Old Book Barn

If you're looking for books, it's definitely worth the drive. Newer books and old books are available. Fiction and nonfiction, magazines, some music, and videos are also available but in very limited quantities. Very helpful and friendly staff. I do miss the kitties they used to have, though.

So many books! The books are divided into sections based on genre, then author. I can easily go to my favorite genre and find books I've been looking for. They also have popular books that are new you can buy as well. I make this a stop every time I'm in town visiting family. I've found so many on my tbr list!!

Loved my first visit there!! They offer fair prices for trade ins. The store is highly organized and has a large selection of most genres. Will definitely be going back.

First time here.... Got together with some book club friends and we made a day trip of it.
Drove 2 1/2 hours to check it out and have an adventure.
Huge place and can be a little overwhelming.
But everything was neat, put in different genres, and very well organized in alphabetical order. You don't see that often in a used book store.
I had taken a list with me of books I was interested in, they didn't have any, but I found 5 others that I'm looking forward to reading.
Some of the used books seem a little bit high in price, but I based that off of what I could buy it used on Amazon. The price wasn't such a huge difference to quibble over.
I would go back if I lived closer.

What a wonderful book store to explore! The store is organized by different subjects so it is pretty easy to find what you’re looking for. They have local history books and postcards for sale when you first come into the store. They have new and used books available for purchase. I plan to come back.

The place is sprawling, beautifully organized, and the sections’ decorations are as much fun to look at as the assortment of actual books. The prices are reasonable and the employees are helpful and kind.

This book store was better than I expected, very well lit, well organized and clean. So many books to look at!! We very much enjoyed our visit there.

A super unique find. I was unsure of what to expect and I was blown away. There were so many books I could spend days in there and not see it all. Will definitely be going back.

I have seen the Old Book Barn promoted on Social Media and my wife and i decided to go there on our way to Arthur IL. We could have spent hours going through all of the books. We were each able to find three books to fill in those rainy days. Now knowing that we can bring back books to exchange for others we will be returning.

You definitely need some time to peruse the massive amount of books they have. I grabbed two from my book list for $9 each. The staff is super nice as well.

I love this place. There are so many options and great prices. Everything is good quality, and the staff is friendly and helpful. They sell books, dvds, cds and audio books at reduced prices. Look for the book store cats!

I Love the Old Book Barn. Just being around all of those books. I can always find great books to read. If I can't find them the staff are always able to help find them. The staff makes you feel so comfortable and are just so nice.

This place is AMAZING. They have their books organized in a really cool way. The books on wars are in the "War Room" and everything is decorated on theme for their area. They have really old books from the 1920s all the way through what are current and hot reads. I found a book series that is a hot item right now for a great price plus another series that isnt as popular. They get a really steady business and are very helpful. The only improvement I would like to see is an electronic cataloging system in the future for ease of access since my phone didnt got a signal in the store.

This place is the equivalent to heaven on Earth for me! There is so much to browse, and it is very well organized with a very knowledgeable staff if you need help otherwise. The prices are very reasonable, and they offer store credit. AMAZING place!!!

Hadn't been here in years, took my 13 and 10 years old daughters with me looking for poetry for my oldest. They have a small selection of poetry, but it didn't matter, we found the perfect book anyway. And made a nice memory with my girls.

Great place to browse new and old books! Employees are very friendly!
