Sarah K's Gourmet

We got the surf and turf, two frozen casseroles and some chicken strips for our group. All were great and convenient, we especially loved the crab cakes and brownies!

Sarah K's has been open for a number of years and is perennially popular with many local residents. It is located in a shopping center, does not face out on Highway 98, and can easily be missed by the hundreds of thousands who drive down 98 in a given year.

For ease of locating the shop, it is very close to Cracker Barrel restaurant (which is facing highway 98).

Sarah K's sells carry-out and is known for its gourmet meals. The most popular item on the menu is the crab cakes.

I cannot eat crab due to an allergy but family members tell me the crab cakes sold here are very good. They are a light brown color and easy to heat up in a microwave or an oven. For those looking for a gourmet meal to take back to the family in one of the many condos in the area, this may be the good start to a gourmet meal.

I personally go for the "Death by Chocolate" brownie. I can eat one by myself but it is large enough for two people unless they are chocolate fanatics.

There is always a good selection of gourmet selections to take home often including chicken dishes, pasta, etc. Many of the dishes feature crab.

I recently picked up a slice of lasagna without any crab. It was a large piece, and tasted great. I heated it up in a microwave for about 1 1/4 minutes, poured a glass of wine, and enjoyed the meal.

In addition to the items displayed in a case, there are a number of dishes that are frozen and ready to take out of the store.

The employees here are always very friendly, willing, and eager to help a customer pick out something appropriate for their meal and are more than helpful in sharing information on the dishes that are available.

It is a small place, it is not inexpensive, but the food is excellent. The cost for a gourmet meal is worth the trip.

Absolutely delicious food and a terrific value for your money! The jumbo lump crab cakes were amazing, as were the crab-stuffed chicken, chicken tenders, and sides. A perfect option for a wonderful, restaurant-quality meal in our townhouse while avoiding the stress of fighting the crowds in restaurants. I can’t recommend Sarah Al’s Gourmet enough! We’ll definitely be back!

As I’m typing this review… I’m crying literal tears 🥲 No fear its joy and sadness ONLYY because I live in Ohio and she’s closed Sunday and Monday due to short staff and mind you she’s expecting. I got 2 crab cakes and potato casserole and peanut butter bar and all were soooo good!!! I see the rave!! Mind you I showed up about 5:15 and I had to head and then come back up before she was closed and it was impossible. But everyone needs to check her out! Her food is amazing and I’m just sad I can’t take none back home to enjoy!!

Was so excited to try this place, and Sarah K’s definitely didn’t disappoint.
I called ahead for a lunch deal, a jumbo crab cake, and small salad and the pistons were anything but!
I loved every single bite and highly recommend the spicy seafood sauce ✨
I was also impressed with how genuinely king and quick the ladies behind the desk were.
I called in on the Wednesday before thanksgiving, knowing how busy they were preparing, yet the woman still accompanied my Togo lunch order.
ALSO everything was reasonably priced and I cannot complain!
Will absolutely be returning to try more!!

This a great place. It’s a Hidden Gem, crab cakes, soups and chicken fingers. We are snowbirds and have enjoyed every meal we purchased.

We had a huge family vacation with people coming at all different times. One evening we bought lasagna to feed 10 & garlic bread. One pan was plenty & we had leftovers. It was FANTASTIC!! I asked them to cater an order for a luau themed party we’re were having immediately following professional beach pics. I wanted something hearty that would feed a crowd. One of our guests was dairy free & they did a great job labeling everything. The mini crab cakes were everyone’s favorite. I would definitely order from them again. Highly recommend!!

After a week in FL, I couldn’t leave without a crab cake. Dropped in here and they heated one up for me along with a crab stuffed chicken breast. Holy Hannah, so good! 10/10 crab cake!

Coming from a pretty serious from-scratch home cook, I’m genuinely impressed by this place. When I came in, Ashley was working and she was WONDERFUL. I left with chicken salad, crab cakes, crab stuffed chicken, their signature sauce and a brownie. Everything was great! This is an excellent option for stocking up your condo with premade but good quality food, or just picking up dinner/lunch if you’re local. The crab cakes and chicken heated up really well in the oven. I wouldn’t hesitate to pick up anything from here! The pricing isn’t bad, either.

I got a crab cake, potato salad, and shrimp and crab corn chowder. Crab cake was absolutely phenomenal. I can easily see why they are known for crab cakes. They were so good I finished my meal, went back inside and ordered another. I have never had a crab cake as good as this! Potato salad- not a fan. But chowder was amazing! I will be back and would recommend to anyone.

New to Destin. Heard about Sarah K’s via a frequent visitor to area. Great location, great customer service, great prices & excellent food. I’m sold!!

From Illinois and after reading reviews stopped into get some crab cakes, crab stuffed chicken and lasagna for dinners. The crab cakes did not disappoint and the crab stuffed chicken was great too. Can't wait to try the lasagna tonight. A definite must stop while in Destin.

Fantastic Vacation Addition!
Sara K’s gourmet was an unbelievable addition to our trip. We were welcomed to a stocked kitchen, cold beverages and incredible dinner of crab stuffed chicken and chicken fingers the kids ate for several days! We ordered breakfast and lunch for several days; incredible fruit, burritos and breakfast casserole not to mention the quiche and mimosas. For lunch we had the chicken salad and Asian slaw with additions of hummus, cheese spread, and smoked tuna - all of which far exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed the slaw and chicken salad for multiple days. We also enjoyed incredible fruit trays, beef sandwiches, and absolutely incredible crab cakes! We tried to figure out what made the crab cakes so incredible and finally we just agreed the absolute quantity of crab! Every dish literally exceeded expectations with flavor. The ease in ordering and the commitment to delivery was simple and again exceeded expectations. Thank you so much for helping to make our vacation simpler, tastier, and much better for quality of food choices for a large group! We will return to Destin and Sara K’s will be a key element to another successful trip!

Excellent! Our extended family was on vacation for a week...I placed a catering order for Wednesday and then also decided to walk in and pick up lasagna, eggplant parm, and garlic bread for our first night in town. Each phone conversation and in store interaction was amazing! Staff was incredibly helpful and kind...food was delicious and everyone was pleased with both meals. In addition to the lasagna, we loved the tenderloin biscuits, baked potato casserole, baby crabcakes, tilapia, key lime pie, and brownies!

We ordered the surf and turf for six Everything was ready when we got there. The warming instructions were easy to follow. The mini crab cakes were some of the best we ever had. The strawberry salad was fresh and crisp and the dressing was perfect. The Filet Mignon was huge and They cooked up perfectly. We had some bacon and wrapped them. Since this was our 50th wedding anniversary we didn’t try the brownies until the next day because we had an anniversary cake. But they were a huge hit after swimming the next day. The staff were so nice they even gave us a bottle of champagne for the celebration. After having to change our plans for a big celebration, Sarah K’s made the dinner memorable.

WE found Sarah K's by blind luck, and boy were WE lucky!! Sarah herself took care of us, explained the best way to enjoy everything, and sent us on our way with a smile. Food was absolutely fantastic!!

Everyone was really welcoming and helpful in being able to try samples of spreads. The Usual salad and pimento cheese was delicious and filling. I appreciated the staff checking in to be sure my dining experience was nice. Will return when I visit Destin in the future.
