Shivering Timbers

A hidden gem in the Midwest. One ride on this and your trip to Michigan's Adventure will be made. That's if you can manage to walk away from this beast without wanting to hop back in line over and over, and over again.

The speed is unexpected for such a massive coaster. It can be rough, and depending if you get a green or blue car, your experience can change. Imo, front row is the best seat for this.

I've never ridden a coaster so many times in a row, this ride is just really special.

This is the ride that made the trip out to Muskegon worth it. Shivering Timbers. It's as simple as a wooden coaster gets. Big drop at the beginning, a series of straight airtime hills, a turnaround in the middle, and a series of smaller airtime hills on the way back, and a big helix at the end. It's a very simple but fun and effective design. Butter smooth, comfortable, and very fun. Plus it's a very pretty ride, and it's the first thing you see when you enter the parking lot. I'm glad I got to ride this and it made my day.

This is without question one of my favorite wooden roller coasters anywhere. The layout is simple: out and back, followed by a 630-degree helix (yes, you read that right). It offers fantastic airtime, and I love the look of the natural wood. It is the crown jewel of Michigan's Adventure and certainly makes a statement when you enter the parking lot -- you cannot miss it.

This is easily the signature attraction at Michigan’s Adventure, and one of the best wooden roller coasters in the world. This coaster alone is worth a trip to this park.

There’s so much airtime on this ride, and surprising laterals on both the far turn around and final helix.

Highly recommended for any fan of wooden coasters.

Shivering Timbers slaps. I make the 2 hour trip once / week solely for this rollercoaster. Please fix the remaing pothole in the second valley, and this ride will be top 5 for me. I can't possibly overstate how criminally underrated this rollercoaster is.

I love this coaster! Me and Shivering Timbers have a bond with each other💓💓roller coasters are people too even though they are just roller coasters. And it's scary too but so fun.

Back seat is the best. You get to feel the drop speed increase much faster than the front seat.

It’s a solid coaster, great airtime. A little rough but I haven’t ridden it since the retrack, so it could be smoother.

I just love this coaster and I love how on the turn around coming back towards the station that you don’t know what’s gonna happen next and you don’t even see the drop coming! Even in the front row!

Not as exciting as season 4 of breaking bad. But i got shivers for sure. (And back pain)

Shivering Timbers is such a babe, can't wait to ride it again.

The star attraction at my home park and possibly what also makes the trip to MA worth it! :)
