Excellent. The room was so well-stocked that we ended up over-prepared with some of the items we brought with. The service was exceptional, and Jeff immediately came back whenever we had issues and resolved them swiftly. The room was perfect, and the scenery was great. We had two dogs, and they were very accommodating to them. This is a true family business, and it shows, which in this day and age is very good to see. I totally recommend it for anyone who may be visiting any events nearby or would like a nice, cozy stay.

My Daughter and I stayed in the twin bed cottage (The Pond #4)on our trip to Bakers Creek Seeds. What a lovely property! Beds we comfy, cottage was cute and cozy, lots of wilderness to hike and a big fire pit for those of us that still want to play outside after dark! Jeff was super cool and accommodating. We like to support small business ran by good humans and this is one of those. We will be back! Thanks Jeff!

My sister had her wedding here and of all the places we checked this one was absolutely perfect for a small to medium sized outdoor wedding. The scenery is beautiful. There is a pond, caves, bon fire pit, covered areas in case of weather, and several cabins for rent for out of state family. The cabins have kitchenettes in them and are newly renovated. They were essential to the bride getting ready, us preparing food on scene, and having nice restrooms available for the guests. The owner is super helpful and was very bit as excited for the newlyweds as the family. It's so nice to have a place where you feel welcomed and accommodated! We rented out the entire place and the kids were free to run and play while the adults could dance and not worry. It's private enough and off the road to where you don't have to worry about random people showing up. It was such a beautiful ceremony and location. I can't thank Jeff ( the owner) enough for making my lil sisters day unforgettable! I will be having my wedding here in the spring!

We had a great time at our cabin for the weekend! It's such a relaxing retreat away from the city. Our dog loved being in the country as much as we did and we were minutes away from town and everything we needed. The property is expansive and beautiful. We spent half of our time exploring and enjoying nature. All of the cabins have large bbq grills and our neighbors were awesome. We had a bonfire and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The cabins are rustic but clean and have everything you need for your time out in the wild. The people we checked in and out with were extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back whenever we're down that way!

My family and I have stayed here 4 times over the past few years and have absolutely loved it every time! The first time we came the redbuds were in full bloom around the pond and it was gorgeous! We have been here in the early fall and summer as well and every time it has been beautiful. The cabins are all cute and well taken care of. We love that they are so cozy and comfy. Our favorite thing to do is make coffee and sit on the porch in the early morning or late evening and listen to the frogs! The family that owns it are all so sweet and helpful. They have given us great dinner recommendations and make us feel at home. Mansfield Woods cabins is our only place that we HAVE to stay at when we make the trip from Colorado to Virginia each year. We also love that it’s dog friendly as we usually have our dog with us. It’s the best!

Great people! During to stay we experienced 5 inches of snow and a power outage. Jeff provided alternate heat and even cleared a path for the 2 wd vehicle we were there in. The power was restored and we chose to stay the remainder of our reservation.

We had such a wonderful time. The cabins are nice and comfortable. The scenery was picturesque with the fall leaves. Being disconnected was two sided, the up side my husband and I were connected, the down side was were unable to find weather, and news. We are planning for our next visit to the cabins and we are planning a longer visit, with a radio. Barb and Kate are wonderful and make you feel like family from your first call. Best time we have had being away from home. Being able to cook our own food, we love grilling and grill at home all year. Can not wait to get back there.

It was our first time staying in a cabin and we loved it! My kids had so much fun! Naomi went above and beyond to make sure it was unforgettable! It was nice getting away with no tv or WiFi. Nice time to reset and relax. The cave is a must see!!! Thank you so much Naomi for a wonderful weekend!

I have never stayed at this place. However I do believe I am going to start planning My fiance and I's weekend getaway really soon.
This place looks so cozy, peaceful and beautiful it will be the perfect place for us to go.
For anyone to say anything nasty about this place, its perfectly clear that you are not from country nor do you know anything about the country side. If you don't like rustic, dark, bugs,or woods this probably isn't the place for you lol
((I was reading some of the nasty reviews on here)) and it made my blood boil.

This place is awesome with a new owner. Really cool place and the cave is a hidden gem which we had a tour of today. If you are going to see the Laura Ingalls Wilder home it’s walking distance across the street. You cannot stay any closer than here.

We stayed at Mansfield Woods cabins during the Laura Ingalls Wilder Days. The cabins are located within walking distance of the Laura Ingalls Wilder Historic Home, which is why we chose to stay at Mansfield Woods. Barb was very prompt and informative in our communications prior to our arrival. She is the most gracious host, making sure everything is perfect for your stay. The rustic cabin is tucked in the woods. It was very cozy and suited our needs perfectly. We really enjoyed sitting out on the deck in the mornings drinking our coffee and at night, unwinding from the day’s activities. The kitchenette is perfect for preparing light meals, and the bedroom area was nice and quiet. We will be coming back to Mansfield periodically, and Mansfield Woods is where we will continue to stay.

Great spot to relax and enjoy some nature. To start there are incredibly freindly staff/owners who will accomodate your needs if they can. The cabin was very clean and had a very home-like feeling. There was a grill and charcoal provided along with a helpful booklet of things to do both on and off the property. It was also very reasonably priced. I have traveled across the United States and have stayed in many different locations and I can say hands down this was one of the best places ive stayed for the price I paid. I cant wait to come back and stay a few more nights!

My Husband and I were in dire need of some downtime. We were in search of peace, quiet, a chance to disconnect with the modern world and simply enjoy some quality time with each other, our dogs and nature. Mansfield Woods proved the perfect escape! The only bad thing, was that are visit was far too short. We explored the paths through the woods and around the property with our boys, and were delighted by the early spring buds. The cabin was simple, but luxurious at the same time. Real coffee cups, organic coffee, a wide assortment of teas, honey's and flavored creamer awaited us. Ice was made and waiting in the freezer. The towels were real towels, not those thin ones that you usually find at a hotel or other type of facility. Thick, the kind you have at home.

Barb, is an amazing hostess. Yes, she's the owner, but her attentiveness to detail makes it feel that you are a guest in her home and not a "nightly fare" in her business. When they say pet friendly, it is not simply something they say. My boys were welcomed and loved on. She took the time to get to actually know them.

It was too windy to enjoy the bonfire, that is already staged. The grounds were a riot of early spring color. Everything was designed to make you comfortable and give you a chance to simply relax and unwind. Over all, for us and our needs it was sheer perfection!

Additionally, Barb served as an unofficial tour guide for us. Giving us directions to the Laura Ingalls Wilder homes and Pioneer Village/Baker Creek Seeds. Luckily both of these were things that we intentionally wanted to see and were very close. She even gave us directions when we got lost looking for the little Amish restaurant.

Anyone that is looking for a wonderful place to unplug and reconnect with life, this is definitely the place to do it. If you are in search of wifi, television, computer access, a spa or fitness center with machines... don't. It's not for you! Her prices are incredible, and very comparable to any other hotel or room in the area... and it's simply so much more! We will be back!

Nice simple cabins. They are fairly small and kind of close together, the interior hasn't been updated in about 20 years, there is no wifi and no cell reception. However, they are very cozy and it was a great place to get away and disconnect for a long weekend.

Nothing like a cabin in the woods, very quite and relaxing! Beautiful year round! The owner and her sister are not just great business women but they are family! Definitely a great place to stay in Mansfield!

My wife and I wanted to visit the Laura Ingalls Wilder home, and booked a couple nights at one of the Mansfield Woods cabins for our trip. Mansfield Woods is right across the highway from the Ingalls Wilder Rocky Ridge complex, and only a few minutes away from stores & restaurants in Mansfield.

The Mansfield Woods RV/Cabin/Camping complex is obviously an older park that used to get more traffic. But... don't let aged wood and well worn facilities fool you. This is a wonderful place to stay! The cabins are clean and very well kept, and include a host of amenities that any literary buff interested in the Ingalls Wilder property would appreciate: cabins are stocked with organic coffee and a wide variety of very interesting teas. They even give you matchlight charcoal for the grills on the cabin decks!

The full area tour: The main Ingalls Wilder museum, residence & grounds, the Rock House, the Mansfield cemetary, the Pioneer Village & Heirloom Seed company, along with the used bookstore and library in town, is more or less a full day of activities. Everything can be done at your own pace except the main house tour, which is guided.

For those less fascinated by the history of the Little House on the Prairie book series, there's also a really interesting cave to explore on the property of Mansfield Woods. It's a wet cave (you'll be up to your knees in water at times), 1.8 miles long. There's also a fishing pond or two (one of the fishing ponds was being repaired while we were there). I can confirm the pond closer to the admin office is lousy with largemouth bass. I caught 5 of them from 11-14 inches in about an hour! There's also a couple really big stands of blackberry canes up a couple trails nearby, if you're there at the right time of year. Just watch out for the poison ivy!

IF you're interested in a trip to the Laura Ingalls Wilder home in Mansfield MO, Mansfield Woods is hands down the best place to stay for an overnight. Great amenities, very friendly hosts. Thank you all for a wonderful time!

Proprietor called in advance to find out what our needs were. Comfortable cabins in a peaceful setting. Turned us on to a great used bookstore in town. I really liked the variety of teas they provided. That was an unexpected touch.

Barb had everything prepared for us, the cabin is clean and we did not have to shop in town for household supplies. The ground are beautiful. We loved it and are planning on coming back!
