The Otter

We found our happy spot to lay our head for the night. Comfortable beds, easy to find. We will be back as we come thru quite often to pick up boats at New York Mills. Next time we will take advantage of their bar & dining. Easy check in/out.

Got a quick lunch with friends. Burger was juicy. Sweet Potato Fries you just couldn't resist. Didn't stay in the hotel , just ate in the bar/restaurant. Our waiter was fabulous 👌

Everything from the checkin to leaving was great. The food was great, try the walleye tacos.

We stayed at the lodge attached to the restaurant. Our room was adorable, clean and basic, just what you need for a weekend trip to the lake. Restaurant was busy and upbeat atmosphere.

Very easy to make reservation. Check in and check out trouble-free. Room was clean and convenient. Great place to stay.

We had a delicious supper last Saturday and enjoyed the horse races! So much fun! Excellent service! Our waiter, Brayden, did an outstanding job with our large table! Highly recommend the Otter Supper Club!!

I was just there for a couple of days of fishing . The location is perfect with Ottertail lake being right across the street . JJ and Chris along with the rest of the staff are very friendly and accommodating , friendly locals too. I would definitely stay there again . Everything was clean and looks like they are making further improvements. I look forward to going back next year.

The lodge is just as described, if not better. Super clean, large room. Great bed, pillows, perfect air conditioning and nice big shower, microwave and small fridge and tv with lots of opinions and I was able to reserve to bring my pet with, very easy. There is an app to check in which seems like a great system, except I didn't see anything stating that my room had physical keys to pick up vs the code that the app kept saying was emailed. After waiting for the email to come through and figure it out, I ran over to the bar and the bartender was able to look it up quickly and gave me the keys. Ventured down to the supper club/bar for dinner. Great food, and quick service. Music on the patio during the afternoon was great. Overall a great experience, would 100% stay again.

Room was simple, clean and affordable. Easy check in and out. Dining quality and service was outstanding. We are looking forward to our next visit!

So me and my kids went to dinner with my sister and her family, so a party of 9. We were welcomed and sat right away. Our server was hands down the best. He was just amazing. The food was served fast and was fantastic. We will be back.

This place has a lot of character and cool decor. Very open and welcoming atmosphere. Bloody Mary's were very good and the Walleye tacos were great!!

The Other was very nice. We seated immediately. The tables were beautifully finished. The service was prompt, friendly, accurate. We had a table of 6 with 4 separate checks and nothing was incorrect. The food was delicious drink a were great. Good Bloody Mary(always gotta try those)! We will visit again soon!

Our family ate at the Otter this past Saturday evening (opening fishing weekend). The restaurant was very busy but the service was excellent and the food delicious! We had a wonderful time. Thank you so much!

What an awesome experience. Lovely , lively staff makes a meal more of a moment. Would love to go back with the same staff. Sangria with a kick woohoo! Bartender is a hoot.

We've only been to the supper-club - not the lodge. It's a fun spot to visit when up in the Ottertail County area. We have visited several times while visiting friends on nearby lakes over the Summer. Typically it's been on a Friday evening. That's meat raffle night! There you go - take a chance and perhaps you'll walk away with a package of steaks. ...sadly we didn't. However, we've had wonderful meals with staff that is attentive, friendly, pleasing; and very helpful. If you really feel luck you can buy pulltabs. When you're Up North at the Lake, and don't feel like cooking - let the folks at the Otter do it - and you enjoy your time.

Fast service, amazing food

Wednesday night live music by Darren Quam was great and we enjoyed our dinners. Walleye tacos were fabulous and with rhubarb flavored beer.
