Stopped by this little spot for a meal on the way back to VA. Great spot for home cooked soul food. Had the turkey wings, Mac n cheese and string beans. Hubby had the oxtail with seafood Mac and string beans. Kids had chicken tenders and fries. Cornbread is on spot.

Visited on the Saturday after the reopening and was very glad to see the new dining lounge area. Food has been always been top tier, and the staff was friendly, attentive and upbeat. Highly recommend and can't wait to visit again.

Let me tell y’all something I normally don’t do reviews or brag on places but Look at Dat Der Soul Food & Social House done did something! Best soul food I’ve tasted around here. I’m talking no box cornbread, no canned collards or yams. Everything tasted like my grandma made it. Definitely coming back 10/10. Not to mention the staff makes you feel welcomed, like you talking to your cousin you ain’t seen in a while, a whole family reunion! My soul is happy 😊

Don’t plan on eating here. Take it to go. There ain’t much to explore in Greenville but glad I stumbled across this place. It may not look like much but this converted home cooks the staples like grandpa would. Large portions for cheap. We ordered just about everything on the menu for great takeout, fed 9 of us, and had plenty of leftovers. The only bummer was they didn’t have ribs that day. The menu rotates daily and they cook til they run out of food.

Definitely worth going here. On our finale barbecue adventure. This was one of the last places we went and they did not disappoint. The staff was really friendly and the food was amazing! Will definitely be back next time. I’m in Greenville.

I really enjoyed the seafood Mac & Cheese! I paid $5 for a side. A lil pricey but was worth it. It was so good I didn't even get a chance to take a pic. The fish, mac & cheese, and yams were good. I will definitely return to try that butter pecan cake!

Being here a little over a year, this is the first soul food restaurant that satisfied my taste. Nestled in a residential neighborhood, it’s like a cute little kept secret for those who know, know. 😆 When I first walked in, I knew I was in a restaurant, but it felt like I was visiting family and picking up a plate of dinner and the customer service was welcoming and sweet. ☺ I’m so happy to have found them.

At the first sip of sweet tea I knew this was gonna be good but WoW! Imagine if everybody at the family cookout only brought what they were known for, the best of every side, and then some fall off the bone baked chicken that's impossible to put down once you take a bite. How long did y'all cook that?! It's so flavorful and juicy! Even the rice under the chicken was delicious, the perfect sauce pillow to make sure that taste wasn't wasted to the container. Two of the cakes were gifts but that strawberry shortcake is already missing a big corner. I'm stuffed and barely ate half my food! I'll definitely be back
