Love this place. I took my 11 y/o son here for a haircut. Beth did an amazing job . The atmosphere and vibe was great, along with 70s music . Freaking awesome and this is where I'll continue to take my son Kudos to Scouts!!

For me, you have to be able to do a solid fade and that’s exactly what my stylist, Care, provides. Very efficient and relaxing conversation to kick. Will see you again in 3-4 weeks 🙌🏼

I’ve been getting my haircut with Lola for the last 3 years and I couldn’t recommend someone better! She’s great at what she does, has a creative eye, and is fun and bubbly every time I see her. I’ve never had a bad haircut or experience! Thank you Lola!

I see Lola on a regular basis, every 3-4 weeks. She gives a great haircut, and is very personable and fun to talk to. With their appointment system, I get in and out in 20-30 minutes each time, and enjoy a beer on the house too! Highly recommended.

I've been taking my 3 and 5 year old to Lola for over a year after she first started repairing my 3 year old daughter's terrible Great Clips haircut. She's been so helpful as we tried to grow out the bangs that were basically cut halfway around her head. She's patient with my kids, and even gave my daughter's bunny lovey a "haircut" much to my daughter's amusement. Highly recommend!

Tony Dodson is amazing! I followed him from Belle Meade and though I hate the drive across town, I'll continue to do it because I love him that much. The first time he cut my hair several years ago I literally cried tears of joy walking out of the salon because he was the first person to "get" my thin, fine hair. He made it look better than it ever had. He's an incredibly talented stylist and fabulously intuitive--he knows just what your hair needs and he makes sure that you love your hair, too. My entire family goes to Tony now. In fact, even though our oldest and his wife now live in NYC, my daughter-in-law waits to cut her hair until she comes for a visit to Nashville because she loves the way Tony cuts her long, curly hair. She could go anywhere in NYC for a haircut, but she waits for Tony. And the best part...you won't meet a kinder, more caring person. Tony's the best!

Had a great cut with Tony! I had shoulder length hair and knew I wanted a change, but wasn't sure exactly what would look good. Tony walked me through the options and helped me decide what look would be best. He kept me comfortable (and laughing) during the whole cut. I left feeling confident with a great new hair style. Lola is hands down the best! I've been going to her for years, and she never disappoints. The haircuts are always on point, and she's got a great personality that makes the whole experience.

I can’t recommend Scout’s Barbershop enough! Tony is an absolute magician with hair. He’s incredibly attentive to detail and his skills are unmatched. Every time I get my hair permed by Tony, it turns out looking absolutely incredible. What truly sets him apart is how much he cares about his clients. Tony goes the extra mile to make sure you leave with the style you want. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair.

Tony has fine attention to detail, listens well to style ideas, gives great beard trims (hubby!), and is an around great stylist! As a bonus, he has been known to also make great local restaurant suggestions. 😉

Tony Dodson was amazing with my daughter. She was nervous about her first "real" haircut and he was tender and sweet and put her immediately at ease. She also has long, curly hair, and he spent more time than I've ever seen spent on a child's haircut cross-checking and correcting and making sure it was perfect. He was also clear that if there was anything she didn't like, we could come back and he'd make it right. Spoiler: we haven't had to go back--he did a fabulous job. Tony, you've got a permanent customer!! Thank you!!

Lola rocks. She gives a killer haircut and has been so helpful in helping me find styles that I love. I trusted her to do my wedding haircut, so, yeah, can't recommend Lola enough.

Scout in East has been my go to spot since moving to Nashville back in 2020. Going to other barbershops, I got used to leaving with a feeling of "this will do." Then I went to Scout and found my new favorite barber, Tony Dodson! 10/10 rating. Not only does he make you leave feeling great about your hair/how you look, he is absolutely hilarious, respectful, and treats each client like they are a priority. He always makes sure I am happy with my cut, and always offers to fix anything I am unhappy with. (I have never needed this, as he is always spot on.) It's rare that you leave a haircut and both feel good aesthetically, but also personally. Ive gone to get my haircut on rough days, but have always left feeling better than when I entered Scout.

I was in town for a little for an event. my hairdresser did a wonderful job capturing my description, the process was quiet which I prefer since I’m usually quiet and nervous person. And I also enjoyed the very welcoming environment. Tldr: I am extremely happy with my result. And overall I did in fact look fresh for the event, and still helping me feel more comfortable in my skin for the long term.

Tony Dodson is the best! Moved to TN last year and found him. Have been going ever since and have referred 5 of my buddies who now his regulars as well. He has a great sense of style and is very versatile. 10/10 would recommend getting a cut from him!

I am not the type to leave reviews, but this cut is worth its weight in Google review gold! I am a very picky person when it comes to my hair because I have very long, heavy hair and I am always scared whoever I go to is going to ruin it. Luckily, Tony knew exactly how to cut and style my hair. He did exactly what I asked and made sure to make me feel comfortable through the whole process. I love my hair!!! It suits me perfectly and he knew just what I wanted and needed. My hair is healthy and looks amazing!! Thank you Tony for bringing the life back into my hair!!!
