H-E-B

After moving to Texas, H-E-B has become my favorite go to grocery store. The vegetables and fruits are fresh. The frozen and dessert section has a huge variety. My most favorite buy from here is the sushi: savory flavor, diverse combination and what not. H-E-B's own brand foods are their main attractions for the buyers. The extra saving deals and coupons also helps a lot. The restrooms are always clean. Plus the staff here are always very friendly and helpful.

I've only done curbside ordering twice before cause usually I want to pick my own stuff and end up buying more than what's on my list, but can I say, I'm not mad at this alternate option at all. Super convenient and the online process was easy. Once I arrived, found a spot to park and sent the notification I was there, I waited less than 10 min for my groceries to arrive. Maybe it's just me, but thats not bad at all for a pick up time from 5-5:30p on a Monday at a super busy location!!

Busy on weekends. Rarely out of stock in common items. Better selection of alternative items (keto, gluten free) than other locations in the area and by far the best grocery store in Spring Branch.

HEB is a great grocery chain. This location is great! The only problem with this location is that it is in a super busy area. You can always find parking but sometimes you might have to be looking for it for a while and you might have to walk. Besides that this location is huge and has everything. The thing I like about this location is if you bring your own beer stein they will fill up your growler and you can shop while having a beer. They also have a great selection of pre-made meals and a huge wine selection. Having the Academy, Pet Smart and all the other things around it make it convenient too but kinda bad because it is a very busy area.

So, if you live in Texas, you believe this place is the BOMB! If you are from out of state… Texans think you should love it as much as they do… or they don’t care what you think. Either way, it is a great store with tons of choices and plenty of people there to distract you or to help you find, say, where the cheese section is. The staff was super friendly… and I’ve been told that this actual HEB is the one to go to… not the other one that is kinda close by. (Not sure why on that)

H-E-B has truly set the standard for an outstanding grocery shopping experience. Located in Houston Tx the store boasts a wide selection of fresh produce, high-quality meats, and a diverse range of products. I love this H-E-B because they have everything that I want like flour tortillas that are homemade. I also love to get fresh fish from the seafood department and they always have quality produce which is really important to me because I try to eat organic and there’s not very many stores that carry all organic products so that’s really important to me. That’s another reason why I really love love love the store.

I also love the fact that anytime I ask someone where an item is, they always know exactly where it is and they even come and help you and show you where it is at if you’re unsure I usually don’t get that service at another store usually when you ask someone where something is they’re like I don’t know even though they work there they have no idea and they don’t even try to help so that’s why I stick with H‑E‑B as well

Fresh produce, clean and organized aisles, and the kindest most helpful staff. The parking can be a mess but if you avoid Bunkerhill and use the feeder entrance it’s not that bad. The best thing about this HEB is the top notch staff. Stephen is the best pie ambassador; absolutely love his enthusiasm and personality. Mags in cooking connection is incredible and a skilled cook. This HEB (My HEB) makes grocery shopping a great experience and something to look forward to. Keep up the great work!

2021 update: Still love this location. Clean, organized, amazing variety and everything fresh. They recently did a reorganization and I love the new layout. Also, they have the best tortillas made in house! Highly recommend the flour or corn/flour mix tortillas.

I love this HEB. Downsides, it is often very crowded and difficult to find parking and get into the parking lot and crowded throughout the store. But it is a nice store and I usually find everything I need. I like to buy the 30 lb. bag of HEB Texas Pets 4 Flavor Morsels cat food, and sometimes they're out (Please order more :) ) but there is good selection and fresh produce.

Nice place for groceries in Texas. Great customer service, I needed help few times & dealt with three different employees, all 3 ladies were wonderful & helpful. They’ve suggested few items for me & I liked their recommendations. I also loved their seafood section, both Exotic & fresh items. Their bakery is nice as well, I mostly liked the sample of fresh juices that they make. You try a sample before buying the bottle, shows confidence in their products.

Amazing store. Gear selection of produce. Excellent pre-made meals including freshly made sushi. Fresh cooked food like crawfish & shrimp when it's in season. Very clean inside and out. It's a very busy location so using pickup might be helpful. Very large parking lot but with it being busy you might need to walk a bit. Definitely recommend this grocery store. It's location is ideal as it's next to Costco

There's a little bit of everything. One of the biggest HEB's in town.

Keith in curbside is AMAZING! He exudes customer service and is truly passionate about serving others. I ordered a bouquet of flowers on behalf of my dad at curbside to be delivered to my mom for her birthday as he was homebound after surgery and wanted to surprise her. The favor driver somehow didn’t deliver or I’m not sure what happened but Keith in the Curbside area took action with no questions and not even knowing the situation! He simply wanted to ensure the customer was cared for and the order was correct. Within one hour he had another bouquet delivered and my mom was thrilled! Keith is a keeper and simply went beyond to help today not knowing how special this order was to me!

Lucy in pharmacy dept. was a life saver!!!!!!
I was told by another pharmacy employee that I needed a “prescription” for syringes. I know this is not true because I purchased them several times for my wife’s insulin injections previously. That employee was wrong!!!! I went back and Lucy was able to help me get what my wife needed to survive!!!!!!! Thanks Lucy!!!!!!

HEB on Katy Freeway: One of the Best HEBs in Houston

I've been to a lot of HEBs in Houston, and the HEB on Katy Freeway is definitely one of the best. It's huge, so it has a great selection of everything you need. The produce section is especially good, and they always have fresh fruits and vegetables.

The staff is also very friendly and helpful. I once left my phone at the cashier, and they were able to find it for me. I was really grateful for their help, and I'm glad that I was able to get my phone back.

Here are some other things I like about the HEB on Katy Freeway:

The bakery is amazing. They have fresh-baked bread, pastries, and cakes.
The deli is also great. They have a wide variety of meats, cheeses, and prepared foods.
The seafood counter is top-notch. They have fresh fish and shellfish, and they can even cook it for you.
The customer service is excellent. The staff is always friendly and helpful.
Overall, I would highly recommend the HEB on Katy Freeway to anyone looking for a great grocery store in Houston. It's a bit of a drive from downtown, but it's worth it for the selection and the service.

Here's the story about how I left my phone at the cashier and they helped me find it:

I was shopping at HEB on Katy Freeway one day, and I was in a hurry. I was checking out at the cashier, and I put my phone down on the counter while I was paying. I forgot to pick it up, and I walked out of the store without it.

I realized that I had left my phone about 30 minutes later, and I went back to the store. I went to the customer service desk, and they told me that they had found my phone. They had turned it in to the cashier who had helped me check out.

I was so relieved to get my phone back, and I was really grateful to the cashier for helping me find it. I'm glad that I was able to shop at a store with such great customer service.

Forever will be my to go supermarket. Produce and food in general always fresh with good selection. Friendly and helpful staff providing their best customer service.
Last but not least the cleanliness, always on point.

We were pulling in to the garage when a guy dressed in camo sweatpants and blue long sleeve T and his wife and kid approached us over a parking issue and threatened to shoot us. We were looking for the HPD officer we had seen upon entering but assumed he left to patrol other parking areas. We ended up leaving while the driver of the black Dodge truck and his family continued to talk vile and rudely.

This Store rocks! The quality of the food and products are extremely well played out with a variety of things to fit your desire. HEB is the King of Supermarkets in Texas.

I don’t know about you, but I love my H-E-B! This is by far one of the favorite ones I like to visit. Everything is so fresh and clean inside. Plenty of parking in the front as well. Plus there’s always a police that helps direct traffic so no one is being a jerk driving too fast or cutting off people. I get all my groceries here. Especially when I’m looking to make a quick fix meal for dinner. Love that they have in store yellow coupons to get free items with purchase! Prices are pretty cheap as well. Great for when you’re on a budget! Came here the other night to buy stuff to make chili cheese dogs & frito pies. And it was a big hit!
