Butter, Eggs, & Bakin

Got this delicious bowl of chili. The flavors are so good. Had a pork chop biscuit the day before it was cooked to perfection. Homemade ice cream is delicious and the cupcakes as well. He hasn't let me down yet.

THE BEST BREAKFAST IN TENNESSEE!!! Coming from New York, had the sausage eggs & cheese biscuit, then immediately ordered a second one and brought a third one back to my friend. The next morning brought the (impressed) friend over, we had 2 big daddy’s & it was amazing again! If we had another morning in Nashville, we woulda been back again. Also the gentleman is the nicest guy ever. So yeah, GO!

Wow wow wow. I came here two days in a row for a dose for southern hospitality with a side of the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. The owner is extremely welcoming and is a stellar chef. His daughter is so kind and hardworking. On the day I was leaving Nashville, I got the seafood gumbo to go to take home with me because I knew it’d be outstanding. SIR, PLEASE DELIVER AN ENTIRE POT OF THIS GUMBO TO ME IN MEMPHIS. I mean, seriously, y’all have got to check this place out. You will be happy you did.

Stopped here for breakfast and you cannot go wrong here! I had the "Big Daddy" breakfast sandwich, which is Eggs, sausage, bacon, and cheese on a huge biscuit. It was definitely worth it. You can order online or walk up to order. Pro tip, they have a paper menu that has things not online ie the Big Daddy. I met the owner, very nice guy. I waited for a couple of minutes when I got there because the owner takes breakfast every morning to an elderly person in the neighborhood who can't get out. This man is a community hero!

I dont know what to say but wow. This place is so amazing! We were passing through Nashville on our way home from Huntsville to Cincinnati. We ordered the gumbo (I believe the chef said he normally makes it on the first week of the month, guess he decided to get it made for the holidays and new years too), chicken salad sandwich, pimento sandwich (which he had ran out of but literally made a batch while we ate a bit of our food, talk about hospitality!), sausage biscuit, grits, country ham biscuit, chess pie, and coffee because road trips amirite.
Anyway, absolutely 0 complaints. Food was all delicious, service was amazing, restaurant is a walk up window with outdoor seating. We parked at the church down the street.

TLDR - go here, eat all the food, thank me later.

This is a great little place. Its OUTDOOR seating only so be prepared. The man made our coffees and breakfast sandwiches quickly and was very pleasant. We will stop again when we are in Nashville.

Felt compelled to write a review for this lovely establishment. I had the breakfast sausage egg cheese croissant and oatmeal with fruit, both were excellent and freshly prepared. The gentleman taking my order was very courteous and make sure I got everything as ordered. High quality food at super reasonable prices, highly recommend!

Light and fluffy and Delicious!!! It is a must go place to eat ! My family and I ate here every morning while we were in Nashville! Our only regret was we didn't make it back for lunch or early dinner ! The pies are just as good as the breakfast! My family had some other breakfast items and everyone agrees that this place is the place for breakfast ! Reasonably price , and oh so good !
Stop in and see Darell and his daughter . The family has been in Nashville for 5 generations! Darell is the unofficial Mayor of the neighborhood! Great people! Say Hi to Darell for me, tell him the family from Boston and Florida say hi back !

A Chestnut Hill gem. I heard about Darryl and his shop through some neighbors and stopped by to grab lunch. Darryl was kind, hospitable, and nailed the vegetable soup. I just missed tamale season by a couple of days, but he gave me his card and told me I could put in a special request a few days early. Looking forward to cashing in that promise and trying them out!

The food was really good and fresh. We got a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit sandwich, a sausage biscuit sandwich, French toast, and a tuna salad sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese. Sooo good! The owner is really nice and provides good service.

We ordered the Big Daddy and a Bacon, Egg + Cheese on Biscuit and loved them both. Lots of flavor, biscuit was warm and fresh and the food came out hot! Highly recommended for a quick bite if you’re in the area.

While getting my car fixed I found this place close by and it was great. Had the pork chop biscuit and the gumbo. Awesome little spot with good homemade cook to order food. If you are looking to support a small business then I recommend this one!

Good breakfast! The pancakes are fluffy and the bacon is delicious. Friendly people and 🖤 owned! Outdoor seating or grab it to go. It was a 3 minute walk from my hotel. Very convenient!!

A secret gem between 1st and 2nd. It’s like going to your gramps house for breakfast or lunch. Found it by accident. Definitely coming back!!

AND: His cakes, pies are marvelous for special occasions. The Banana Pudding is best I've ever purchased

This place is INCREDIBLE. Best sausage biscuit I've ever had. The prices are fantastic, it all tasted very high quality and it was huge. The biscuits are light, fluffy, buttery, and flaky. Highly recommend!

A hidden gem!! We had the big daddy breakfast sandwich (sausage, bacon, egg, and cheese on a biscuit) and lemon meringue pie, both were amazing! We will definitely be back.
