Stone Mill Cafe/Bakery

We stopped in while on our way to Virginia. We were very impressed with this place. The place is deceptively large. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is inside seating as well as a nice shaded outdoor place. The food and coffee were excellent! We had a couple of bakery items, egg sandwiches, and dark chocolate mochas. Everything was delicious! We would certainly return.

We were in town for a doctors appointment and needed some place to eat before heading back. It’s in a convenient location by the offices. The staff is super friendly, and the owner is very personable! The food was so good! We sat outside by the garden, it’s a beautiful view!

Great place for a cup of coffee, a casual business meeting or snack with a friend. The food is delicious. The coffee is strong and the service is wonderful. Plenty of parking and seating - both indoors and out

Easy location and a good amount of options. Grab coffee or something more like sandwiches and soups.

There’s plenty to choose from. I preferred the Curry Chicken Salad Sandwich. While I waited, I also picked up some sweets from the display. Everything tasted good and the Hot Chocolate was great on such a cold day.

Delicious little gem of a place. The menu of sandwiches and treats is varied and tasty. Coffee was good, too. Service was attentive. No other cafe within miles, so this location will become a go-to.

Fantastic service and wonderful food. The turkey powerhouse sandwich is really good, esp the feta and spinach focaccia. My wife had the yogurt with their homemade honey Granola. We will be back for sure to explore more of the menu. Great stuff guys

We had the skinny burrito and a Western omelette with biscuit, both delicious. And the hot chocolate, OMG! Truly the BEST EVER! Service was excellent and the decor, very warm and inviting. Shoot our to Chris at the register. He's been there for many years, super friendly and helpful. Won't be nearly so long till we're back again.

Great service. Delicious food. Everything we could have wanted. We will visit again whenever we are passing through! Server was very friendly, he was excited to share that the Arnold Palmer was made with freshly squeezed lemonade.

I frequent this bakery often for their quality coffee, tea and sandwiches. More than anything else, though, their service is top notch. These days it’s hard to find someone who cares about service, about being friendly or helpful. Stone Mill management and employees seem to enjoy their work and the food shows that. They cook with love. The pastries taste like it too.

Love the tomato basil soup! Very pretty location aswell. Grilled cheese sandwich can be better as it was very hard.

My absolute favorite place to eat for the last 20 years. Staff is out-of-this-world incredible. Amazing to see the same friendly faces for decades. The food could not get better!

My husband and I stopped in this morning for the first time while visiting the area. I have to say they deserve a 5 star rating. The huge biscuits were the best I have ever had, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Same for the French baguette. The breakfast sandwich made with the biscuit was very generous, delicious, made to order. The coffee was hot and fresh. In my opinion, the food, although not inexpensive was worth the price based on size, quality, atmosphere and service. The owner treated us as if we were patrons.
I am a foodie, cook,/+bake frequently and have travelled extensively for my business. For those who appreciate fine food, this is the place!

This place is manna from heaven! So awesome! Amazing coffee, cool experience, so clean now the best part they have toys for kids to play with while mom's can have there coffee!! The food was so good, my son got a cool pirate cookie and they give refills on coffe!!! This is my new favorite spot! So cute they use actual coffe mugs and cute creamers!! Love it!! So much fun!! Delicious food. It is obvious that the staff takes a lot of pride in their food and service. I go there about once every six months while visiting the medical center near there, and they make me feel like I'm their best friend. Very nice on a stressful day. In the summertime lunch in the courtyard is an extra treat. Their baked goods get a special call-out: They are amazing!

My husband and I have enjoyed supporting this place since we were dating! For us the drive is not short but it is worth it for the very best breakfast and lunch in the area! The staff is warm and knowledgeable, the atmosphere casual and comfortable and the food is impeccable. Everything is made and ingredients selected with such care, down to the tea selection. Lastly, I rarely leave without taking something from the bakery, delectable!

I work at Green Spring Station and my husband picked me up for lunch! We spent about $25 a head, but the food was excellent and we got two meals out of both our sandwiches.

What a surprise. The blueberry pie which was a hard decision over the eclair creation but an extremely good choice. The breakfast biscuit with egg, cheese and chicken sausage was incredible. Combine this with a serene outdoor seating and I was jealous that we do not have one here in Delaware. The icing on the top was the incredible southern hospitality of the staff. Can't wait to come back.
