Gurney's Harbor Bottle Shop

Quaint little bottle shop that’s family-owned and operated. Their claim to fame is their made-to-order deli sandwiches. Their bread (baked in-house) is potentially the best I’ve ever had on a deli sandwich.

Gurney’s is so popular in the area that during peak summer months, you should plan on getting there around 11am if you don’t want to wait in a 30+ minute line that goes out the door. NO TOMATOES, so don’t ask! Trust me, you won’t miss ‘em.

A popular sandwich stop for good reason! Bread tastes fresh and food tastes great. The Train Wreck seems to be a crowd favorite. For those who like a little "zing", ask for spicy pepper cheese, banana peppers and dijon mustard.

Freshly baked bread daily. I would recommend the therman, it's packed full delicious chicken salad and other fixings. It's definitely a favorite lunch spot.

Best sandwiches anywhere in the world. Never been sure why. Maybe it’s the bread. Maybe it’s their refusal to use tomatoes.

Gurney has the BEST sandwiches around. Definitely worth the price, the drive and, an occasional short wait, if necessary. They are family owned and ran., which makes it even more special. The bread is always made fresh daily. A day with a Gurneys sandwich is a tasty day. 😋

I’ve probably had my fist sandwich there 40 years ago. They take the phone off the hook when they get busy. They run out of stuff every day. If you come to late in the afternoon, they’ll probably be out of bread. No sandwich for you! They only take cash. So why do people wait in line for them? Because they’re really good.

Gurney's is a great stop in town for both sandwiches and liquor. The employees are friendly and the sandwiches are delicious.

Best sandwiches ever! Fresh baked bread, fresh ingredients, absolutely delicious. Bring cash as they do not accept cards. No tomatoes or sprouts on their sandwiches either! They also have an extensive selection of liquor if that's what you're in to.

Sandwiches are SO good!!! It is so funny that this liquor store sells sandwiches but it was seriously the best cold sandwich I've ever had!!

They load on the meat and their homemade bread is delicious!! If you are in the area, you must try it!

As I am not old enough to drink I cannot rate the liquor portion of the store, but they make the BEST deli sandwiches. They do not have tomato but that isn't an issue as i think the sandwiches don't need them. They give you a good ratio of bread to meet to veggies and sauce with the bread being a good inch thick slice and put down a lot of meet to match. They also have some good brownies with a fudge frosting layer that was really good and would recommend for any chocolate lover.

Even thought it's a liqueur store they have some damn good sandwiches. If you don't have a Gurney's sandwich for lunch with your friend out there then consider yourself excommunicated. I know the Wequetonsing sailing team go to the point every Thursday during their day camp in the summer for the residence and the lunch to bring is a Gurney's sandwich, a can of Vernor's Ginger Ale and a Tom's Mom's Cookie. They give you a pretty good selection of bread along with some great meat and fresh veggies along with a good variety of dressings. They even have their own type of sandwich specials that you wouldn't think would taste good. Once you have a sandwich from their you will forget Subway ever was a thing.
