Eastern Palace Club

Walking in the door here I immediately felt like I had been transported back to when I had just gotten off a cruise ship in Key West! From the huge ocean screen, to the individual tiki huts set up indoors with couch loungers and island decor, this place is truly an island its own in the midst of a michigan winter! I legit felt like I was on vacation for the short time I was here. They have free play old school arcade games including Galaga, Ms. Pac-Man, Skee Ball, pinball and even a pool table. It’s mostly just a bar, but I actually came here for the bbq, which was under a different business name on google, so the only hiccup really was trying to find Blue Nile bbq which is actually inside the bar. The smoked bbq was my second favorite in Michigan, which is amazing btw because I’m super picky about my bbq. They had fall off the bone ribs and tasty brisket. The staff were all super chill and super friendly. We felt right at home and very welcome here. The weird part is, the name of the place does not match the vibe here. I have a feeling a change in name and some lights outdoors to highlight the Caribbean vibe with outdoor decor would bring a heavy crowd here. For now, however, this is another diamond in the rough!

Didn't eat anything here. Had drinks. Was instantly welcomed by gorgeous setting and colorful digital vibes and walked into what felt like an escape to paradise. Servers are attentive and wonderful, and sitting at a table and then the bar were both pleasant experiences. The place feels like you are Palm Beach or California and has so much to look at and enjoy. It's endless. The bathrooms we're clean and roomy. At the bar, they gave out Hazel Park postcards to write on, and they put them up around the bar. Fun! Really, there are just so many fun choices as per seating, outdoor area to chill, and indoors, laid out with cute separate areas, all with a different feel. Would definitely come back here again and again. Closed at 12 on a Friday night, 2 hours before what was listed on the Google information page. Be aware of this if you plan to bar hop or come in after 11. Wonderful place to come alone, with friends or in a group. Spacious.

This bar is fantastic. It’s very welcoming and cozy. The food and the drinks are awesome. The Always Sunny Pop-Up is so fun.

First time tonight and wow we had so much fun! I love seeing a mix of all ages and types of people. This is a wholesome come as you are type place where lasting bonds are created. Thanks so much for creating this lovely environment. I never knew how much I needed a tiki dive bar in my life but this is the spot ♥

It called the Smoked Lotus BBQ......This is one of the coolest places... It's making me want to go to the Caribbean...😜🌴🤪🌴🌴...The bucket of Rum , Yes i said a bucket of Rum...was poured perfectly...(see pics) I had the brisket , Mac n cheese, collard Green..(had a little kick).. The potatoes were great.... I went and got 2nds. To take home.....Thank You Ashley for inviting me to L.J's ....36th birthday party..........Dustin is prefect management. Molly took great care of our whole party .......my only miss understanding was the separation of tickets. (Meal and drinks) Going to the window to order my food.... please explain it when people arrive . Other than that I have no complaints.....

Strong tiki drinks, tropical decor, delicious BBQ, and fun arcade games! This place has it all! The staff are extremely friendly and very passionate about what they do. Get the Rum Bucket, it has a delicious float of funky Rum Fire!

Great service, fun vibes with a tiki ambience. The mocktails were just as fresh as the craft cocktails.

I was looking for a new BBQ place. I ordered a carryout of the ribs and burnt ends. Not disappointed. The ribs fell off the bone and the tips were very tasty. Nice portions for the price. Looking forward to going back to try out the drinks.

Just had such a nice experience here. The staff was so nice, drinks were great, and the food from smoked lotus was delicious. Standouts were the gin skiff, the old fashioned and for food the potatoes and the ribs, but everything was good!

My new spot! Food is awesome, everything my hunny and I had was an A+....and that doesn't happen often. Drinks were great and the atmosphere was fun. We can't wait to go back and try something else.

Visited for the first time on karaoke night and had the very best time! The vibe is so fun and the food is great. I got a mocktail and it was delicious. I can’t wait to go back!

Eastern Palace Club is so much fun! The tiki decor is amazing and the staff is so wonderful. We came here after our wedding with a huge group in the summer and everyone loved it so much. The drinks are SO GOOD.

Best bar in Hazel Park, really good Vegan BBQ, apparently really good normal smoked Barbeque as well.

You have to check EPC out! It’s truly a hidden gem in metro Detroit. The drinks are awesome (I got the grouper and margarita). Lots of beer, wine and mocktail options too.

The ambiance was tropical vibes and I felt like I was in Key West. I can’t wait to go back!

We decided to hit this place on a chill night, perfect for me because I'm not a fan of crowds. The drinks reminded me of Willy Wonka, you know, the one where the gum tastes exactly like a blueberry pie? Well, the Key Lime Cruiser (alcohol drink) tasted JUST like a key lime pie. It brought me back to my childhood when my neighbor used to whip up a key lime pie for my birthday every year.

The vibe was all kinds of fun and playful, the food was like a flavor explosion, and the staff was attentive without being overbearing. Can't wait to dive back into there!

Stopped here after the Wings game on New Year's Eve. Fun place. Bbq brisket was tender but could use some smoke. Greens were excellent as was the Pina Colada from the Tiki bar. Service was on point. We left before NYE celebration went full on but looked like fun with decorations and music. Will definitely stop in again.

Such a hospitable spot! And my goodness, the chicken tenders are the best I’ve ever had.

Just WOW! What can I say?? We planned a 50th birthday celebration for my husband this passed Friday 12/08/23. I can’t say enough how awesome Michael, Dustin, James, & Erik were in the process of creating this celebration! The food from Smoked Lotus was PHENOMENAL, the service was ALSO PHENOMENAL.. We were able to bring in a Photo Booth and utilize the cabanas which just gave it the tiki bar vibe we were looking for! The atmosphere and vibe is A+++ for parties or get together! They brought in a DJ Sharknado and he was fricken awesome! We’ll be back for sure!

P.S. sorry if Danny Devito and Benny had a hangover the next day from too much partying with the girls.. lol
