Great farm/zoo!! Took our 7 year old grandson and he had a blast. The animals are NOT mistreated or abused at all!! We got to feed many animals. It took about 2 1/2 hours to go thru the entire zoo. Well worth the $12 adult admission price.

Beautiful zoo. You get the opportunity to pet so many more types of animals than a standard zoo or petting farm. The bears exhibit was sadly small but all of the other exhibits were large and the animals looked very happy! Feed is cheap and well worth it.

Better than we expected. Loved the peacocks. We didn't get to see the kangaroo or alligator. But it was definitely a great visit. Be prepared to walk and it's alot of roots and uneven terrain so wear comfortable shoes. Staff was extremely friendly. Will definitely recommend to others and would visit again during next trip.

My wife and I had a lot of fun here. Food bags were a decent price. There was a crapload full of turtles that we fed in a lake. There was over 100 I'm not over exaggerating. I like that the deer was free roaming around. One got very close to us and we gave it food. I loved seeing a bear up close. Bigger cages are needed yes but I really loved this place.

Love this place! We come here everytime we come to visit Myrtle Beach! It has easy paths to follow and the animals are all personable. Its family friendly too! And the terrain is natural. The animals all have enough room to roam as well. We love this zoo and can't wait to see these animals again on our next visit!

This place was amazing! Our family of 9 went yesterday on 6/3 and the animals were very happy, healthy and taken care of. The staff were very very friendly. It's a very inexpensive entry fee and the grounds are beautiful! I have no idea why people are reviewing this place with less than 5 stars.

This is a fun little excursion if you're visiting the beach and want to take a break from mini-golf.

The place is a little rough but there are plenty of animals to interact with. You can buy a bag of food for $4 to feed the animals.

This is not a big city zoo. A bit rustic and unpaved. But the staff is super friendly and they seem to really care about the animals.

Worth a trip if you're looking to do something different.

Had a great time. Sone of the animals appeared to be in cages that were to small but they passed federal inspection. The place could use some more TLC but all in all nice visit. Yes I would recommend

Bottom line up front: Considering the price and overall experience I would rate this a 4.5 stars. Knowing you can't rate a 4.5 start I asked my three kids (11, 9, and 6) what I should rate this zoo and they all said 10 stars!

If you are looking for a high price zoo (like the Baltimore or National zoo in DC) that only accept and show health animals and have very limited animal interaction or if you are looking for highly funded rescue animal missions like in Buffalo NY then you might not enjoy this zoo. If you are looking for a cheap zoo to have a good time at, want lots of animal interaction without all of the crowds then this is the place for you!

Honest review: I consider all things when doing a review and I take reviews very seriously. When looking at the reviews of this zoo I had my concerns but I am so glad we decided to try this zoo out.

Price: The zoo is half the price of other zoos in the area. It is a great value for what you get! Not only is the admission very reasonable but the feed for the animals, drinks, and wagon rentals are all very reasonable.

Feeding the animals: Nearly all the animals can be fed. I am personally surprised how many reviews had negative reviews and wrong information regarding the feeding. The truth is we bought two large bags of feed for the 9 of us. My kids had a blast, I had a great time and my father loved feeding all the animals. The two large bags were gone at the end of our time at the zoo. The only animals you can't feed were the animal that are carnivorous (won't eat the feed), the ones on special diets (very few animals), and the animals that WILL bite you (yes you can still feed them but just not hand feed them). Yes, all animals bite (imagine that!) so there are some signs that say feed with caution as animals MAY bite. I personally fed all the animals with those signs and was not bitten once. The kids fed them with adult supervision with no issues. The animals are well used to people feeding them.

Variety: One review I saw said most of the animals (80 percent) were goats. Completely wrong. Yes there was lots of goats in lots of the areas but not even close to 80 percent. Even if someone said 40 percent were goats I would be surprised. There are a ton of animals and reptiles. We saw fish, turtles, tons of birds, lizards, snakes, monkeys/apes, cattle, foxes, goats, water buffalo, bears, and more!

Walking trails: All the trails were very fun to walk. There are three well maintained trails. We had 9 people and baby in a stroller. Even the older adults had no issues walking the level and cleared pathways. The stroller had NO issues and could go everywhere.

Condition of animals: You have to keep in mine the owners accept all animals and most of the animals are older or have been injuries at one point in time. I am not an expert (as many people are trying to be) but I didn't see any animals being mistreated. We did see some older animals but you can't fix old. If an animal is old what are you going to do with them? The owners have decided to keep them and take care of them. The only real issues I saw was the bear cage was a little small but they did have a large play area they were not using.

Condition of cages: Not as clean and well kept as a hugely funded zoos. The cages could be cleaner or some repairs could be beneficial but it is not as bad as some people are making it out to be. The cages are not bad enough to actually be of any harm to the animals, it's just not as pleasant to the eyes as a new cage.

Overall I would recommend to anyone.

Ive been coming here since I was a child, now i get to visit with my children. You really can't beat it for the price. It's very well shaded. Huge location. There is so much to see. The animals really show you their personalities. If you go, say hey to Clyde the Camel for me..

This is truly a hidden gem. Animals were very excited to see us. We arrived early to beat the heat and made it through in just over two hours. Animals were happy and healthy. Love this place. Quaint and lovely. The free roaming peacocks were my favorite

I don't know why people give thus zoo less than 5 stars. It's a family run zoo/sanctuary and their admission is not very expensive. It's a very nice little zoo. Great for a family day. Lots of animals to see and feed.

Our favorite zoo to visit whenever we are in Myrtle Beach. It's not your normal zoo, but it is well maintained & the animals show how much they are loved.

LOVE this little/big zoo, definitely one of the best kept secrets in Myrtle Beach. I cannot wait to take my family next time they come down to visit. It's like a GINORMOUS petting zoo, it was a TON of fun. I highly recommend to everyone.

I don't understand why anyone would give this zoo less than 5 stars. Its inexpensive and a wonderful zoo to take your whole family. It doesn't have paved waking paths (they are sand and dirt paths) but there's lots of shade and lots of animals. There's everything from chickens to tigers. The cages are clean and the animals seem happy and healthy. I totally recommend this zoo!!!

A lot bigger than what I thought it would be. Great for a beautiful stroll and visit with with the family to see some different animals... Word to the wise, don't forget your baby stroller like I did....!

Must-see stop when in Myrtle Beach! This is our third time visiting. Be sure to get the cups/bags of food to interact more with the animals. :-)

This zoo was cool. The price for the admission was reasonable . The kids enjoyed using the feed that was provided to feed the animals. My son gained a good bit of knowledge about the various animals. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who is in Myrtle Beach . It's a lot of fun for the family
