Hoppergrass Restaurant

We always enjoy hoopergrass when we have a family get together. You never feel like they are trying to push you out as quick as you get through eating. And the food is always great.

I love Hoppergrass however, it would be nice to be able to get foods that are offered only on certain days such as fried livers on Tuesday and bone in catfish on Friday. I get off my job at noon and by the time I get there(12:15) they are already sold out. Most lunch breaks don't start until noon. I'm hoping they would really consider this fact .

I love everyone in there. It's a great atmosphere to eat in. There are times I want 2nds. The cooks are phenomenal. The food is really good.

I wish just there was 2nds... And I wish when they do chicken there were more choices than 4 different ways to serve chicken. That's all.
It means I have to choose chicken.

I’ve eaten in this place dozens of times over the last several years. I can’t think of anything that I have had that was bad. Obviously, some dishes are better than other dishes, but non have been bad. Love the cornbread in there peach cobbler and the chicken fingers. The prices are reasonable. Not the cheapest, not the most expensive, and you get a good size helping! I left a special, kept her one time, and I kept it for me. Next time, a good touch of honesty!

My husband & l have been here about 3 or 4 times. The food is always good & very filling. The staff is very friendly & helpful! We never leave hungry always more than l can eat ! A very nice homey atmosphere! Thank you to each of you that make this a good place.

Wish there was a higher rating. Food is delicious and staff is so friendly and accommodating. Cafeteria style where you pick what you want. There is a good selection plus generous proportions. There is ample comfortable seating. If you want good country home cooking, where you can relax and enjoy a meal, this is the place

Amazing place to eat! I found this a year ago and have been back at least once a month since! The staff is always friendly, and the only thing better than the service is the food!! There’s a reason there is always a line here, because everyone knows the little wait is always going to be worth it.

We have eaten here several times and the food has been good each time. The staff were helpful and polite. It is a very popular place on Sunday after church but we were seated and eating in no time. They hove a fair assortment of items to choose from for your meal.

This is a very busy lunchtime eatery. It is well worth the wait. The environment is very welcoming and decorated beautifully. They offer booth and table seating, so bring a party of any size. There are a few private rooms that can host business luncheons.They offer a variety of southern comfort foods that are cooked to perfection. They have great desserts as well. The price is very inexpensive for a sit down lunch restaurant.

Great home-cooked meal just like Granny used to make. Made from scratch desserts. Excellent prices. Definitely worth the drive from Dothan!

The food was seasoned well, the portions were generous. The staff was friendly. We will go back.

We go here for lunch on Sundays occasionaly. They hosted and catered our wedding, too. WONDERFUL owner and delicious food! The staff are always so friendly, too.

Very large seating area our server got our drink orders while going threw the line it was 15 for 2 severing were very nice no schimping it was more than we could eat
Kelly got macaroni and cheese chicken tenders and potato logs now we are not fans of chicken tenders because they are alwats dry these were not they were very juicy i got fried chicken mash potatoes with gray green heans and pech cobler i must say i was very surprised at the taste of the green beans they are usually not seasoned well they reminded me of my gradmother and the peach cobbler was amazing and you get a choice or cornbread or a roll if you like southern cooking and we do this is a must try place

It was pretty good! The fish was excellent, as well as the Mac and cheese. If your in town try it out, you want be disappointed.
