Little Richards Smokehouse BBQ

I really liked Little Richards BBQ sauce. And the onion rings were really good. I tried the brisket and next time I'll try the chicken. The service was excellent and the food was ready quickly. For a small town, it was great. It's easy to access right off the I421 and I'll stop here again next time I come through Yadkinville.

You can smell delicious smoked goods as soon as you step out of the vehicle! Where it is located conviently next to a large parking lot with plenty of space, so there is no issues there.

When I first entered the smokehouse I was greeted warmly by staff and given time to look over the menu. They have a lot of varities of options including steaks, seafood, sandwiches (including burgers) and great soul food. Smoked sausages, chicken, potato salad, different bean options, fried ocra....etc.

So I got a plate with a pound of BBQ, potato salad, hush puppies, fried ocra. All of it was delicious and also seemed more fresh than alot of places I've been to. The fried ocra had the best consistency of any ocra I have ever ate. The BBQ was consistent and perfectly mixed smoked flavors. The hush puppies were very crisp but enough fluff in the middle to give it a crunchy and slight chewy texture.

Did I mention they also bottle and sell their own sauce? It is delicious on its own and almost seeks to cater to everyone's palette! Personally I say this not as a negative but positive. I wish it would have had more vinegar but I will not complain. Portions left me very content.

We were visited by staff every so often to refill drinks and the atmosphere seems to say different things, much like their food. Rock and different music plays over the speakers with sports on TV. Pictures of all types and license plates shield walls. It is really fun to look around check it out.

Overall, the joint might be small but the food is fantastic and made right in a way that makes you wonder if Mom is in the kitchen.

Talk about judging a book by its cover. We were very shocked! It doesn't look like much from the outside but what a surprise when you walk through the door. If you love bar-b-que you're going to love this spot! We hit the place at the perfect time. At 11:30am the place was pretty much empty but at around noon the lunch crowd started pouring in and I mean pouring! By the time we left there wasn't an open seat in the house and for good reason. The food, the service, and the atmosphere were all great. The meals were priced right for the quality and quantity. Ya gotta try the baked beans. The peppers gave them a unique taste. They were absolutely delicious. The brisket was, dare I say, cooked perfectly. It was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. Your taste buds are in for a real treat. Their home made potato chips would be a great stand alone snack but when combined with a plate full of deliciousness, they tasted a bit bland. Just a splash of salt helped. Overall our lunch was way better than what we had expected!!! If you're in the area don't miss out on this little gem. We will be back for sure.

Awesome atmosphere and incredible food make stopping in a treat. Portion sizes are so large you will likely need a to-go box. The BBQ and brisket is amazing!

Great barbecue and very friendly and attentive service. Went to the Yadkinville location. Will definitely be back. Had the 3 meat plate with pork, sausage, and brisket and the pork and brisket sandwhich. Had more than enough food with some to go!! Highly recommend !!!!

It's been four years since we were in the area of Yadkinville and ate at Little Richards. It's nice to see not many changes. We had their rib special with two sides. Omg the ribs and okra was delicious. Service was great. Highly recommend.

RUN TO THIS PLACE AND GET YOURSELF A PLATE OF THEIR LEXINGTON STYLE BARBECUE AND SIDES & ALSO AN EXTRA HUGE CONTAINER OF JUST THE BARBECUE TO HAVE LATER ON!!!

This honestly is the best food I've eaten in a long time! The vinegar based barbecue is my absolute favorite barbecue and their's is perfect! Great flavor, nice and tender & extremely juicy!
Don't even get me started on their sides either because they're just as wonderful as the barbecue!! I got more than is pictured here, but I must tell you how great the fried okra, baked macaroni and cheese and the corn nuggets are!! It's all so so good. The okra was fried perfectly. The Mac and cheese had the most perfect top layer on it, the corn nuggets were soft, sweet and the most perfect thing I have ever eaten honestly. I just loved them. Even my perfect banana pudding cured all my cravings for something sweet. My husband & mother-in-law also ate the slaw, rolls, greens, green beans, onion rings and baked beans. They said everything was great too!
It truly was the best meal I had ate in forever. I was wanting to go here for over a year, but since I live so far away and because they're so so expensive, I can't get there often.
I highly recommend stopping by here if you get the chance. I know that if I get the money to go again, I'll eat there every chance I get!

Was passing through and not an u glad we stopped here. What a great surprise. The brisket was PERFECT. Who ever thought to warm up the vinegar sauce deserves a raise.

Little Richard's is great, for the price that you have to pay it and what they offer it is more than fair. The portions are huge and more often than not I end up saving food. Try the spudzilla potato which is their potato with your choice of any meat I mostly do chopped barbecue or brisket it comes with a hickory sauce standard but they let you pick any sauce you want or additional sauces which I find very accommodating. Especially in a time where everything is an extra charge. They have never and I repeat never (because this is very rare to find in the restaurant business) have got my order wrong or had something missing for my to go bag. Way to go Little Richard's! The service is impeccable for takeout. Always tip these people are working so hard.

The BEST RIBS I've ever had period. Food was fantastic, our server Tailynn went above and beyond in serving. You gotta get some of these ribs!!

I wish I had eaten here more when I lived in NC! Wide selection of options that are reasonably priced. Service was spot on - such friendly staff!

This was great! The BBQ was so good and so were the nachos. I had the Cow-pig Showdown sandwich. It was slow cooked brisket and pulled pork on an excellent bun. The bun really makes the sandwich.

I really recommend this place for a quick meal. It's right off of Highway 421 on 601. I will be back for sure.

Out in the area today we looked for a place to grab something to eat, Little Richard’s came up on my recommendations. Upon arrival we were surprised with the ambiance, we seated ourselves-per the sign and we’re quickly greeted by staff and brought our drinks very quickly, we ordered the brisket taco, smoked wings with collard greens and fried okra, both great side options. We were delighted with how quickly the food came out and how delicious everything was, collard greens were the best I have tasted. We can wait to go back!

A delicious lunch... but after a redneck brisket cheese steak and a smoked chicken sammich... the brisket tacos WON! Yum! 😋

I had a barbecue sandwich with fries and a soft drink. The food was very good and so was the service. Our waitress was friendly and attentive.

The spudzilla is the best. I had it with the brisket and added the bbq sauce to it. It was definitely a two meal potato for me. We love this place. My husband had it with the smoked chicken, mouthwatering as well. You can't go wrong with LR!

I used to print the menus for Little Richard's. Nick was the best...his Barbeque is still the best. Love the tots with his vinegar sauce.

Had ribs, they are always amazing there. Texture and flavor. Banana pudding was awesome too.
