Georgia Square Mall

This mall used to be a fantastic place, but things have taken a turn for the worse. Some of the stores like Rainbow and Elite Furniture have shut down, and even Bath & Body Works is gone. It's pretty sad to see the mall going down the drain, and guess what? We're part of the problem. A lot of us have been shopping online, and that's hurting these malls.

But here's the good news – we can fix it! To make this mall awesome again, we all need to start shopping at the few stores that are left. When we do that, it shows that we want the mall to thrive. And when more people start shopping here, it'll attract new stores to come in. So, let's support our local mall and make it a great place for everyone once more!

I went there with my daughter today and had a great time.. There was a Christmas parade with santa Claus .. and the lady let me and my daughter ride the motorized animals for free for like 45min which was extremely nice. I think it was bc of the parade but still she didn't have to do that but she did and we had an amazing time

Pretty good little mall, it is pretty empty compared to the other Georgia Mall. However, I like it do to the less people.

We love this mall! I just wish all the stores would stop moving out. The mall is always clean and parking is easy.

They are doing the best with what they have. Long live the mall.

This is a great little regional mall. I only wish the nearby $1.50 theater was still open. We stopped by to drop off recycling at the recycling center across the street and popped in the mall for a moment. It was kind of sad seeing the darkened theater where we saw many a good movie on the cheap back in the day. I wish someone would buy the theater, renovate and reopen it. I would be happy to pay as much as $4 a ticket for older movies rather than be stuck with no option than to pay $12 or more per ticket to see brand new movies every time. **It's now 6 months after my initial review and the sight of the still dark movie theater still makes me heartsick.**

The mall is nice and clean. The staff are very friendly. I enjoy the food there a lot. I like riding the escalators, I would ride them all day, if I could. I kinda miss Macy's being there. Most of the stores are top-notch, while others are not. I highly recommend this mall.

This place has been here since I can remember. It has a great variety of different stores and I can always find what I need here. A fantastic place to go for Christmas shopping for friends and Loved ones. Also a great car of food. Santa is there now for Christmas wish list for the children. Also, I just took m girls to Ride the animal scooters that was only 6 bucks each. It was a fun time.

The mall is always clean, bathrooms are clean, and I can always find a close parking spot when it's not a holiday. There's a great variety of foods in the food court, even authentic Mexican. It's usually pretty quiet in here on weekdays when I've been, it's a great place to have a peaceful snack or meal and just relax.

This place wasn't over crowded and the parking was great. I had a wonderful shopping experience no Hassel the shops are great also the deals right now are amazing. I would definitely take my family there and visit again. The food court has a variety of different tastes for whatever your craving. I was not disappointed for a smaller mall it is put together well.

I have loved this mall since I was in college. It has ( as have all malls ) lost a lot of stores . This is sad as it’s so nice to shop indoors in a nice climate controlled atmosphere where stores are in walking distance and you can sit down relax eat a bite or get a coffee and dessert. I still love coming here . I hope more people in Athens and surrounding areas will realize what a loss it would be not to have our mall . It’s a family and friend center where holiday festivities can begin . Please support the mall and encourage local business to open again at our mall. Athens is such a unique city we can stop the trend of “mall death “ for our city and make the mall great again .

The mall used to be drab but they’re getting more and more businesses and the mall traffic is real open so you don’t have to worry about crowds. I have to say my favorite store is the alteration shop upstairs and to the left of the stairs. They do a great job and fast work. I’ve gone there a few times and never had a complaint.

As far as malls go this is one of the better ones in my opinion, because it's not so huge and busy and they have a great Santa during the Christmas season as well as a train that kids and their parents can ride all around the mall. They also have stuffed animals that are battery powered that the kids can ride on and drive all over the mall at a price and being as how it isn't super busy it's actually a safe thing to do here. Great fun for families and an all around fun mall for the kids. I take my kids here every year to get their pictures taken with Santa and the Santa has a real beard and hair and takes time with the kids to read them a story from his book and talk with them. My kids have never been afraid of the Santa at this Mall and that's not something I can say about the other bigger and busier malls. It's just a great local Mall with a local hometown atmosphere that you just can't get at the HUGE Mega Malls.

I love bringing my kids to the mall and they love it, too. In the summer it provides a comfortable air-conditioned place to shop and have lunch. In the winter, we visit Santa Claus and have fun just hanging out, riding the train, riding stuffed animals, and searching for deals.

It seems that the mall is to he demolished and changes are in the works. Idk how I feel about this. I'm an 80s baby..."THE MALL" was the place to be during the day on weekends, then roller skating at night. That whole experience is a thing of the past. I'M OFFICIALLY OLD NOW. 😞😞😞

This use to be the go to place when I was kid. It was so nice to come back and still see the little train for the kiddos. My daughter and I had blast wasn’t too crowded and was a peaceful environment. JoJo’s lemonade is the spot for a cool refreshing drink with the most amazing customer service! I just love you 😍 guys! Great experience!!!

Love that it's an air conditioned space especially with this weather. Love Belks, always a sale on nice merchandise. I will be sorry to see the mall close.

I wish somebody would take care of this mall I remember this place back in the Glory Days I miss it I love coming here as a kid I wish somebody would fix it up it's really run down needs a lot of work but there's a lot of people that miss it like I do hope everybody that was here is doing the best they can now only two restaurants still remain

Love this mall. Love the people the crowd the stores. EVERYTHING!!
