Shanty Creek Resort - Summit Village

Love the location. Great place for a weekend getaway. Options to golf, snow tube or ski depending on the season. I had a balcony off the room which was delightful! I came here for a conference. The food wasn’t great for the conference but the rest of it was wonderful

Love this place!!! View is beautiful!! So many great pics, rooms clean and so comfy. All the staff encountered were kinds. So many amenities in room and on property. Great food on property and nearby.

I took my daughter for a day on the hills with her friends. There were lots of people taking advantage of the snow. It was a great day.

Stayed for 4 nights over Christmas New Year break 2022. Even though temps hovered around freezing, they did a good job keeping the slopes in reasonable shape for skiing. Love skiing here because it never feels crowded, wait times for lifts are always pretty short.
Rooms are nice and hotel is well kept. The one thing I'd like is if they could work on venting the gas fireplaces to the outdoors. I'm not a huge fan of carbon monoxide and it's a little silly to have to open the patio door if you want to run on the fireplace.

Had a great weekend of lodging and skiing. Whole family enjoyed the experience. I hadn’t been there in years and they have added many more facilities and updates. Schuss mountain was excellent Michigan skiing. Short’s Brewery in Bellaire was a great place for food and beer also

The rooms are always inviting and have beautiful views surrounding you. The Lakeview Hotel's jacuzzi suites are amazing!!! The tub is giant and centered in the room . Most rooms have a balcony. The bathrooms are very roomy and have nice showerheads. They also have in room full size coffee pots and mini refrigerators.

Very quaint little village resort. Great service and beautiful area.

The golf was great, do wish the Summit was in better shape, however The Legend, Cedar, Mountain and Hawk Eye where Fantastic. The bartenders were friendly and provided great service. Rooms were nice and comfortable. Would recommend going there.

Attended the Balloon Festival. Weather was perfect, balloons were colorful, and the atmosphere was definitely fun and exciting!

Been coming to Shany for years, both as a day passer & staying on sight. Great grooming, they do an excellent job on the terrain park, employees super friendly, the spread of the restaurants & hill keeps congestion down, and the other skiers are much more friendly & polite! Recently went to Boyne at peak time for $43 more per lift ticket. Though they have new fast lifts the wait in line was still pretty bad. Even at peak time at Shanty its never that congested. I'll be coming back to Shanty much more than Boyne.

Shanty Creek has always been a staple in my family life. It's a place I go to for family events like Easter, Mother's Day, Thanksgiving and other functions. Friendly staff as well as a quiet setting. None of the high energy crowd you get from other resorts. Here you can actually relax without feeling like you're being rushed. Sitting on a hill, you get a great view of Lake Bellaire as well as view the woods below. The lodge maybe old but it's charming with features you don't see anymore. The grounds are well kept and there is plenty to do all year round.

Really enjoyed our stay at this cozy inn! The only gripe I have is the short window of time you have for check ins. Overall we had a great stay here and the beds were cozy/rooms were clean!

We love this place. We always stay up there when we visit traverse City. The town of belleair is quite nice as well. Shorts brewery is always one of our stops. The hotel is very interesting it has decor from the late 70s which makes it very cool. Set a remind me of The shining one of my favorite movies. Very comfortable hotel give it a try.

The staff and owner are fantastic hosts. Plus the place feels cozy when listening to live music, like the Darrell Boger band and others. I like to kick back and enjoy the embiance.

The resort was overwhelmingly beautiful. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable and clean. The staff was exceedingly professional and always eager to assist. We will be going back as soon as possible!

We stayed in a King studio preferred view. The room was awesome with a very comfortable bed, huge jacuzzi, and cozy decor. Our view of Lake Bellaire and the northern MI hillside were absolutely beautiful everyday. We also had dinner at the Lakeview restaurant which was fantastic. Hope to come back sooner than later!
