I would like to give thanks to W.E Flanagan Funeral Home as they had taken care of 3 of my family members this year as they had taken their wings. Ms. Esther and staff made these transition very smooth. As hard as this time has been on my family, you walked us through the process and was very patient with us. My dad was driven to you from New York and you made sure that he was well take care of so that we could see him laid to rest in peace. The service was short and sweet as we had already been through a long serve. We want to say thank you for all you did.

To me Flanagan is one of the top rating funeral homes in Pitt County! They are very sincere and concern with the families they serve. In 1998 my father passed and in 2017 my mother passed, both times the quality & care that was provided was nothing less than excellence! Ms. Esther & her staff was there for me, and truly helped me in my time of need & grief. My family has been using Flanagan Funeral Home for generations.

My parents passed away 3 days apart and because of this we did a double ceremony for them. Because of all the emotions and Covid this was a very unique situation. We were told to reach out to Flanagan’s and they made this situation stress free and laid my parents down to rest like the king and queen they were. Ester the funeral director was amazing kind, and patient. Her staff was professional and did a perfect job! Everyone was talking about how beautiful everything was. She told me to trust her and I did just that.

The Flanagan staff were very helpful and true professionals. They absolutely made the grieving of my Mom easier because of how helpful they were, I appreciate you so much Ms. Esther for all you did. You and your team are phenomenal!

I would like to thank Flanagan funeral home for the awesome work they did doing the celebration of life of my brother. I live in Maryland. My mom lived with me before her death. Her desire before her passing was to be buried in her hometown Greenville, North Carolina. While mom was in hospice I telephoned W.E. Flanagan Memorial Funeral home and spoke with Esther Hammond. Esther walked me through the process as to what she would do, emailed me a price list and was readily available to answer any questions I had.

On the day of my mother's death, Ms. Hammond had her contact person pick mom up and drove her to NC. This saved me almost $7500 because if a funeral home in MD had picked mom up, I would have to pay a processing fee for the handling of her remains, the price of an airline ticket, a shipping container, and etc.

Ms. Hammond and her staff provided a personal and loving service when handling mom. She was personable and loving to me and my family, She became like a member of our family.

The service she provided was very professional from the printing of the obituaries, recording of the death for certificates and even providing thank you notes with the envelopes for my after event mailings. Ms. Hammond made a difficult, horrible and stressful time in my and my family's life easier to get through. She was on time for every event scheduled.

Even though the services I contracted Ms. Hammond for has been fulfilled, she is still actively involved in helping us resolve issues my family uncovered regarding remains that was buried over 60 years ago.
