Best meal I've had out in a long time. Unassuming property, dimly lit, and still trying to reopen after this Covid- 19 stuff, I wasn't sure what to expect. Boy was I wrong. The food was amazing. The ribs and bacon wrapped asparagus for the win!!!

My husband and I eat here for lunch occasionally and are never disappointed. Great service and awesome food!

We had a very good meal. Sam, our waitress was excellent. Really appreciated her!

This is a very pleasant place to enjoy a nice meal, spend some time with friends or family and enjoy the rich history of this landmark. We had the pizza. It was excellent. The crust was crispy and soft on the inside, the toppings were not frozen nor manufactured, and the cheese was as good as the sauce. If you're interested in a great place to relax and have a good time, I highly recommend this place for you. Excellent table service!

My boyfriend and I are new to town and wanted to try out some local cuisine. I ordered BBQ ribs with coconut shrimp and he ordered Top Sirloin. The ribs were amazing, they literally fell off the bone when I tried to pick them up with my fork and the sauce had a sweet kick to it. There was coconut in the actual batter of the fried shrimp which was unique and tasty. It also came with a potato side of our choosing, so I chose sweet potato fries which were the best texture/taste wise I have ever had in my life, and my boyfriend got the twice-baked potato which was also good (we tested each others food) though maybe a smidgen dry. I also tested his steak and it was cooked to perfection! At least for those who love medium-rare. We also ordered some sort of deep-fried vegetable appetizer which of course was also delicious to perfection.
My ONLY complaint is that there was way too much food! Not only did we get all of the food mentioned above but there was also a cinnamon roll (homemade and delicious) and a salad bar as well. By the time our food came we were pretty much full and by the time we tried a few bites of our main course we were already deeply heading into a food coma. We ended up taking 3 boxes home fully packed with food, our two meals and the appetizer, and I suppose that it is a little pricey but you get a lot of food for your money!

We stumbled into this place during our stay in Ft. Madison and it easily exceeded our expectations. Food was good at a reasonable price. Most of our party had prime rib (special on Saturday night) and was happy. One person had ham steak - very generous portion. One person had the buffet, and my impression was it was mediocre - I suggest ordering off the menu. I had the Greek Lemon Chicken, which was excellent. Price was reasonable at $20-25 ea. including drinks and a giant, rather tasty cinnamon roll you get with your meal.

Our waiter, the owner's brother, was a unique entertainment talent. If you are lucky enough to get him, coax a Persian song from him.

The food was delicious! I felt like there was a lot of good choicea. The salad bar had lots of good things to choose from as well. The service was very friendly & a great atmosphere. I really enjoyed the experience and will go again!!

During a work trip we ate here multiple times. Ordering steak most of the time, the value and quality of the meat blows what we have at home out of the water. The salad bar is also above average, looking fresh and a variety of salads. GREAT STEAKS!!!!!!

I have ate here several times, LOVE IT! The chicken buffet on Wednesday night's is very reasonbly priced, good variety, and has a great salad bar! Aside from buffet tho, I have come at 10-15 mins to close on a few different occasions, and was welcomed by staff n still served amazing food as well! And the Cinnamon rolls r to die for... Js! I ALWAYS have to take some home!

Thanksgiving was easy and delicious thanks to the holiday staff at The Palms. We have relied on their holiday buffets for years and hope to for many years to come. Stop in any night for their fresh salad bars to their hot made to order menu.

Delicious! We had ribeye and wonderful bacon wrapped asparagus! Our waitress was super sweet and spoiled us with her service! 💜 Hats off to the chef!! We will be back and bring friends and family as well.

Had 20oz ribeye and it was the best steak I've had in quite a while. And that's saying something. Cooked to a perfect medium, and would've cut with a spoon. Loaded mac and cheese was delicious, as was my baked potatoe. I'd definitely recommend

Food is great, salad bar is satisfying, and the cinnamon roll, if you can catch them fresh, was incredibly tasty, even though I had trouble finishing it. The one order I placed left me very full and everything was of great quality.

Just had a wonderful brunch at The Palms. My friends and I arrived at 11am and ate and visited. The atmosphere there allows you to have conversations with out straining your voice or to hear. Wonderful service.

Great job of maintaining the charm of the old Palms, while adding their own touch to it, as well.

The salad bar is as good as any you will find in the area. Lots of cool menu items and the coldest drinks in Fort Madison bar none.

Chicken spinach wrap was very tasty & fresh.
Had prime rib dinner for dinner on a prior visit. It was excellent. Highly recommend this Ft. Madison, Ia restaurant.

Excellent dinner. The salad bar was crisp and fresh and every part of the meal was delicious. And to top it all off the service was great.

Wait staff is always quick and courteous. Great variety and fresh salad bar. Today had unbreaded wings by request and they totally hit the spot!

Food was very good and priced affordably. If you're from the area and haven't checked out the new Palm's, do yourself a favor a try it. The new owners are doing a great job.

Filet mignon was amazing. My sides were Gouda mashed potatoes and salad bar. Overall great food, great service, and nice selection of drinks.
