Holiday Inn Express Pembroke, an IHG Hotel

I can't even begin to describe how fantastic an experience I had at this hotel. First, the room was absolutely clean, neat, and comfortable. Second, the breakfast was certainly above average for breakfast I would eat at hotels across the country. They had good breakfast sausage, nice hash brown potatoes that were actually cooked, and lots of other great things that you would appreciate. Finally, the front desk staff was amazing. I asked for a couple of things like a laundry bag and to borrow their stapler. Although these things sound simple, they went out of their way to take care of me. On my way out the door, they even offered me a bottle of water for my trip. As someone who has become accustomed to marginal experiences in hotels following the pandemic, these folks are operating at the top of their game.

James at front desk here was so nice and helpful!! Up in nc for husband's job and had to switch hotels while he was working! James allowed me to check in without husband being here an a hour early!! Great breakfast, new rooms, comfy beds and nice area for my furbaby to run around outside! Other staff is very helpful and friendly!!

The manager (didn’t get the man’s name) could not have been any more helpful. Very friendly and went out of his way to help us A pleasure to stay there 😀. No charge for my 6 pound yorkie. I would definitely stay there again.

Great place to stay if you come to town to visit family or your children at school. They have a full breakfast in the morning, which is very good.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It is newly rennovated, the rooms were clean and nice. Parking was well lit and the location felt safe. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful, shout out to the girl at the front desk with the blue gloves, she was an absolute delight and I felt like I was welcomed by friends. Would definitely stay here again. First class experience.

I travel with work and frequently stay at Holiday Inn Express. This one, by far, is the best. Staff is courteous and helpful. Rooms are clean. Mattresses are comfortable. Breakfast above your normal HIE because of the southern touch.

Was sent here by Cliff from Hampton. Hampton was full and appreciate his honesty to sent us some where that fit our needs. The night man at the Hampton desk was very helpful and I told him do not change his attitude towards his work. Good deal and thanks to both.

What a wonderful hotel, it started off with jazz making my reservation and everything was perfect as I had hoped. I came down my first morning and spoke with the wonderful breakfast lady watched how hard she worked and all their selection of food is just unbelievable. During this pandemic most hotels are and a very minimum or a bag breakfast. This hotel has got everything just about you can think of. And as I have thought in the past if you don’t like it go to a restaurant. This is free you weren’t paying for it it’s not hidden in your bill. My room was wonderful my sheets were spotless and I love the idea of the refillable bottles of white cans product in the bathroom. So many people want to complain about the landfill and Holiday Inn express is the only ones doing something about it. Thank you for taking care of our planet. Every Little step helps. I spoke with the breakfast girl only to find out they have four others lined up so someone will always be in place to be serving breakfast. The reason why I throw this out there is I do breakfast at a hotel and it was very difficult for me to get the week off for my vacation because we had no one and my boss didn’t seem like he was really trying to find anyone. Anyway whether you need a place for one night or one week you can’t go wrong here. If I could give it more than five stars I would. Great job everyone.

It was really difficult to find a decent hotel in the area so I was skeptical to stay here however, the staff was so friendly and the room was incredibly clean. The pet fee was only $20. I would absolutely stay again.

Great facilities and staff. My stay was predicated by some mechanical issues while traveling. The staff went above and beyond to assist me in finding someone local to repair my transmission and then assisting me with my transportation needs. The Breakfast options were phenomenal and actual food was delicious. A+++

This is edited review 2023 Was going to make a reservation again for this year but they have drastically went up on their prices!!! You can rent a whole nice house cheaper in Pembroke AirBandB than here. Prices are way to high!

The young lady at front desk Jazz was very nice and delightful. This hotel should be a 4 star hotel. Nothing bad about it at all. Plenty of room to park larger vehicles. Excellent hot breakfast. Washer and dryer. I will definitely be back to this place.

Our stay was perfect. Met the manager outside upon arrival and was super impressed with his attitude. He was friendly, helpful, and such a gentleman. Fantastic room clean quiet. Will stay there every trip from MD to FL.

On our way to Oak Island for our annual family vacation, we decided to stay here since it's close and will be a shorter drive to our beach rental. We've stayed at a lot of hotels, since my husband travels a lot for work and this is by far the cleanest we have ever seen, that's not just based on one room, because we have 3! Breakfast was fresh & hot, and a great selection. Hotel staff is
friendly & absolutely wonderful! Overall experience was awesome. We will definitely stay again!

Had a very pleasant stay here. Very clean place with a nice pool outside, recommendable breakfast included and friendly and helpful staff.

Great place to stay. I was visiting a friend at UNC Pembroke and this was by far the most convenient hotel in the area. It's not quite close enough to walk to campus, but the drive is minimal. The accommodations were nice and the staff was friendly. The breakfast during COVID is quite lacking, especially for anyone on a low-carb diet, but there are a handful of other dining options around. If you get a room facing west, the views of the sunset are perfect! Wi-fi speed wasn't the best but with Ethernet hookups still available in the room, that did the trick. Although there are cheaper places to stay a little farther away, the price was worth the convenience in my opinion. I will stay here again!

Terrific as always. Pet friendly as well. Additionally the breakfast at this place is awesome. Not the usual fare but cheese egg omelets, French toast, bacon/sausage, Greaaaaaat coffee!!, just terrific. The best most comfortable beds of anyplace I've stayed. Room is spacious but not too large and you have a real thermostat versus window unit type systems. Just a great place. Highly recommend!!
