if you like beer and you like food this place is awesome, absolute ideal location for truck drivers. they got a couple pool tables, a bunch of dart boards, lots and lots of booth and tables seating. 4 pints and a loaded 9oz steak plate with two sides for 40 bucks. 9 oz New York strip was good af, fat+flavor+fluffy. hotel is like 20 feet away across the parking lot, u can crawl if you need to lmao. coming back for sho 👍

We walked over from the truck parking at petro. Very good food. I got the 2 pork chops(1breaded, 1 grilled). My husband had the 16oz steak. It was.excellent, we both were both extremely satisfied. Hard to find good home cooked food on the road and this place had it. Quick, friendly service. Great music, clean,
nice place to have a drink, and eat a yummy dinner.

Good service, Nikki and Vanessa are awesome! I come here every chance i can for 12oz ribeye, but everything I've eaten here has been great! With the Petro truck stop right next door, there's always plenty of truck parking

The bartenders and wait staff are very personable and professional. I always look forward to coming back when I can. The food is amazing with that awesome chef they have. Always a pleasant time.

We ate here for the first time a week ago and had an awesome experience and awesome food! Hubby had the char broiled pork chops and I had the beer battered walleye. Both were excellent! We went at 5pm on a Friday so not too busy but the atmosphere was wonderful. People playing pool, music playing, people visiting at the bar. We will definitely b back!

No frills local joint that’s as fun as it gets. Steaks are from the local butcher shop. Get the Ribeye and thank me later. If they could get a pinball machine and a picture on the bathroom wall we may have a 6 star joint.

Busy night it was with pool league and I can only imagine it’s the same during dart league but the service was good enough for me tonight start a long day at work! Got my food order in the last minute, quick drinks and some great combo with the patrons and workers along with a good atmosphere!

To my fellow truck drivers! They are very trucker friendly and you can find parking all around this fine establishment! And if you haven't tried the ribeye steak here yet, you are missing out! I stop here every time I pass through the area and have yet to receive anything less than perfection! 😛 Also, the bartenders and servers are very friendly and make sure you're taken care of so get your butts over here and keep this place in business!

Absolutely great food and service. The cheese sticks were amazing. Completely home made. Not the small frozen cheese sticks you get from most places. When they brought out the cheese sticks, I thought it was the fish I ordered they were so big. The walleye was beer battered, delicious, and flaky. The other day, I ordered the New york strip. It came out cooked perfectly, medium rare. It was one of the best steaks I've had in a while. The service was great, friendly, and attentive. I downed my sweet tea. Before I could ask, she brought me another. I was extremely thirsty and downed that one. Without asking, the waitress brought me 2 sweet teas to quinch my thirst. The only possible complaint I could have is the noisy atmosphere, but it is a bar, so you can't really penalize for that. The staff were all friendly and seemed to enjoy being there. A sentiment you don't see in the food industry much anymore. I would highly recommend Chasers to anyone looking for a great bar and grill while in the Effingham Illinois area. You won't be sorry.

I had the 16oz ribeye it was cooked to perfection very tasty. Definitely will be back!!! They even have truck parking very nice.

Can’t miss the neon. Buckets of beer for $12 & premium for $13.50. Bit of a biker & trucker crowd, & very polite. Pool tables, darts, plenty of room, leather booths. The game plays in the background. Rock music on the jukebox. More of a restaurant than you’d expect. Real nice waitress. Give it a try! Decent dinner menu is served until quite late. Bar open until 1.

Been Coming here for 7 years. One of the best steaks in the Midwest you can get. Great staff

I absolutely love this place! I'm picky when it comes to my steak because I like mine well done but still juicy and tender and it was perfect, I'm talking melt in your mouth! While you wait for your food you can order an adult beverage, play a game of pool or throw some darts. It's right beside the Petro so if you drive a semi or a RV you can park for the night and walk there and enjoy the night or park behind it because they have on site parking. I definitely recommend this place!!

First, I'd like to thank the Petro for closing the Iron Skillet. If that had been open, we never would have tried Chasers. Wow, excellent food. We'll never eat at the Petro again! Large portions with great prices. Staff was very friendly and professional. We will be back!

Awesome food, great service. Glad the truckstop restaurant was closed. Hope to come back soon.

Come here to play 9ball on Thursdays sometimes. I really like the loaded tots and the fish dinner. Depending on how many people are in but it usually doesn't take too long for your food.
