Scott Commissary

Large, modern building. It was like the BX and commissary in Stuttgart. One has to know prices to see if this makes sense for you. One has to consider convenience vs price. Most items were slightly higher then other big grocery stores in the surrounding communities. Add on surcharge was lower than local tax at 5%. There were many items in reduced freezers. Also many items had coupon attached. The same items were lower at the commissary than the "snack" shop. Again, convenience to run in and grab an item or two at the snack shop vs grocery lines. I will go to browse for fun.

Easy in and out for lunchtime. Meat and produce aisles were stocked with fresh items, looked liked it will last and taste good. The international aisle for the German, British, and Italian sections were limited, items on the shelves are not for common cooking recipies. The deli was busy, and you will get your freshly made sandwiches there. Cashers and baggers were polite, and at this location, care is shown for purchased items when bagging them. Overall, I am surprisingly impressed with the staff politeness, stocked aisles, cashier availability, and option for self checkout.

Great place to shop for military and veterans. Prices are very good. Place is very clean and well stocked. Employees are extremely friendly.

They usually have what I need. I love being able to have steaks cut to order.

You can't beat the prices for meat and dairy products. The sushi is also pretty good.

Great commissary to shop at, the store is always to clean, things are easy to find, and employees will always help you if you need it.

Good prices, great people, staff is always friendly and professional. My wife likes it here because they carry some of her favorite international food items

We (when my wife let's me come along) shop there once every two weeks. A real benefit after 30 years of service. Friendly and helpful staff.

Always clean and easy to navigate. Employees are friendly and assist when asked.

Always have a great time shopping at Scott AFB Illinois. I come mostly every other week. Love the people that work there. I have been shopping there for the last 30 years. I live in the state of Missouri and it is about a 40 minutes drive. You can't beat the prices and deals you can find there. I am US Army retired.

I know you asked about the Commissary but you can't beat the BX either for prices and deals also. Love the people working there also. They are always ready to help you find what you need.

I have used the Class VI, food court and the both clients for prescription refills. Never had any issues when called in ahead one or two days before by me or my doctor. Sometimes take them myself and pick them up on my way back home.

A nice place to shop for food

Well stocked commissary. Need to be authorized shopper, with Military ID. Located on Scott AFB.

A lot of parking is available as well as handicap parking. The staff is always helpful and friendly.

A lot of variety and sizes of product, low prices, and hard to find product. The store is bright, clean, and spacious. The staff were great and very helpful. I really enjoyed coming here with my family and plan to again on the future. Thank you, and thank you to the Scott base service members for your service. ❤

I can't believe some of the prices are higher then Dierbergs .Even on some of the meets . We uselessly spend around $700.00 but this time it was over a $1000
Only thing we got that we got different was the Ham but with a coupon for $10.00 off so I only paid $12.00.
We go shopping every 3 to 4 months . We when in November's for Thanksgiving and stuff to make cookies and just a few ideas to hold me over until the end of Dec. I still spend over $300.00 .
So now I'm trying to figure out if it worth driving over an hour.

I appreciate having a commissary to shop at. Most of the staff are kind and very helpful. I’m especially thankful for the online shopping, it’s been a big help for me.
My only complaint is the produce, it has been below par for the many years I’ve been here. I have to shop local stores for quality produce.
