Butera Market

This excellent grocery store has a nostalgic charm that brings me back to easier times. Great 70s music playing, like the Doobie Brothers, and the staff are always so friendly. They treat you like a neighbor, no matter if you live down the street or not. The store offers great prices on produce, meats and dairy items, etc.., along with a variety of great continental and International foods. Thank you, Butera!!!

Very nice and helpful employees from both the deli, cashiers and managers. My family always shops here and we love it. Fruits tend to spoil in a few days so make sure to refrigerate or freeze for future usage. Stop food waste!

4.2 stars. Always find loss leaders {below market prices} and plenty of inexpensive meat and veggie specials. Check their weekly flyer.
At times, Chicken Tenders, Drumsticks or 1/4s & some beef can be unbelievably priced below wholesale...
Check expiration dates on any item. Clean enough establishment. Huge resurfaced parking lot with Accessible spaces.
Wide selection of international products, too. Vegetables, meat, Bakery and Deli are all good... Prices are right in the pocket between nearby Jewel, Aldi and Amazon Fresh.
Heads up...weekly specials are often sold out without rain checks offered.
I Recommend this store. Ask to pay at the customer service desk if you have just a few groceries. Lottery tickets are available. Liquor, (some good cheap Polish Vodkas) beer and wine, etc available...some in locked cabinets.

Great sale prices in the meat department and other areas. Some of their name brand items are a little high at regular price.

This is my families main source of food. I worked here as my only job before I got schizophrenia and it is a place where almost every member of my family have worked here at some point or another. I love this place because it has been kind to me and my family. A very nice place to get food.

Shopping for bargains is a part of everyday life these days so when you see a sale on something that you like and are running low on, you want to grab that deal.

I try to order my food supplies via either Jewel or Instacart. Instacart has several stores that it has an affiliate relationship with. Jewel is a stand alone company.

I saw a sale at Jewel that I couldn't pass up. It was coffee for only 5.99. That's about 1/2 price of what it normally is so yes, order me 2 please.

When the order was delivered 5 things were missing and coffee was one of the missing items.

Although I felt bad about it I figured I still had enough to last a while.

Past experience dictates that coffee goes on sale at this time of year at many stores.

After having lunch with a friend we decided to stop at Buteras for some buns. That was another item missing from the delivery.

As luck would have it, the coffee was priced at 9.99. At least that's what the sign said. We passed it up.

After we got to the car we noticed in the lower right corner of their sale paper an ad that priced coffee at 4.99. It was the same brand Jewel had on able but didn't have available.

So in we go to the service desk to inquire. Yes, the lady said, it's 4.99. We asked if someone could get two cans for us. Sometimes it helps when people realize you're handicapped and walking around with a cane. They gladly sent someone to get the coffee and then even helped further by checking us out at the desk.

So it's a thumbs up for Butera and their staff for being so helpful. I'd recommend going there the first chance you get.

They always have a fresh produce and a good selection of meat. Their price is very affordable. I would definitely recommend buying in Butera Market.

I have panic attacks in large box stores so Butera & I fit well. I can get around without overwhelm, love their organic vegetable section and am always interested to try the variety of Polish products they feature. But best of all, I found Danish kringle, a pastry from near my hometown of Kenosha, WI!

This is a Great neighborhood shop! They have EVERYTHING from Irish food, Pasty’s, pizza burgers with REAL beef, Scottish food, Elderberry wine, Irish Cream coffee creamer, Real Cadbury chocolate, Gourmet cheese, Greek wine and olives, liquors, Boar’s Head Meats and Cheeses, and Polish foods. Everything is super affordable, and they even have a full range of fish and nuts. The shop looks like it was pulled out of the 1980’s! I love going here, most of the employees remembers their customers which makes shopping for the elderly easy.

I'd rather $ave money, than pay for updated store fixtures etc... I actually like the "dated" feel it brings me back to simpler time. Want updates shop at Marianos they charge you for it. I'll enjoy the awesome staff and dated feel, thank you very much Butera!

This place is a throwback to the 80s! Love it, great prices and great service.

Love this place! Great fruit and vegetables! Everything I need and MORE😁 for ex, it's the only place I can find my favorite ice cream (SPUMANI)!!! actually I never heard of it until I started going to Buteras like 2yrs ago 🤔 😋

Starting with the plentiful parking, to the best prices, to the myriad of items available, you have to love this place, not to mention the expeditious cashier experience. You'll stop shopping for your food anywhere else!!! They beat Jewel or Shop and Save any day!!!

Good quality and friendly and helpful staff

Great store. Produce cheap, fresh and plentiful. Delli generally much cheaper than Jewel. Has a variety of ethnic foods, Polish, Middle Eastern, etc. The place still holds onto its Italian roots as it has a great selection of imported olive oils, pastas, wines and Italian cheeses. Also has products like feta cheese and take home whole friend or rotisserie chicken for four bucks every day and ethnic products like neck bones or liver. No fresh fish or seafood, catchy displays, fine wines or live piano music but if you want old school regular groceries or ethnic foods at a price a lot less than Mariano's go here.

Technically I'm biased because I work here, but this place has everything if you're just looking for some simple groceries or some nice quality meats. The staff here are very chill and will help you out if needed. If you're thinking about going here for groceries, definitely do come.

I love everything about MY BUTERA!! I have been going there for so long. The manager is the nicest man. The employees are great and helpful...especially that one young man! I think you will know who he is! I stopped going to Jewel! Cause Butera is like a diamond in the rough! Not too many of them around!

favorite place to buy groceries. Very affordable and very good selection. The employees are very nice and very friendly. The prices are a tad bit higher than Aldi but definitely better than Jewel or even Wal-Mart. They do carry household and pet needs but the selection a little limited. The store has decent hours on most days open 9 to 9 . Even when busy it's worth it for your pocket book
