If I could rate this 10 stars I would! That was truly one of the best dining experiences I've had, especially being our first time to the area I did not know what to expect. The food was made with care, the crab was sweet and served large pieces. 2 of us had their bowl and my husband had the crab and spinach omelet. By far though my favorite was the creamy crab soup. The mouth feel was like silk on my tongue and the taste was amazing!! Wonderful service and clean and cozy environment. Go!!!

Ever since I started working out in Arbutus and discovered this place, I just can't stop going there. Everyone there is so welcoming, the prices are great (especially in today's economy), and the food is fantastic! This is one of my new favorite food places in Baltimore, if not my actual favorite!

Out of town searching for a good lunch spot . Came across Our Recipe Cafe which did not disappoint. Shrimp Salad was delicious with lots of huge shrimp in a light dressing on a fresh brioche bun. Also had the Shrimp Po Boy loaded again large shrimp lightly breaded and served with delicious French fries. Got to chat with the owners who very personable and checked with us frequently and answered any questions we had about menu. If you are in the area, you will definitely not want to miss this wonderful breakfast and lunch spot or an early dinner as they close at 5.00 pm. Next time we are in from
Kentucky we will definitely return.

Small place about 4 tables. Parking was a challenge. I drove past it a couple of times before I saw it. The food was really good and I hope I get back there soon. Wish they delivered to my area.

Such a great find. Had breakfast with my parents this morning and we had a lovely time. Beverly was so nice and attentive. Lots of options on the menu. I went with the Chesapeake breakfast bowl. The lump crab was plentiful and the lumps were nicely sized. It was perfection. Can’t wait to come back soon.

I'm so glad I didn't give up initially getting lost finding this place. The really sweet lady who's name I wish I got was helpful over the phone and just as warm in person. I purchased a shrimp/crab and grits bowl and she must have read my mind when she recommended the specialty beverages. I went with a peach rosemary lemonade and it was fresh, delicious and paired perfectly with my meal. I will definitely be back and will highly recommend this cute and cozy Cafe to anyone looking for delicious food and service to match.

First time at this cafe, and it couldn't have been better! Everything was lovely. The service, the food, the atmosphere. It is one of those places that makes you want to come back to try all of the other menu items. I highly recommend the veggie burger with sweet potato fries. The burger actually IS home made! I was skeptical because some places just say that and simply serve a store bought veggie burger, so I was overjoyed to have a real in house veggie burger!

I was born and raised in Louisiana. I have a, let's say, several strong opinions, and a long history with shrimp and grits.

I doubt I'll ever have the opportunity to sample the rest of their menu because I don't think I've had better in close to a decade. Everyone needs this in their life. This will be that dish I keep coming back to, mmph *chef's kiss*.

A little embarrassed, I walked in with two suitcases after getting a Lyft from the airport and was welcomed with open arms by the lovely couple who own the restaurant. I immediately felt relaxed as they were beyond attentive and friendly and it was apparent this was no act because everyone who came in was greeted as a friend. The service, the atmosphere, the food, the cafe….all wonderful! I will definitely go back the next time I’m in town. It’s a real treat! Go check it out!!

Definitely a place to go for a great breakfast with fantastic croissants

The location is a bit odd to park in but over all the experience is worth it. Great grits honestly surprised me how quality they were given the lackluster started for grits in the area

In the area to pick up an item. Hungry for breakfast and saw this play highly rated. Well worth it. Took 20 mins for food to come but well worth it. My husband who’s a picky eater loved most of what was on my plate and all of his.
I got the brunchwhich and he got combo 2!

Ordered from this hidden gem in the heart of Arbutus today via GrubHub. Let me start by saying, it’s little places like this that still give Arbutus, the small town vibes to us “Arbutus people” that we love.

Although I didn’t get to experience the atmosphere first hand because I ordered from GrubHub, I am positive I will go in and dine next time and not be disappointed.

I ordered…

•The breakfast sandwich with bacon, eggs and cheese on a fresh croissant. This was delicious. The croissant was especially fresh.

•The grits, were full of flavor! I didn’t even need to add salt and/or pepper.

•The cream of crab soup was outstanding. Like REALLY good. Made with chunks of crabmeat and seasoned well.

To the owners, thank you for bringing this amazing gem to Arbutus. This small town girl is greatly impressed.

Crab Shrimp and Grits! Amazing food. Seemed very authentic. Ordered takeout, had to pull off the road to get at it while it was hot. Price was more than fair

Such a quaint little cafe in Arbutus. I loved the decor. The waitress was so sweet and nice. I ordered the honey crunch French toast with a side of home fries. It was so delicious 🤤. I also tried the hot apple cider which was really good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Good eats for the price☺

I honestly have nothing negative to say. The meal was exactly what I wanted, a delicious burger and fries. Not greasy, not messy. Kudos, I’ll definitely be back. Oh! The staff were a pleasure as well.

The food was outstanding! We ordered shrimp and grits, sweet potato fries and wings w/ JO seasoning. The shrimp were delicious with a nice spice that balanced beautifully with the creamy grits. I was very impressed with the wings and their texture! Satisfyingly crunchy and moist! Will definitely be returning!

A cannot miss place, a hidden gem in the area indeed. I don’t live close to Our recipes cafe but I am darn sure I am driving all the way just to have a quite fancy quality breakfast/brunch!
Cannot recommend more enough, staff are exceptionally friendly and warm, food was very high quality and taste, super reasonable pricing, everything I would look for for a place I would take my close ones!

What a lovely breakfast/lunch spot right here in Arbutus. Family owned and absolutely delicious. I recommend you try everything (especially the croissants)!

Love love love this place! Right up the street from my home, awesome hidden gem. Their cream of crab soup is UNMATCHED!

Food is great! I ordered a Caesar salad w/Salmon, tossed and didn’t even need any extra dressing! As you can see my son ordered a Belgian Waffle. He said it was nice & fluffy and delicious!
