Always fresh and delicious! Haven’t had anything I don’t like. Tacos are always packed full, and the quesadillas are big enough to share. The Al Pastor taco is a favorite, and I tried the shrimp quesadilla as a recommendation and it didn’t disappoint.

This is a great place for tacos and tortas. Sometimes on Fridays they have an enchilada special which is so good. I love their refried beans the most. They have green and red (orange-ish) salsa in squeeze bottles. The people here are kind and it's always friendly. It's not fancy, but it always hits the spot and I'm never disappointed. It's attached to a small grocery and on the side of the plaza, so a bit of diligence to find it.

My first visit, won't be my last. I got a Carnitas torta, and it was Amazing! Their chips are on another level, they were so Good! They don't appear to be open in the evening, other than Fridays. So if you plan to give them a try I suggest you confirm that they are open. My torta was huge, it could easily fill two people. Definitely worth a visit.

Maybe this is a small place but it is fabulous for food. I just took a chance that it'd be good having seen it previously, well the sign that is. It was worth it to me Thank you for the great food and service.

Combination grocery store and informal restaurant. Staff and food are top shelf! Stop in for some tacos or a big tasty torta, then grab some fresh chorizo to take home.

The best tacos I have ever tasted. I particularly liked the shrimp taco. Excellent friendly and quick service - nothing is too much for the El Toluco.

Pass this place all the time and didn't realize what it was as it is hidden in the corner of the plaza. Glad we checked it out!

Small grocery store up front. At first we were confused where to order but the checkout is the same place to order food. We tried 4 tacos and they were very full of meat and toppings. Flavorful and fresh!! Would highly recommend this hidden gem. Will be returning to try out more of the menu!

Fantastic tacos inside this grocery store. I especially love that they bring out 2 different salsas, red and green. Coke in the glass bottles was especially appreciated. Can't wait to go back and try some of their orher offerings.

Authentic Mexican Cuisine
El Toluca Taqureria is a very pleasant surprising restaurant. If looking to get away from fast food assembly line restaurants. This is the place! Large portions with a family atmosphere.

I really enjoyed the tacos I got. I got one pollo con nopales in which the cactus was perfectly cooked, one camarón in which the delicious shrimp were seasoned well, and one lengua with perfectly cooked beef tongue which is hard to do. I also was happy to see some of my grocery favourites like Sangría Señorial, Tapatío, and donas azucaradas.
The prices were fair. I've seen some people say its too expensive but they're really not. Remember, we're in West County, not México. The tacos were also served well and plentiful. Overall, I was very pleased and can't wait to return.

This place has the best torta I have had in a long time. Also, it's huge! I don't think the picture does the size justice. I got the carnitas one. The carnitas was very tasty. This is a simple little place. I imagine the other fare is just as good as the torta.

This place is excellent. Don't let the Obscure location and sparse interior fool you, the food here is excellent. Some of the best street tacos you will find anywhere in the St. Louis area. Very good and very authentic! Try it you will not be disappointed.

The people are super friendly. The tortas I would recommend! They also sell manteca - which were we're from was hard to find, so that's a plus! Their chips are amazing and are great for chilaquiles. They also sell the bread for the tortas too! Service was great. Only gripe that I would have is the day we decided to eat in, the waitress did not inform us of the specials (we were unaware there were any), we overheard her telling another patron - and it sounded good, but we already ordered.

True authentic Mexican food! No frills restaurant but who cares... the food is excellent! Pass on the other "Mexican" food restaurants in the area and go here instead!

I am a fourteen year old boy, who does like Mexican food ,especially tacos. My family and I love the place! The place is kid friendly, and it also has Mexican music. They also have things that aren't on the menu that you can ask for (specials). For example I believe that they moved their tamales off the menu. And on the back of the menu they explain things that aren't very common on their menu. They is also a new thing on the menu which is awesome!!! It's called the pipian (pronounced p-p-n) Ribs in a thick salsa, and it comes with plenty of corn tortillas and beans and rice.

I stopped in to see if they had the giant white corn for making corn nuts with, they didn't but they did have Mexican coke and Sprite and a bunch of other cool drinks. They had candles and other stuff for cooking with like adobo seasoning which is a good seasoning. While I was there I heard 2 different groups of people on the way out say the food was really good to the lady up front. She was really nice and when I showed her a picture she knew what I wanted but didnt have it, no worries. Found a cool coconut water with pulp in it.

Enjoyed some of the best carnitas. Homey and casual. Tried a beer rarely found in other Mexican restaurants. I'll go again 🐵
