I got a Groupon here for a lash lift and tint and had a great experience. Chan is careful and thorough and I'm very happy with my results. The reservation process is a bit of a pain, since you have to leave a deposit to book a time, which seems to be a thing with a lot of salons and spas now. Since my Groupon paid for the service, I was hesitant to shell out more money, but it worked out just fine. I opted for some extra services, like a brow tint, and Chan offered to refund me the difference so I would not overpay for the total. I will be back for sure.

Chan was super nice and patient and took the time to show me where to go when my internet was not working. She did my eye lashes really well anc super professional. She has a super comfy table and super positive energy. I would love to come back my wimpers look amazing!!! Thank you

I’ve gotten my lashes done here several times, and each time I was amazed. Customer service is excellent. Chan is welcoming, warm and strives to ensure you’re comfortable during the service and completely satisfied once done.

This place is the best!!! It was my first time getting an eyelash lift done and I couldn’t have landed a better choice. The vibe of the salon is very chill and relaxed with nice music. The business owner was the person who did my eyelashes and she was so incredibly sweet and caring. She took her time and had the softest hands. I even fell asleep for a while there. I will be recommending all of my friends here... I’ll definitely be back!

Chans beauty bar is the ideal spot if you are looking to get your lashes or brows done.This was my first time and i will be back.It was so relaxing i fell asleep a couple times.

My experience at Chan’s Beauty Bar was amazing . It was my first time getting teeth whitening and while I was nervous to try it out , I’m glad to say that my experience was painless and easy. I actually saw immediate results after my service and I will be sure to be come back!!

I am posting this review warning all potential customers to stay away from this establishment! I purchased a Groupon for her establishment to have eyelashes done canceled my appointment. She redeemed my voucher anyway kept my money is refusing to give it back. She’s lying to Groupon saying that I intimidated her and was going to come to her office and cause a whole Lot of problems when she told me I was not allowed to even step foot in her office without giving her $25 for an appointment, I called her multiple multiple times to refund my money and she never returned one call. I called her on Halloween and she berated me about that. Why am I calling her on a holiday? I said because you have my money I’ve called you four times she continued to yell at me. She’s obviously very uneducated and has no type of professionalism whatsoever or care about her customers. How she should have handled the issue was to say come in tomorrow and we’ll talk about it . She’s telling me there’s no way anything got redeemed without you having a procedure show me some paperwork I’ve never stepped foot in her office so she sent Groupon a message lied to them. Refuses to give me my money back so now this is gonna have to go a whole lot further and I don’t care if it’s $57 so I’m warning you guys out there stay away because not only has my money been stolen but she is very very rude. Very rude , and because of this one incident I will never use coupon ever again. She had the audacity to tell me if post any reviews she was going to file a defamation case go right on ahead. I’ll be glad to see you there. Glad to see you in court with my counterclaim. STAY AWAY AND CHECK YOU ACCOUNTS !

So I got a Groupon for Chans Beauty Bar on Macdill ave.

I tried to make my appt. and realized it wouldn't make an appt without a deposit. I was confused because I put the voucher in and it still wanted me to pay for the deposit so I did.

I paid for the "deposit" already having paid for the service because I wanted to secure the only appointment available for this week.

I texted the owner she said she couldn't refund my deposit and that I checked the waiver saying I understand.

I explained I paid for the service and thought paying for the deposit was just to secure the appt. And she would just refund it because I was a Groupon customer. (Because I had no other option but to pay for the deposit)

She proceeded to tell me that she would refund the deposit and cancel my appointment.

I asked if I could keep my appointment and she didn't respond.

I then asked if she didn't want to service me that was fine but she needed to let me know so I could tell Groupon to refund me.

She told me "Please contact Groupon regarding your refund."

This was after I apologized TWICE.

I didn't want to go to someone who didn't want to serve me and could potentially harm me.

But that's the worst customer service ever. And now Groupon said it's too late for a refund but I could trade. Which isn't the point it's the point she's literally refusing a service to be PETTY.

I wanted to add that I asked if there was a way to bypass the deposit. But texted me back after I already scheduled it. I know she books up fast and didn't want someone to take that slot. But when I tried using the code she provided there was no where to put it. She didn't explain that there's a button at the very bottom saying "coupon" code and that's where I needed to enter it.

I was super excited to go get my lashes and my brows done with her as the work that she has up on her page is beautiful!
Upon making the appointment it asked me to put a $35 deposit. Something that seemed normal as I have had businesses do this in the past to make sure that clients come in on time and are not a no show. But usually this is put as a hold so when I looked at my credit card account it seemed odd that the payment was processed. I immediately contacted her and asked her about it. The messages show the conversation that was had.
I simply asked for a refund of the $35 dollars, she told me the only thing she could do was give me a $35 credit. I then stated i didn’t feel comfortable having her do my lashes and brows anymore and the only thing I would want is my refund back. She then accused me of harassment and threatened to call the cops on me. These messages were the only exchanges I had with her. None of these messages were disrespectful or threatening in anyway. I simply wanted my money refunded, a simple task.
I understand that 35 dollars doesn’t seem like a lot, but as a college student it is the source of my food, I can’t afford to lose 35 or use 35 dollars towards her services.
I am very disappointed with this whole situation due to the fact that I was so excited to have my lashes and brows done.
