Pepe's Cafe

This is a good place to eat for your standard Mexican food. Food is tasty and very fresh. If you like a small family owned Mexican restaurant, this is the place to go. The cook got my order wrong but made the greatest effort to correct it without complaint. That’s a big plus in my book. Service is outstanding.

1st time in the resturant. The waitress was super nice, great customer service. The breakfast was great, and their coffee was hot and great to the taste. We had their huevos ranchers and their hot sauce was nice and hot. I would definitely recommend this place.

My first visit to Pepe's Cafe and it won't be my last. The restaurant is clean and the staff are very friendly. I ordered the Machacado breakfast plate with flour Tortillas.
The plate is a type of meat mixed with eggs and other items and comes with refried beans and fried potatoes. A small dish of spicy sauce accompanies it. One word to describe it is "delicious."
Price is right too. The breakfast with coffee, (very good), was only $10.00.
I will be back to visit Pepe's with my wife in the near future.

I'll never get enough of this place!! We've been regulars since they're other location!! We're always treated like family. Food has never once disappointed and I highly recommend their cinnamon roll. 🤤🤤🤤 5 stars always!! Owner is amazing!! Tacos are delicious and so are the tortillas!!

The food at Pepe's Cafe has always been delicious. My problem is that I don't know what to get most of the time. Everything is delicious!!

Ordered a Sincronizada Plate to go but my voice was strained and they heard Fajita Plate. I wasn't even mad. I still took it. Salsas were good and made two big flour tortillas. Fajita cooked with green peppers and onions, came with rice, beans and a small salad. Will be going back for the Sincronizada tho and possibly for breakfast on ocassion. Looks small on the outside but cozy atmosphere on the inside. Good observant servers and service.

First time here. Food was delicious and staff was nice and friendly. Totally recommend Pepe’s.

We finally ate here on Thursday. We were very pleased with the food and service. We went back again on Friday evening. It was their 2nd day to serve during dinner hours. We were the only ones in their. Our server was very kind. She gave us several different kinds of food to taste.
The food (Fajitas) was great. Service was excellent too. We will be back! I have been telling others to give Pepe a try.
One other thing I noticed. They have a marker board that has Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
Spreading the salvation message! I like that.
It will hold them to a higher standard because they are representing JESUS!

Prices are very very decent which is kind of unfair to them, since the food will literally have your taste buds on a wild journey!!! ❤❤

Food is freshly made

This great place is family run, and you can tell it by the food. So many flavors, ample portions, great service, fresh-from-scratch dishes. Things start well with their home-made salsa and chips and just keep getting yummier!

The food was off the charts! The menudo was so good, I highly recommend the three meat omelette. Wife had the French toast and said it was the best she ever had. The service was awesome as well, our waitress was always asking if we needed anything. I will be coming back every weekend here. Thank you for the great service and food.

My previous favorite restaurant was Grandma's in Mercedes, but whenever it closed, my family and I went looking. We found Pepe's!
The cook is Pepe himself, and he is an amazing chef who cares about taste and presentation. The plates placed before you are so beautiful. Even his quesadillas have an assortment of perfectly cooked yellow and green peppers for aesthetics. All of the dishes I have ordered are out-of-this-world-good. All the waitresses are great too.
The only drawbacks are it closes at 5 and know that there is a cash price and a card price.
