OMG! I don't know where to start. First off the food is so good I had to type my review while I'm eating. From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with smile faces & warm welcomes. I ordered chips & queso as an appetizer & the Jazzy pasta as my entree. The chips were homemade & delicious. The pasta is absolutely delicious! Everything is hot & homemade, no frozen food. This is a hidden gem in Monroe. I plan to order the beignets & will update later. Kaleb was a great server & so polite.

Omg, can not believe this place has been here for 2 years and we are just now eating here. Great food, great people, no long wait for food and well priced. The crawfish bread is better than Copeland's. The Jazzy potato is to die for and could feed 2 people. We will be back.

Tried this place for the first time and it was quite good. There were 4 of us and we all loved what we ordered! I had the Shrimp and Grits, one friend had fried Catfish and Salad, another Flapjacks and Wings, and last, the Bayou Boujie plate with mash potatoes, grilled fish, and an etouffee sauce. The location was easy to find and we will be back soon.

The food is superb. Highly recommend. Authentic cajun food but not too spice. Will definitely eat at again. The parking is somewhat limited from what I seen though.

Walking in the door it smelled amazing. Didn't take long for the food to live up to it. Amazing to say the least. Definitely worth trying it out, will be back for sure.

Parking can run out quick, but don’t be shy about heading through the front door of this converted house! Charming home-style atmosphere with plenty of original features and vintage decor to delight.

Went for a casual and relaxed late lunch. Server was friendly and the Jazzy Pasta was fantastic. It’s been two weeks and I’m still thinking about that sauce-just enough kick to keep you on your toes. Might be time for another trip!

The restuarant is very clean, excellent service and food so yummy there are no words.

Absolutely Awesome. Crystal, our server was great, atmosphere relaxed, food fit for royalty. It was five of us and we tried each others food. We liked it all. They even remade beignets because we said they were OK, and there expectations were much higher than OK. This place is the place to go to when in Monroe. It was so good we forgot o take photos.

The absolute best shrimp I have had since I moved here, and their beneigts taste phenomenal as well. The owner and the staff were extremely polite, and helped to make the experience a great night out for my wife and me.

We ate here after my son said he came and had the sliders and they were best he has had. We ordered the burgers version and fries. The meat is seasoned perfectly and good quality cheese and bacon were used. Delish! The fries were seasoned well, but do have a kick, so order accordingly. We had the beignets, which were the perfect sweet bite after dinner. The food was not quick at coming out, but worth the wait and not any longer that other eat in restaurants. Enjoy your company and get an appetizer. Wait staff was friendly and attentive; the owner came by and talked with us as well. I will def be back and also spread the word. The jazz music and atmosphere was very relaxing and enjoyable.Thanks guys we had a great time!

Visiting from down south where Cajun food is what I'm use to....When I stepped in this location I felt at home. It had a vintage and comfortable feeling that's a plus when go for food you want to feel welcomed. Now to the food Amazing but those wings were my absolute favorites... Trey I really loved everything. Keep up the great work

My family and I drove in from Beaumont, TX to spend the weekend with my brother Hoss. He brought us here for diner and Trey Brown the owner and chief worked magic in the kitchen cooking us up about 6 different dishes which were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Between the 4 of us we ate until we almost exploded!! My absolute favorite was the shrimp and grits. The hospitality was off the charts from the moment we walked in the door till the moment we rolled ourselves out the door! I just wanted to thank Trey and his staff for being so welcoming and providing us with some of the most fantastic Lousiana cuisine we've every had the pleasure to eat!

Driving from Dallas to Destin, we googled the best Cajun food in Monroe and it led us here. The hospitality and the food were both amazing!! The owner welcomed us and fed us well! If you pass through Monroe and don’t stop here then your bad. Excellent food!

Food was everything! We had the jazzy potato, voodoo chicken, beignets, and butter cream caramel cake. It was amazing! Can't wait to go back. The lemonade is a must. The waiter and chef is awesome.

The Southern Mixing Pot has outstanding customer service, amazing food, and fantastic atmosphere. You should definitely visit and grab a bite to eat. The Jazzy Pasta, Queso Dip, and the fried Catfish was delicious!!

Wait staff was super friendly. Very nice girl. Loveeeeee the decor superrrrr cute omg. Very chic and quaint. I'd love to set up and intimate date here. Prices were good. But menu was limited and only 1 dessert. But the lemonades..BABYYYYYYYY.lol sweet and tasty. Absolutely Positively sure I'll be a regular.

I visited on October 23rd and ordered the Boujie Bayou on the recommendation of Caleb. Excellent! At first, I was going to do takeout. I decided to stay because I could sit outside comfortably which is important to me during this pandemic. Thanks to Caleb & the owner who took the time to talk to me. Takeout, delivery or sitting outside..all of the elements that I need a restaurant to have during these uncertain times. GO SUPPORT this wonderful black owned business!

Best Shrimp and Grits I have tasted. They have a great selection of mixers to choose from. Great location, very good customer service, everyone wore mask, they practice social distance and made sure they kept the area sanitize.
