MDFR Firehouse 14 - Miami Dade Fire Rescue

So many times in life our gratefulnesss for super amazing teams go unreported. From the moment I met the crew from Station 14t, until they left us safe and feeling reassured, I knew I had to applaud their expertise, professionalism and amazing attitudes. My daughter had a life-threatening post-op complication, and they took the scariest moment of my life and turned it back to normal within just a few moments..... Constantly reassuring me that they were there for whatever we needed. I will be ever grateful to the heroes of Station 14. Thank you so much for your kindness and willingness to do
whatever it took solve our emergency.

Back in 2010 we had a horendous nightmare of an experience with this department during a 911 call related to my mother complaing of extreme head pain, this department showed up with 3 medics and after my mother of 50 years a nurse told them she believed she was having a stroke, they casually administered her and slowly took her out to the ambulance. As me and my family rushed out to follow, we sat there for anout 5 minutes while it seemed they where working on my mom, when i got inpatient and banged on the door asking why they wernt rushing to the hosital, ehich is several blocks away, one of the rescue guys said it was ok, ghey where taking care of our mom. Then they started to leave and left slowly with the lights still on but no siren. We followed close behind to hospital, we parked and ran into hospital and watchef the fire rescue slowly back in and slowly take my mom out and push her into it seemed a waiting line of patients. THERE WAS NO EMERGENCY. We frantically started yelling to the nurses and doctors snd after a few minutes THEY REALIZED MY MOTHER WAS HAVING A SERVERE HEAD STROKE. Then it became an emergency!!! THIS FIRE RESCUE DROPPED THE BALL ON MY MOM AND REPORTED SHE HAD A MILD HEAD ACHE!!!!!!!!!!

We know that the FIRE RESCUE is suppose to take serious headaches seriously and rush patients to the hospitsl as fast as they can to get a CAT scan for surgeons to determine a course of action.

These 3 did not do that! We tried to sue them, but no lawyer would do anything since they have a legal limit on being sued at $1000.

I went also here to report issus to manager. Nothing happened. Ill think twice calling 911 next time and drive myself to th hospital.
