Delicious! I used to frequent this place years ago before I started doing reviews. They’ve still got it! The atmosphere is a little dark, but that doesn’t personally bother me. It’s a good mood setting when you want quiet time. Classical music plays overhead and it’s a nice escape from hustle and bustle of every day. The service is fantastic. My tea was never below 1/2 full. I started with the eggdrop soup which was very good. For my entree, I had the sesame chicken with fried rice. The meal comes with an eggroll. Everything was wonderful. That’s probably the best sesame chicken I’ve ever had! The eggroll is perfectly fried and crispy. I forgot why this place was a favorite of mine so many years ago. Glad I visited today. The dining area is small, with about 12-13 tables. It gets busy during the lunch rush. I went for a late lunch and thoroughly enjoyed this almost forgotten gem. I miss the fun placemats they used to have on the tables. “Year of the” rabbit, dog, sheep, etc. They were fun to read, but they no longer have those. The restaurant is very Chinese decorated. It’s a nice little spot. $10.80 before tip. Great value! Don’t skip this place!

Been eating here since I was a girl, just as delicious as I remembered it being. While I miss the placemats I imagine it's much easier on staff for cleaning tables during rush! I highly recommend getting the egg rolls and any of the chicken dishes. So delicious!

Recommend 10/10 I absolutely love this place! Great food need I say more? Try it yourself you will not be disappointed. This is a mom and pops type of establishment not a whole corporate entity but absolutely worth it!

Visited this week since I was in the area. I read reviews first and decided to give it a try. I must say my plate, the Spicy and Tangy chicken was delicious. Hot and sour soup is really good, better than most I've tried in a while. Restaurant was clean and the staff treated me well. Enjoyed my time being there. Will definitely be back for more.

Been coming here for 25 years and get the sesame chicken every. single. time. It’s insanely good and the lunch specials are mega deals incredible bang for your buck. The owner and people that work there are super friendly and welcoming. I can’t say enough good things about this place just go and get the sesame chicken. Trust me.

A hidden gem. We walked in on this raining afternoon trying to get our Chinese food fix. Saw the menu online and decided to give it a go. Lunch portion was very reasonable and we got a lot of food. Chicken with rice.. soup and a spring roll for under $10.. Both of our meal was around $20 after tax.. The ladies were very nice and accommodating. Will definitely be back soon.

I would’ve never have found this place had it not been for one of my college buddies who grew up in this part of town.

The sesame chicken is quite possibly one of the best dishes in all of Houston. The chicken is so sticky, and gooey, hot, delicious. It’s just the perfect blend of flavor.

Sesame chicken and fried rice is all you need to order and this place will 1000% become your new go-to for Chinese take-out.

After trying several Chinese eateries in the west I-10 corridor, Hunan Inn has emerged as the clear winner for consistent food, service, and quality at a fair price. It is now my GO TO place, especially outside of Chinatown.

Lunch specials daily till 4 PM starting at under $6 including choice of rice, choice of soup, and an egg roll. Great deal.

This is a family owned establishment. Orderly, client, and very clean. The service is very attentive. You won't be disappointed.

A nice little hole in the wall type place. Went there for lunch was very busy but got sat very quickly. Food was really good. Highly recommend the house specia Lomaine. And prices are reasonable.

Have only ever gotten carry out, but the fear is great and the people there are very friendly and very nice. Good value as well.

Quiet laid back atmosphere. Great prices, great food, fast friendly service. Every dish I’ve had for lunch here has been amazing. Even the water here tastes great and that says a lot about their level of detail.

I really can’t say enough good things about this place. It makes going to work each day a little bit better knowing that I can stop by here for lunch to temporarily escape the corporate chaos. This really is the perfect Chinese restaurant.

The Best Sesame Chicken in Houston! Great prices & curtious service. I have been going here for years. Fantastic Spring rolls, Fried Wonton, it's always fresh, everything I have tried is wonderful.

This was our first time coming here, and I have to say that I am quite pleased with the overall experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone stopping by.
We went in during lunch and were met with a nice, relaxed ambience. Everything was clean and the tables were pre-set. Our waiter was delightful, and the wait-time between ordering was relatively quick.
I would rate the food a 9.5/10. My family ordered the egg drop soup, spring rolls, fried rice, beef and broccoli, shrimp and lobster, and lo mein— all of which was delicious! The size of the food was perfect, and my family and I still had some leftover to bring home.
Overall, our experience was very good, and we can’t wait to go back!

Hunan Inn is our favorite Chinese restaurant. The food is delicious! I love the pepper steak, fried rice, spring roll, and egg drop soup. The sesame chicken is also fantastic. My husband loves the shrimp with lobster sauce but everything is good. We usually go for lunch and the prices are good and staff is great. I like the quiet, relaxed atmosphere. It’s a great place to go with friends and family.

Very good Chinese... I had Egg drop soup for appetizer. I liked it alot.... nice and hot. General TSO's Chicken was my main course. Delicious white meat chicken with steam vegetables. 🍲

I'd give it 10 stars if I could as it's now my favorite Chinese restaurant. I have been here about 20 times in the past 6 months and usually try something different each time, it's all delicious! The meats are meticulously trimmed and very tender, the vegetables are fresh and crisp, the sauces are bold and flavorful, and the egg drop soup is simply PERFECT. This place has no equal when looking for a quick, sit-down lunch. My favorite dishes so far are the beef and broccoli and the spicy tangy chicken. Hunan Inn is excellent ! - Gabriel

Best Chinese food I’ve had since leaving San Francisco. I order the broccoli beef. Sweet-and-sour shrimp. Garlic shrimp. Fried rice. Love this place! reasonable pricing. Fast service.
