After receiving less-than-satisfactory care with my previous OB, I transferred care here at 33 weeks. Had my first appointment here today and instead of leaving upset, nervous, and on edge, I left feeling pretty positive about my pregnancy. Very polite staff at the desk & when being brought to my room for vitals. Also felt comfortable & at ease with Theresa. Check in/check out was simple & the overall atmosphere was calm. I should’ve transferred sooner.

Update: Dr. Byrd and Megan were amazing when I was being induced last week. I ended up needing a c-section and I was well taken care of. Very happy to be holding my sweet boy.

I've gone to this office for several years. Recently, I had my first child. The pre-natal care that I received was top notch. Every doctor and midwife was personable and answered all of my questions. I never had any trouble getting in touch with a nurse via phone whenever I had questions outside of my appointments. The office staff is great too. They really made my husband and I feel heard and confident. Midwife, M. Jaynes, delivered our little girl in November. We've shared our story and blessing with so many people. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. She was phenomenal and really took care of us. This is more than just a doctor's office, they treat you like family. 10/10 recommend.

I’ve had 2 out of 3 of my kids here . The staff are beyond helpful , they all are nice, caring, and have good personalities.
Dr.Kristian Stillie, Dr.Huff, and Megan Jaynes are the best !!!
Everyone is professional and prompt.
I would definitely recommend Hugh Chatham Women’s Center .

Dr. Stille and Megan Jaynes delivered my Son. I was nervous and beyond scared for my upcoming c-section. As soon as these two ladies entered the operating room I felt safe and knew the baby and I were in good hands. Not just anyone can make someone feel comfortable and safe from all the fears you experience during childbirth; however, these two did just that !!!

I have went here for both of my pregnancies and would absolutely recommend them to anyone. They really put the patient first and listen to all of your concerns. It’s hard to find a place that really cares about you personally.

Transferred here from a birth center I was not happy with. My first appointment everyone was kind and talked to me like a real person rather than reading off a script which unfortunately was my experience at the birth center I went to. I really like the midwife I spoke to and feel comfortable with these women bringing my son into the world. My questions and concerns were all addressed and I felt comfortable advocating for myself and requesting the type of unmediated birth with minimal procedures I would like as long as there are no complications obviously.

I recommend this place and will update once my baby is born. 👶

Edit: I had to have an emergency C section. Dr. Beverly Byrd performed it after being called in out of bed late at night. She saved my son’s life. It wasn’t the ideal, all natural birth I had dreamed about but I got the perfect baby and honestly the surgery wasn’t as scary as I had imagined it. I am very thankful for the wonderful women who work at this practice including Sibella and Kristy and Theresea Tharpe and the wonderful nurses and friendly ladies at the desk. I recommend mommas go here to have your babies since they care a lot and go above and beyond.

I just became a patient at this practice and I highly recommend it. I seen Dr. Spencer and she is great. She sat and listened to everything I had to say and didn't make me feel rushed. She made me feel very comfortable talking to her. Also the other office staff members were friendly and helpful. The only downfall was the wait time to be seen. I did have to wait about 45mins before I was placed in a room to see the Dr. But, again I would highly recommend this practice to anyone seeking an OB/GYN physician.

It’s okay. Some of the stuff are rude. I called 15 minutes before they closed and they already left. I’m switching obgyns because of the distance to my house. It’s not the worse but definitely there is better out there. The staff never worked with my schedule. And a lot of the times they just said I’m sorry there’s nothing we can do. They were rude many times. They need to consider that some of us are first time moms and have no idea what is normal and what isn’t. I felt like my opinion really didn’t matter.

The black female Dr cauterized my tubes during surgery against my will in 2017. We both signed signatures on a filshie clip surgery. I woke up with clipped, burned and severed tubes taken out. Clear case of malpractice. I also was told by the dr she didnt have to do it but she felt she was doing me a favor(her exact words).Spoke to a few lawyers they agreed. 6 years later, I am still suffering emotionally and physically behind the negligence of this office and hospital that was used. You have ruined my life.

I feel compelled to write this review because I feel like the safety of moms and babies are being compromised by this doctor’s office! I started going to Hugh Chatham women’s center in 2020 for my first pregnancy and had a wonderful experience. Delivered at the hospital down the street so when I was expecting my 2nd child I felt safe and confident that I could trust this doctors office again. To my surprise the professionalism of this office has significantly gone downhill since 2021.I should of went elsewhere because when I was tested for group b strep at 37 weeks it was negative. I was positive for that during my 1st pregnancy. I felt like something was off because I was having the symptoms of having group b strep for a while and spoke to that and was basically brushed off by Shannon Huff. To make a long story short I basically delivered my baby WITHOUT ANTIBIOTICS AND WAS ACTUALLY POSITIVE FOR GROUP B STREP!!!!!! I had a culture done on an infected ingrown hair done the day before I delivered and it was positive for group b step but they did NOT INFORM ME UNTILL AFTER THE FACT!!!!!!!! Something horrible could of happened and thank god my baby is safe, but what else are they messing up on? I was informed by Jona Lamphier and Teresa Tharpe that they’ve noticed a lot of women’s group b strep tests are coming back negative and realistically 30% of women have it and they thought something was odd and that they are looking into the lab at the hospital. So there is CLEARLY A PROBLEM!!! I would tell all women to stay clear of this place and I feel sick to my stomach knowing that they basically put me and my child in harms way! I will never be back!!! This place needs to be investigated.
