Wonderful office staff and Dr. Smith and Dayna her NP treat us with great care. We can always get an appointment when we need it. We have used Dr. Smith for the last 15 years and just wish our kids didn’t age out at 18!

Great group of people to take your kids to. We have been going since 2011 and have had no issues.

This is a great doctors office! Down to the ladies at the front office, who are always so sweet and accommodating. I never have a problem getting an appointment if one of my littles is sick, I can call and we are in within the hour, usually 30 minutes later. They genuinely care about their patients. My son was sick and Dr. Smith called me the next day to check on him and make sure he was okay!
I have heard some negative things about the office but have NEVER once experienced anything less than the best care for my children. We’ve been coming here for 5+ years and she treats all 3 of my kids. Really just love this place!

I do not understand the negative reviews I see here. Dr. Smith and her staff have always been wonderful with all three of our children. She has always seen us quickly after we call. Dr. Smith has spent time on the phone with us answering questions and guiding us many times. She even called herself (without us asking) to check up on one of our sick kids! My wife, kids, and I absolutely love Dr. Smith and her staff and wouldn’t dream of ever taking our kids anywhere else!

Although we rarely ever go to the MD (knock on wood) she has always been very nice. She is hard core old school which I love, I am not one to pump my kids full of medications that they do not need. I also love her NP she is really sweet. The front desk is always smiling when we come in for check ups or sick visits. I just love the fact she is 15 mins away from my home and although she may come off as mean she is just a hard core peds MD who doesn't sugar coat anything so if you can't stomach someone whose not afraid of telling you what you are doing wrong you better pick someone else.

Dr. Smith puts on an "old country doctor" persona and she was fine for easy things like vaccinations but for any actual problems, you're better off getting your kids treated elsewhere. My kids are older now but the interaction that typifies her services went like this:

Me: Hi, my daughter has something stuck in her eye. Do you have some way to immobilize her head to take it out?
Nurse: Hmm. Just bring her down and we'll check it out.
Me: Yes but she flinches when we try to touch her eye. You're going to need to strap her head down to remove the debris.
Nurse: Sure. Just bring her down and we'll take care of it.

So, we go to Smith's office and she tries to take it out for all of one minute and she has the same flinching problem we did.

Smith: She's flinching her head so I can't get it out of her eye.
Me: Yes, I know. Let's strap her head down so you can hold her eye open and get it out.
Smith: I don't have anything like that and can't get it done.
Me: But I called before I came and the nurse said you did and that you could take care of this.
Smith: I don't have the simple equipment to hold her head steady to remove the foreign object from her eye.

Nurse: Ok, we're charging your insurance company $500 for the visit and your co-pay is $100
Me: Seriously? But you literally did nothing!?!?
Nurse: Your child was seen by the doctor so you owe for the appointment.
Me: What? I phoned before I came here to make sure you could do this and you said you could so I should come. But you actually didn't have the equipment you said you did. The doctor didn't do anything and she tried for less than a minute. We received no service that we were informed you could perform.
Smith: You came and I looked so you owe.

I was unemployed at the time, told them so, and it didn't matter. Ended up going to an eye doctor who fixed it in less than a minute and I had to pay a second co-pay. After that, of course, we knew when there were any problems to skip smith and go to the specialists doctors who have real skill and professional equipment.

Again, I'd take my kids back to her for vaccinations but that's about all she was qualified to do in my experience.

the first time my daughter went in she found Tammy to be rather rude in personality but she respected the doctor, she thought maybe she had a bad day, the second time the following week she asked my daughter to make sure her newborn got more sun and my daughter did so every day, the doctor was annoyed also that the baby was not picking up in weight....note not worried or concerned but Annoyed as if this was on purpose. Her personality was rude yet my daughter respected what she asked of her without complaint. The next trip she told my daughter even though he WAS gaining weight her milk was defective with not enough fat in it ( hey now were judged for eating to healthy as we dont have much fats in our diet ) she told my daughter it was like her milk was 2% and not whole milk and the baby was not picking up weight to HER expectatiions....note the baby WAS gaining and most with common sense know that babys do not follow the exact patterns of others.. We went straight to the grocery store to buy foods with good fats. My daughter though was getting frazzeled by the doctor and her disrespectful manner so she switched pediatricians with her provider and scheduled an appointment for the following week ....so she never MISSED any appointment literally. Tammy did not do her job to check if she changed doctors ( they ARE supposed to ) and when my daughter did not come in she called defacs on her..........Seriously? so now were wrong for cancelling an appointment....ONE appointment to which if the doctor looked she would have seen she was not avoiding the appointment but switched doctors and no wonder why. I BET ten to one Tammy would not have done that if my daughter were rich /well off and not on medicaid. There is a term for this....its called the doctor is an ADULT BULLY. Either one she didnt check what she should have and hastily called defacs even though there is no crime in cancelling an appointment and she was not LATE on it either or the doctor did check and got her ego bruised knowing she never was that smart of a doctor in the first place. Steer clear of her, she is not worthy of a doctors distinction. She is not old school, she just likes to have things her way and only her way and to JUDGE everyone she feels is below her. An adult Bully that never answered for her crimes of judging people she has no authority to do so with or affect their lives.

They refused to see my son with a painful ear infection not because they didn't have any openings - but because of their policy to not see new patients on Mondays or Tuesdays. So they will let my son be in pain an extra day because of policy? Not the way I would expect a pediatrician to treat a child. You just lost 2 potential new patients.
