I've eaten here several times and never disappointed. Hands down the best crab cakes I've ever had and typically our go-to. I went with the Hot Roast Beef platter with the mini crab cake appetizer and both absolutely incredible! The prime rib was sliced to perfection, juicy, and stacked high on the plate. Great seafood, great steak, and great atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Pappas Sports Bar has been around since 1972 and have won numerous awards for their crab cakes, including being featured on the cover of Baltimore Magazine and appearing on Food Network and the Travel Channel. Last night I experienced these epic crab cakes at their Cockesville, Maryland location. It wasn't my first time at this venue. However it's the first time I was compelled to give their crab cakes a 5 star review in Google Maps.

They use a secret recipe with mostly lump crab meat and minimal filler. Many online reviews praise their crab cakes, highlighting their taste, size, and quality. I am now one of them!

Been coming here for years with my family for the best crab cake in Maryland (take it from a life-long marylander people!!) it is LUMP crab- super moist. The place makes their own crab seasoning too. Salty but so so good. Got the jackknife potatoes on the side which were small and just okay. Boyfriend got the rockfish which he said was just okay. Dad got the scallops which he LOVED. And the crab pretzel is a MUST people!! Get the crab cake you won’t regret it.

Best crab cakes in Maryland! We got them to go. But we had a bowl of crab soup while ther and it's the best I ever had! So much cream the spoon nearly stood up in it. Great flavor and lots of crab 🦀

This restaurant blends quintessential Baltimore cuisine and upscale dining with out being stuffy. The food is great the service is excellent. I do recommend making reservations due to the heavy traffic. Our waiter Boris we great, friendly, helpful, and relatable. The support staff would not allow our drinks to see the bottom of the glass. Parking was easy to find with a plethora of spots in front of the shopping center. Now for the good part!

The grilled octopus was delicious and not overly cooked. Tender octopus is miracle in most dinning establishments but they parted the red seas on this one. We had the half and half crab soup (half cream of cream/half Maryland crab) and it was awesome. The soup was seasoned appropriately and had large lumps of crab and a proportional amount of standard maryland crab veggies. Jackknife potatoes are simalar to twice baked potatoes minus the skins. The slaw was a good mixe of vinegar and mayo but the crab cakes stole the show. Everything a crab cake should be.

Met new regulars last night and totally enjoyed the conversation. Great beer selection and wait staff, thank you Ben, Justin, Sam and Tony. Oysters, crabcakes and cheeseburger were the best on our date night.

We had lunch at Pappas Restaurant and Sports Bar today, and we were really impressed. This is the first time I've eaten here and I have to say the crabcakes are just amazing. They are filled with crab meat and flavor. Without a doubt, one of the best I have ever had.

The Maryland Crab soup was excellent. The Bay and Turf (8oz Filet & Broiled Crab Cake) we're cooked to perfection. The mashed and baked potato were also good. The dining room was separate from the Sports Bar and you wouldn't know it was there. The Sports Bar area is huge with plenty of seating for quite a number of people to have a great time eating and drinking while watching your favorite game.

Never thought to come for a weekend lunch, but a couple of beer and a giant club sandwich is just the thing after spending time at Loch Raven Reservoir.

The turkey club was tall, and satisfying. Two glasses of Leinie Summer Shandy is perfect pairing.

Mike was our server and he was stupendous. I had the grouper delight—very delicious! My boyfriend and I had a great time here, would definitely come back if we get the chance.

My sister to my Mom and I to lunch here. They had been here before, but it was my first time. Rhonda was our waitress, and she was amazing. I can't remember when I last had such excellent service. We all had the crab cake lunch special. I got the cream of crab soup, and they got the Maryland crab soup. The soups were great, but the crab cakes were amazing! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a tablecloth dining experience with excellent food and service.

This is an amazing restaurant! First, the service is top notch. My server (Mike) was attentive, fast, knowledgeable and very personable.

Second, the food was incredible. I ordered the crab soup and crab cake dinner, both dishes were extremely flavorful. The restaurant crab seasoning enhanced the entrees and would be good on any dish (the seasoning is better than Old Bay in my opinion). I highly recommend this restaurant.

Went for NYE and had a great time! Crab cakes are fantastic, of course! Service was good too and they were very busy!

My salad with tuna was the best I've had on the East Coast. Fresh and grilled to perfection!

Everything was awesome... All the food was perfectly made. The crab chowder was delicious and I swear after having a few things on our table. I definitely wanted to try the entire menu. Also the place is cozy and is position so that you are at a healthy distance. The waiters was very good.... I can't say anything negative about this restaurant.

We came to Parkton for a game and found this restaurant nearby for late dinner. We ordered the crab dip for appetizer and it's hand down the best crab dip I have ever had, it pairs with the crispy pita bread that I usually don't touch. We ordered their famous crab cake and cake imperial. The portion are so big that can be spilt by two people. I ordered the special soft shell stuffed crab and it is the best value meal you can order from the menu. It comes with a soup, two sides and a soda drink. The meal itself has a portion of two combined entrees. I will definitely will come back again eventhough I have to drive over an hour to get here but it is totally worth it.

The crab cake was very good. Chicken parmesan was delicious as well. We did ask for extra sauce and didn't really get it but the sauce we did get had a good flavor to it. The service was very good. Prices are a little high. But other than that everything was very nice

The crab cake was delicious. Although there was no crowd the service was a little slow but our server was pleasant & made it a great experience. He even brought out a piece of cake for my birthday 😊

Was here late night for some food and banter. The food tasted great and came out pretty quickly. I can imagine the place gets packed whenever there's a game.

I've been to Pappas twice now. Everything has been delicious. I'm not a crab cake fan but I see everyone ordering it at Pappas so I ordered one. I see why Oprah likes them. Oysters, wings, crab cakes, potstickers all have been great. Servers are attentive. I recommend Pappas.
