Great seafood and a variety of other options. Staff was prompt and courteous. Very fulfilling meal. Place decorated with many ducks. Nice stop off on a road trip.

Had a great anniversary dinner here. Awesome crab cake and fried shrimp combo. The shrimp were excellent and looked to be hand breaded. The restaurant is classy and has a nice atmosphere. First time here. Will definitely return.

They have a hidden gem in the kitchen!!
Everything we tasted was fabulous!! From the little items like stewed tomatoes and coleslaw to the main entrees like scallops with crab.
There were a couple of items that were just "good"...
Fried oysters needed some salt and the breading was a little too thick (IMO), but cooked perfectly also the tossed salad was a little simple but fresh.
When you walk in the building the furnishings are starting to look a little tired, but definitely worth a stop if you are in the area

We received fantastic service from the moment we walked in the door. Food was very good and generous portions. Alicia was a great waitress and very kind and patient with my friends 90 year old father. She was super. I feel like we have found a new place for frequent visits. I felt the price was reasonable for the quality and portion size.

The food was amazing and service was excellent. The owners are usually there to great you and are just very sweet people. Their house dressing Parmesan peppercorn is so great, I bought extra to take home. Great value for seafood. My husband and I have a wonderful meal with all the trimmings, cost about the same as any fancy chain restaurants and the food is so much better.

Extremely good food and inexpensive for what you receive. We go to this place when entertaining out of town guests. Had the Crab cakes and also Shrimp. Crab cakes are the best; and could not believe the size, quantity, and superb taste of the extremely largest Shrimp. Never had a bad meal there Table cloth on tables, excellent service. Big banquet room if you need one.

Great food at a good price. Especially the Friday Saturday and Sunday prime rib cooked the way you like it. The service is great portions are good and the people are very friendly. They also have excellent crab cakes. Don't forget the free Thursday desserts. I would recommend it to anyone. There is also no dress code so go as you are.

Made lunchtime reservations for 4 of us, one couple from NJ and one couple from VA...meeting "in the middle." We were greeted warmly at the door and kindly seated at a great table. One member had the scallops, one had shrimp and two of us had the crab cakes. We were all genuinely delighted with our meals...the crab cakes were just lumps of crab mysteriously held together with more crab! Highly recommend. And have some hot cider. To top it off we were welcomed to linger, which we did, for THREE hours being that we were two long lost cousins meeting for the first time.

The food and service both were EXCELLENT!!!!!!!! Crab Cakes are amazing, so is the Crab Bisque and Seafood Bisque!!!!! My husband enjoyed the King Cut Prime Rib!!!!! And we both loved that the waitress when she brought our rolls out we also received a little bowl of veggies and dip!!!!! We will be back for sure

Had some of the best damn crab cakes in a 20 mile radius and we had crabcakes from 5 different places. The service is superb and Terry was an amazing host. The wine selection could be much better. Oh. And did I mention they had free dessert on Thursdays.

My wife and I came down from York Pa for the Arts festival. We had lunch with her relatives. The food was excellent. On Sunday we returned for dinner. Once again the food was great. The service was great and personable. We enjoyed the conversation with both the servers and the owner. Even though I left Havre de Grace back in 1959, I believe we will be visiting the area many times in the future just to enjoy the wonderful food at the Bayou.

Great crab cakes, good wine selection, and great service! Jennie was my server and she was attentive, kind, and had perfect timing! I have no complaints- highly recommend! The koi pond is cute too.

Private Event was awesome! Everything I had here was amazing from the Prime Rib to the Lump Crab Cakes, from the seasoned potatoes and brown sugar carrots...everything was amazing and very tasty! Can't go wrong with anything I described here...I highly recommend this restaurant when in the area!

Everything is good here. Great place and the crab cake is what you dream a crab cake should be. I hate coming here and not having one but there are other things on the menu. Last time I totally indulged and order the "Scallops Imperial". Giant sea scallops topped with crab meat. Truly wonderful, though if I have to admit, too much!

I have not been to the Bayou in a long time, and I am happy to say that their food is still excellent! The chicken cordon blue is one of my favorite items on the menu and their crab cakes are among the best. The entire staff is very friendly and prices are reasonable. Well worth the stop if you are traveling through HDG on 95/40.

Been going to the Bayou for years now, since I was a kid. The food is great and so is the service. The fried oysters and strawberry pie are the best around. Lou Ward runs a great little restaurant. Prices are very reasonable.

I've always loved the Bayou! Its good quality better than home cooked food. They have some regional, old school menu items like Shad row(not my personal taste) and oysters. I love the vegetable bowl with homemade pepper parmesan dressing. One of the last great original restaurants.

We were greeted by the most pleasant hostess Shannon. The atmosphere of the place was nice. Our waitress terry was very attentive and sweet. Over all a great time. I’d be happy to be back very soon.

I have been going to the Bayou for 50 years. The food is outstanding. The owner Lou is on the ball!!!!! My mom and I thoroughly enjoyed the fried oyster platter. Prices are reasonable. Service is great. Deserts are delicious.

The food at the Bayou never disappoints. My salmon and crab imperial tonight was excellent. Lou Ward and his staff continue to do the exceptional job for which they are well-known. It's always a treat to dine here!
