This campground is the cleanest I have ever been to. The bathrooms are constantly kept up and the showers are great. The people who run this are two of the nicest people, very helpful ❤

The bad part is that the sites are very close together with little to no natural barrier, however this seems to make for a good experience because campers around us were so friendly, quiet and respectful, that I kind of enjoyed ir. The good part is it is so clean and well run. Their bathrooms have free showers that you can control the faucets like you would at home as do the sinks, you can also choose between 4 PRIVATE bathrooms with shower that you can lock and use for your own use. No pooping or showering with strangers. Decent toilet paper, fully stocked and immaculatly clean and free of bugs.
Firewood is cheap and well stlccked.
Lakefront sites with dock, green grass, babbling brook, no goose poop, flowers adorning quaint wooden bridges. We were totally impressed. Best campground I have ever been to. Highly reccomend to those willing to give up a little privacy to get a beautiful surrounding with great amenities and a clean, quiet unforgetable experience. Dog friendly, playground, sandy beach, clean lake, respectful campers and top notch management.

Great little campground, used in the off season so it wasn't too busy. Clean bathrooms(2 private/family ones also), hot showers, and very friendly.

Got locked out of my car at 2am In the rain, the assistant managers at site 12 were more than happy to help.

I would stay here again.

Our fave place to camp close to home.
Great lake, river, boating, swimming, fishing. Shopping, restaurants, bars....
Eagles and loons on the lake.
Nice, new bath house with privacy for those who want it.
Say HI! to Lyle, the park manager!!

Great place for kids swimming and plenty of playground equipment to play on bathrooms on site.

Thurston Park is a nice park in Central Lake Michigan. There's an unbelievably fun looking kids area, a little beach, a big picnic & a volleyball area for big groups.

It is located east of town on Old State road next to a camping area.

Found this place on a cold search for a quick 2 night stay before heading to the U.P. We weren't sure what to expect but glad we found this campground, it's very quaint and not too overcrowded! We were greeted by friendly campers and staff and the full hookup sites are nice! Expect lot spacing to be average like most other campgrounds and plenty of shade. We had a beautiful view from the our site over looking the campground and lake! The playground had a lot of options for kiddos and just a short walk down the hill and the corner store. There was a small beach area right next to the playground- water/sand shoes recommended! Very clean restrooms and shower houses too! There is a nearby neighborhood which cuts through to the Main Street with shopping etc. (5min walk) and nice paved roads to ride bikes with your little people! We will definitely be back, thank you for a great stay!!!

really nice campground on the water with stores nearby. The lower campground offers sites on the water while the upper campground offers a nice view.

Absolutely loved our stay here! Beautiful small campground that has everything you need to have a great experience.

The managers were absolutely amazing! I heard that there were some who were pretty loud and obnoxious very late in the night recently, but our experience was absolutely perfect! Very family friendly and pets too!

We booked a couple sites with family for next summer before our stay ended! Can't wait to go back!!!

I love the campground. It's less than a mile from my house. But I like it because it's on the water. I can camp and go to work from there. My son likes it because his friends can come and play and sometimes we have them stay a night. It's just a good all around place to stay.i highly recommend it.

Wonderful campground! Great place to bring the kiddos and such a great atmosphere. Great camp hosts that take pride in keeping this place clean and friendly. Bathrooms are best I've ever seen in cleanliness while camping across the country. Also has a very nice and very clean fish cleaning station.

This was a nice little campground that is very close to Torch Lake. The town is adorable! We loved the campground host! She was very nice and helpful, and even held a rock painting event for the kids. The only thing I would change, is that our site had a lot of dirt. I think a long term camper must have been there before us, because there was a large part of the site where the grass was dead and it was just dirt- which made it quite messy. Especially with kids. It would be nice if they had gravel down. Otherwise, it was great!

A small Beach and boat ramps. Has good playground with a variety of equipment. Campsites almost all have nice views of the lake but are small and not much privacy. Roads are paved. There are multiple large picnic pavilions. Public restrooms require a keypad code to get in.

This is a great little city campground. The manager is very friendly, dedicated and makes sure that your stay is the best it can be. It is really nice to have someone that dedicated to helping you out. This park sits on one of the lakes on The Chain of Lakes which is 65 miles long. They have a boat launch site. Clean bathrooms and wood is available on site. Both shady and sunny sites and they allow tents but can handle larger rigs. Town is 2 blocks away with food store, eateries and ice cream shop! Don't miss this little gem.

We come to Thurston Park Campground each year for a week long camping trip with the whole family! The rates are a great price. The bathrooms are always clean and we never have to wait in a line to use the shower. The lake front lots allow for great swimming and floating just feet from your fire pit. I would recommend this little gem to anyone looking to make wonderful camping memories!

A lovely RV park-- the grounds and facilities are immaculate. The setting is perfect for relaxing alongside the lake. This park is also located a short, walking block away from the town grocery, a homemade fudge and ice cream shop, a tavern (with good food) and a bakery/breakfast place.
