This vinyl shop is worth a road trip. They had an excellent selection and the prices are decent. Nirvana was at the door to greet me and I felt as though I won the lottery. They also have crates if free vinyl that you might find something you didn't realize you needed in your collection and its FREE!

This was an amazing gem! The collection is AMAZING. So much variety and high quality selections. Plus, the vibe was nice too. Ended up walking away with 4 new records— 1 rare Led Zeppelin find. Will definitely be back again and again!

Alison is such a sweet and trendy lady and so is her Record Shop. I brought my family there after a day at the mall for a record convention. Her selection was just a good as the convention and great prices to boot. What a lucky find.

Awesome record store! Last two times I’ve been there found records I’d been looking for at a good price. Owner even dug thru a bunch of boxes and found one record id been looking for a while! Great place great customer service!

Lovely record store with an excellent selection of desirable vinyls. That being said, you'll probably not be crate digging for bargain bin deals here. The store is well curated, and the prices reflect that. This is still a great place to check-out, especially if you're looking for a good quality record to fill out a collection.

I absolutely love Alison's Record Shop. I came down from Northern Illinois to visit family and look for some great records. Alison is very organized, very helpful (thank you Alison) and the prices are very fair and reasonable. Now I have an excuse to visit family more often....just kidding, but Alison is great 👍

Visited from OHIO. What a great place. Records are rated fairly, and mostly better than I've seen at any other used record shops. Nice selection of harder to find records, too. Plus, Alison was very helpful. Will visit, again.

Just has a great atmosphere: jazz records turning and chill staff that lets you browse. Vinyl collection has any rare thing you can think of. Also good bargain price vinyl for those starting out. Also has cool events that are also chill

Amazing, carefully curated collection at extremely fair prices for high quality vinyl. Alison the proprietor is smart, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Was impressed that albums have sticky notes on them explaining the grading of the vinyl and other useful info.

Wow. What a fun and amazing collection! A whole wall of original Beatles albums, fantastic jazz and classical LPs, and some really sweet 80s and 90s alt rock/ indie records. I've been to a handful of record stores around Nashville and Alison's was by far the most interesting. I'm going back the next time I have a few hours to kill. It's a small shop but a dense collection.

Absolutely amazing quality of vinyl. The owners are not only knowledgeable, but are great researchists and can find practically anything you are looking for. And if you have need of a turntable and some great listening speakers, ask about those as well. You won't be disappointed.

Fantastic little record store with an amazing stock of great records and a friendly and helpful owner. If you're looking to dig through countless discount crates of junk with hopes of finding a rare gem, this is not the store for you. The store is full of rare gems and first pressings in excellent condition, and while you won't be able to pull a garage sale heist of scoring a Beatles' butcher cover for $10, the prices are reasonable given the excellent quality of the records. And if they don't have what you're looking for in stock, Alison can probably find it for you. This is the perfect shop for the seasoned collector who is tired of searching store after store for those difficult-to-find albums to round out your collection or for someone new to vinyl wondering where to start. However, those looking to build up their collections by purchasing a large quantity of poor quality records are likely to be disappointed (though there are a few bins with records for $5 or less). But if there are a few records that you have been searching for to no avail or if you have been struggling to find a certain album in good condition, pay a visit to Alison's. You will probably find what you're looking for and more.

I found plenty of gems, all graded for condition, and saw some good finds in the bargain bins. To top it off, I got my new cartridge installed and aligned on my turntable.

Alison's Record Shop is a hidden gem! It ain't cheap, but as others have mentioned, her grading is spot on, and it is not often you get to peruse a record store which has a BUNCH of killer vinyl, and every damn record has a post-it note on it.... Pretty impressive! She knows what she's got for sure.

Small record shop but with a really high quality used vinyl selection. I found about 5 really clean copies of some records. And by clean I don't just mean the vinyl. The covers were in very good + shape. Looking forward to returning soon.

Astonishingly comprehensive collection of vinyl, including multiple copies of first pressings and imports, mostly in VG+ or better condition. Super friendly, helpful, knowledgable owners--by far the best record shop in Nashville, and possibly in the Southeast.

At first I thought the prices were a little high on a few of the albums I wanted, But after buying them online and getting one that was a counterfeit (yes, someone is still producing counterfeit vinyl) and another that was graded way off (it was graded at a vg+ more like a g) i feel completely stupid for not paying the little extra from this great locally owned business. I have bought a few things from this establishment, the grading on the albums are spot on. Everything I could ask for. Thank you guys for being super helpful and friendly. Y'all are Music Experts.

Alison's Record Shop offers a great selection, easy access off I40, helpfull staff (Alison), record grading is spot on, prices are reasonable for what you get, no gimmicks, great vintage vinyl. Nashville has a Festive Little Record Store.

I 've lived in "music city " for 6 years and was pretty let down by the amount of physical media available. It was either jacked up too much, specialized in only their product (sorry Jack White ) so I was stoked to find Alison's not only 5 minutes from home but compared to internet and record outlets the prices are more than reasonable. I wish she had more visibility from Charlotte Pike. Also next door is a nice audio equipment store that sales both new and used so if you're just getting into the vinyl thing this is my recommendation.
Not to mention the staff is extememly helpful. So get up and go check it out!
