They have extremely friendly customer service and a great selection of movies and books, along with an excellent store credit system. Dave's Used Book Store is overall a wonderful business with very good prices and very kind people. Definitely a one of a kind place in Greenville.

Great place with good deals. Best way is to get credit for books you bring in, then trade for your choice of books or ongoing credit for another visit. One of my (& *others’) favorite places. *Generally a line waiting for opening! David & his mother are famtastic!

I recently ordered a magazine from here and I am absolutely thrilled. The magazine highlights an Ancestor of mine and I could not be happier with the quality, and condition this product came in. I am thrilled. Thank you very much from Massachusetts!

Finally visited this store today. What a gem. It's nice to have a big box store like Barnes and Nobles but nothing beats the good ole used bookstore (You've Got Mail, anyone?). Great selection. I can see how this can be a place to frequent as i'm sure inventory changes often. Great kids section. I was able to find my old childhood encyclopedia.

BTW why are people leaving less than 5 stars. If you are, please explain why. Small businesses thrive from reviews. Stop being inconsiderate. *off soap box

Little used book and records store with rows of shelves. So many items to choose from. Kids books are paperback for one dollar and hard back for two dollars.

I can always find something new here. Prices are great, trade in credit is good. I love hardbacks and you can get them cheap. Lots of categories, in stock. Movies on VHS, DVD, Blu-Ray. Separate record store downtown now. Staff is really kind and helpful. They make you almost feel like family.

Great selection for books and more. Their vinyl selection is great and the owner is incredibly knowledgeable on the topic of music. Glad to see that a little shop is competing with the big dogs (looking at you Barnes and Noble!)

My friend Erin has been spending a lot of time here lately and buzzing about how wonderful the shop is. As I walked in, I was warmly greeted by the guy behind the counter and I immediately knew I was going to be spending a lot of time here. It should be illegal to have someone that hot with a voice to match working retail! I would literally buy out the store just to hear him talk into my ears.

I love coming here! The staff is very kind and helpful, the shop's atmosphere is so lovely, and they have an endless amount of books (and a very good selection of records too!).

David's has a wide selection of genres and many many books to choose from. My first time there I walked around for two whole hours without noticing just lost in the stacks. This was a great accomplishment for myself because since 2020 my social anxiety has been sky high. At David's though I was completely calm, peaceful even. A nice quiet place to be for an introverted book lover. The prices are great too. I got five paper backs for under six dollars. Definitely a win. I'll be back for sure.

THE place to go for vinyl old and new, and used books too. Huge selection and great prices. Everyone that works here is great! And if you are looking for something specific in the vinyl dept, speak to Jeff and he will do his best to get you squared away. 10/10

While this is not a bookstore that will likely have lots of copies of the latest bestsellers (if any!) they do a large selection of many different types of books. As a prolific reader, I enjoy browsing and finding books I've been meaning to read. It's like a treasure hunt. 😃 And as someone who likes to spend money wisely, I enjoy reading a hardback for $2. The books are always in good condition. If you haven't been there, give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

I finally had some free time to wander through the store without children. A lot of Used Book stores can be very dark, but this wasn't the case at Dave's. I heard the staff helping others and we're very friendly. As far as prices, you can't beat $1/paperbacks and $2/hardbacks! The store is definitely worth a visit.
