The owners are friendly and love to chat with ya. Service was fast, helpful in making recommendations. Cute small Cafe nothing much appealing on the interior or exterior but these are the hidden gems that make the town and that foodies looking for authentic local dishes crave. I had the biscuits and gravy and these biscuits were fluffy and crunchy tastiest I've ever had. The gravy needed to be a bit more peppery for my liking but there was pepper on the table to add so I was a happy camper the server was also super friendly quick attentive conversational and made really good recommendations. Brother In Law had the smothered covered hashbrown plate that was crunchy and soft and raved about the biscuits as well. The slice cheese on top wasn't too appealing but you know felt like home with the platting atmosphere and attentiveness. Would come back for that alone and the biscuits lol

Looks are deceiving! Heavy Metal Church has a stop in Nashville this weekend and we stopped in for breakfast at this amazing place! It is old school, tiny but if you travel as much as we do you will find those are the best places to eat! Amazing staff and this is truly home cooked food!

This is a great little hole in the wall cafe. Only about 6 tables then bar seating. No one under 21 allowed in and yes you can smoke. The best old fashioned, thick hand made hamburger just like they used to make before fast food. Definitely will be back. The ladies working there he have the best personalities. They just made it the best experience ever

A great little Southern dive! Had the philly cheese steak and it was excellent! The staff were friendly and very accommodating for my keto diet (had the philly with no bread option) and I felt great knowing that I was patronizing a family owned establishment that's been around since 1953!

The best hidden gem in Springfield. A good place to find a paper and a friend. The friendliest folks this side of the Mason-Dixon. Excellent food made to order.

The ladies are awesome. Very friendly. The food is very good. They were extremely helpful helping my wife with food choices not on the menu. We will definitely be back.

Not many tables. It's strictly for adults 21+ because it IS NOT a SMOKE-FREE establishment. Food was delicious!

We were traveling through Springfield looking for a good country breakfast…and on the 4th of July that was no easy task since most all local places are closed. We pulled in about to go in and were informed they had already closed early for the holiday. Saddened we asked how far it was to the Waffle House and the precious lady said she was not letting us go to the Waffle House and she would gladly serve us. It was so appreciated! Everything was wonderful from the food to the service to the conversations with the many regulars that were still there when we walked in…could not have been better! We felt very welcome and will definitely go back and try lunch, I hear the burgers are delicious!

SO GLAD I FOUND THIS PLACE. Don't let the melanin in my skin fool you... I'm as country and redneck as they come and nothing makes me feel more at home than a good ol Diner with greasy good food and an ashtray so I can smoke while and after I eat!! Everyone in here seems like they know everyone well and I like that. Place just feels like home to me. Best bacon cheeseburger I have ever had. And the home fries! I could order those by themselves they were so good. Down home sweet tea, haven't had tea that sweet and good since I been back home to VA. Sitting here smoking and I gotta be honest, I don't even want to get up and leave. I definitely will be back. Only down side is I can't bring my teenager in because it's a smoking restaurant, but I can always grab to go with him! Can't wait to bring to bring my Mr.

For a small mom and pop restaurant, I loved it. My wife and I met up with 2 friends in the area, we found this place and had a great time. Great food at cheap prices, friendly, not pushy or always in your face. They do allow smoking inside which for us was a plus, being we are smokers though. Would reccomend it to anyone looking for a simple nice place to relax and have some good down home cooking.

All I can say is "YUMMY".
Every time I order, the food is always good. But I must say I enjoy the stuffed burgers the most by far. A single party is all you need. They have thick patty burgers no matter what you order

I absolutely love this place it's been around all my life. The owners and employees are awesome! Now let's talk about the food.. I have to say incredible! You watch them make your food fresh, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. No matter what time you go the experience is great!!! Thank you for all your hard work and effort to make this restuarant so great!!!

Amazing food. One of the last great "dirty spoon" style places in the area. The food is always delicious, and if you smoke they allow smoking inside!

Quaint little place. Good portion sizes. Great food. Nice staff. I had the Philly Cheesesteak and my boyfriend had the bacon cheeseburger. Both were really good. We will definitely be back.

Springfield's oldest cafe has reached nearly 70 years for good reason. Home style food at reasonable prices. Definitely will be back soon.
