Another fantastic event at GMoA!!
They are always adding more art, curating cool events, and providing a positive space to grow our community.

The most recent fundraising event was the GMoArcade. A 21+ event (they had a family-friendly version early in the day) with wine, beer, food, video/board games. My favorite was playing guitar hero and smash bros with a few random people, like the old arcade days. It was a ton of fun and only cost a $25 donation.

We pre-purchased tickets and arrived early as their events usually sell out, and it can be hard to find parking.

OMG this past weekend we decided to add this to our weekend Halloween festivities. Oddly enough as an artist myself, I jabe not taken time to check out the local art museum since moving back to my hometown March of 2021. Rest assured we will be getting a membership and this will be a regular activity or destination for us going forward. The staff was as friendly as anyone could wish for. The art was absolutely breathtaking. I am so excited we decided to go to this event! Winning!

Such a delightful visit! The feel of the museum is amazing. I'm sure it's a historic building, which makes the exhibits that much more enjoyable!

Nice museum with a varied collection that includes Jugtown pottery, African masks, and driftwood art, as well as contemporary art.

I attended arcade night. It wasn't what I expected, but it was nice.

I LOVE that there is someplace in Greenville that allows me to enjoy and contemplate the ideas and imagination of artists. This museum also exhibits in a way that can pique my interest and delve in further to specific genres, like printmaking (INSERT SHOW NAME HERE), or specific global issues like plastics (INSERT SHOW NAME HERE), or social issues like inclusion of all in "Growing up Queer in the South". My kids also love going to their fun family events, which seem to be getting bigger and better each year! Keep up the great work!

The GMoA has an amazing summer art camp, and my daughter had a great week there. The instructors are the real deal. They have both experience and education and love what they do.

Absolutely delightful. I loved the entire museum. It was especially nice to see African-American culture and mental illness on display. It takes about an hour to get through the building. Very classy. ❤

A gem of a find. Some gallery spaces in a historic home, and much more in a large wing with two modern galleries and communal spaces. In addition to a wide-reaching permanent collection, I loved the sections with an Eastern North Carolina roots focus. There was a wonderful permanent display of the Jugtown Pottery and, when I was there, some of the soulful Burk Uzzle photographs. There was and is a flourishing art scene in this region. A very worthwhile visit.

A very nice local Museum. Quiet and not too crowded. We really enjoyed and appreciated the exhibits and even the architecture of the building itself.

This small museum does a great job of mixing local programming that serves the community such as regionally relevant exhibitions and classes with national caliber shows. It's a nationally accredited art museum.
