Long John Silver's

I know what you're thinking, cause I can't believe it myself. 5 Stars! I came here a handful of times on Friday during Lent. The young lady at the drive thru was great. She was nice to me and my dogs! Food was fresh! Looks like they have new management and crew.

I came here for dinner yesterday (Feb.21) 10 minutes before 6pm . While they were out of grilled items that day I was still happy with my food and experience here. First I must say this place is under staffed 3 people working dinner while the place is slammed inside and at the drive thru so EXPECT long wait times PEOPLE if you are doing dinner. I was lucky to just got in before the rush. I had the fish sandwich meal with hush puppies with add-a- piece of clams strips, and a crab cake. The building overall could use an upgrade as well as new ventilation. I'm pretty sure the drive thru speaker doesn't work as I heard no outdoors orders being placed only inside so you will have to order at the window. Inside ceiling and some seats need replacing. Ventilation while this place had plenty of it, dinner time cooking was steaming up the kitchen and some of the seating area. Don't hate on this place that much as it was actually clean (like spotless) inside even with those issues.

Now the food wait time was about 10 minutes after placement which ain't that bad as was hot and fresh taste (NO old oil here) the sandwich was delicious although I should have asked for more tartar sauce and it comes with dill pickles and no cheese if your the type of person that dislikes cheese on fish (like me). Hush puppies were good but were too dense for me. Clams were a first for me, there were in strips and were very yummy in fact it was my favorite side out of the 3 I got. The only negative about them is while I was able to taste the clam with every bite I must say they were batter heavy. Crab cake was Ok it was my first time while fine it has the most negatives out of my meal. First the positive, they are MADE TO ORDER at this location as the person who took my inside order did say "1 crab cake" out loud for the kitchen staff to hear while the rest of my order didn't receive that treatment. It had that perfect ratio of breading to filling inside, was on the thick side, and it even came with free crumbles along inside. Now the negatives for $2.59 it was the size of a slider pattie I would have liked it to be a bit bigger with less of those crumbs or removed them over all and just lower the price down a bit although I know crab is more of a luxury nowadays. The filling I was iffy as it seems to have some type of cheese like strand in it which if it was cheese I wish it was just not in it overall, also the crab was somewhat lacking in it.

Now with all that done I will be back for sure especially since they were out of grilled food at the time. Food was still hot when I got home and I know what to expect next time with all the problems they are having there right now.

I always love to come and relax and enjoy my food. Sandra is so nice and friendly and always makes sure everything is good!! She is also one person that I love coming back and she's here!!

LJS is nostalgic for me. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was very fresh and delicious. The building could use some TLC.

The food was delicious!! Ordered take out and got back on road and I told my husband turn back so I can go ring the bell!😁Best Long John Silver's in Lubbock! The other two are nasty.

I usually get my food to go from this specific location as they always do a great job and to me, seem to be the better of the two locations that are left in Lubbock. I will drive across town to specifically go to this location.

We left one LJS today due to a bad situation with customer service and we got a refund. We came across town and ordered here. The people we very nice to us and our meal was perfect!

Still the same but cost a little more haven't been in years since they closed in Amarillo.

This LJS has been putting out great service and great seafood for many years.

Update** Went yesterday 6/29/23 and it was so good. The drive through is busted, but going in and ordering was not a problem. The guys working before 3pm did a fabulous job. Wish I would have gotten their names. The guy working the register was polite and the food was hot. I will be back!!

Chicken was very dry. Service is very friendly and it was clean.. Just need to throw away old food. Service fresh

Haven’t had this in a long time coming here to see my uncle in the hospital after leaving there eating here made my day much better!!
The food was good crispy and fresh nothing was out of place on my platter!!

The service was great and food was fresh! Though it takes a while to order and get through the drive thru, they do a great job while being short staffed.

When arriving to the restaurant I was greeted professionally and I got what I ordered at a good time real fast the employees there were professional courteous fast diligent. And the food was the best it could be the best I ever had I just wish I had more

Nice and clean everything was cooked fresh we didnt know what to really get for a family of 5. The girl at the cashier was so sweet and suggested we try the all you can eat fish or chicken deal for 7.99! It was worth every penny we paid. The guy manager was nice as well and made sure we got our order correctly. Our 5 year old is very picky amd she ate all of her meal. The temperature inside was just right and not crowded at all. Will definitely make this a Sunday ritual to eat here with our kids.

Quick drive-thru. Accurate order. Not like the store on 50th & I-27. I used to live, close to the latter store, and orders would take almost 15 min. This store, took less than 6, AND got my order correctly.

We miss Our Long Johns in Amarillo Tx!. We made it a point to grab some while we were Lubbock!. And it did not disappoint!. The staff was super friendly and made sure were taken care of. From the greeting to us ringing the bell on the way out!. Food was delicious!. We will definitely be back!

Had a VERY long wait for food the evening we went (a Friday, before Christmas). Left a message via IG and also sent an email to their feedback email. Fish was delicious, hushpuppies were a tad too crispy for my liking. Flavor was good though. A few days later, got a call back from the store manager. Very nice lady, who apologized for the long wait time. She offered us a free meal the next time we visit. Excellent response from the management team.

Great customer service from Mariah and staff. Manager was on duty and helping with the cooking as well as maintaining the Front line and drive through. Great staff and Food. Haven't been here in about a year because the food was starting to get bad and the customer service was horrible. Definitely will be coming back again soon. Thank you!
