Thumper Pond Resort

Rooms are still Meh for the price - we stayed here for a night and the beds are Hard. Come on new Texas owner- put pads on your mattresses everywhere you stay has them these days……. We requested a room near elevator due to being on crutches- nope furthest away…. We were told only 20 rooms were booked that night & due to low staffing and new ownership; moral & employees are low! What!?
Willy Ts. Oh no drink prices were raised -we get inflation…. But hey Mr New Rich Texas Owner this area is all about competition in pricing as its Not Brainerd -not Minnetonka. So you will lose customers this summer to Beach Bums etc…who have excellent music And deals All the time!, and also to the breweries in towns!
Staff is excellent -what there is left….. Mr Texas treat them All great they can work at many of the resorts all around here!
Gal at check in very nice! Jeff at bar amazing & funny!, waitresses all great! So please don’t ruin Thumper Pond!
Great menu food & staff. Rooms need renovating! Golf is amazing but scared to see what the prices will be- Balmoral, lakes, whitetail, others you may get more customers if this new owner raises the v pricing Anymore than the past ones did.🙏🏼😓

We went there for Christmas Eve dinner. Great service, attentive waitress. If you're a beer snob this place isn't for you. There's a pool table and a music hub.

I played the golf course at the Thumper Pond Resort. Really a great course with a nice mix of holes including one of the toughest par 5’s I have ever played. Greens and fairways were in excellent shape-the tee boxes need some attention. Stopped by the bar for a drink, great atmosphere. I will play there again.

Great place everyone helps so much.A safe place for young ones to have fun.The hours r also real good.

Came for a birthday party and had a great experience. Wonderful pizza and drinks and service was amazing 👏

Happened to have a business meeting in one of the conference rooms on the second level. The food that was catered for lunch was nice and simple. The location looked like they had a kid pool and could potentially be a visit for family in the future.

We attended their Thanksgiving Buffet! Excellent food and service!!

Great golf course, we'll maintained. Good food. Clean rooms. Definitely a great place!

We met there with our adult kids and their kids for an overnight stay and play!! The pools and water slides were a big hit!! We all met at the restaurant for supper and all enjoyed some great dining!!!! 👍 Overall it was a wonderful place to meet 😊!!!!!

We just had our wedding at Thumper Pond Resort. I cannot say thank you enough for our special day! Lori was very responsive and easy to work with throughout the process. She made sure every detail met our expectations and was incredibly flexible to make sure we had the perfect day. Even with minor snags during the planning process and the day of. Lori and the staff were nothing but kind and understanding. The ceremony and reception spaces were beautiful. The food at our tasting and the reception was delicious and the staff at the wedding were helpful and kind. I would definitely recommend Thumper Pond to anyone planning a wedding!

The lady in charge of the water slides come Sunday morning was great! Made sure it was turned on so the kids could enjoy it before checkout.

Our daughter and her new husband had their wedding reception there last weekend and it was an awesome time! Nice venue, amazing food (MANY comments from our guests on how good the dinner was, saying it was the BEST dinner they have ever had at a wedding), VERY HELPFUL staff and EXCELLENT servers!! The event coordinator, Lori, was VERY nice to work with. Such a beautiful setting for wedding pictures! Many of our guests stayed at the motel or campground and were very pleased. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend. Thank you, Thumper Pond and Willy T's, for a wonderful weekend!

The hotel has a great charm to it. The staff is incredibly helpful. Jamie Smith, the Assistant Guest Service Manager, went above and beyond to assist me. The room was cleaned and everything worked as it should.

Generous RV sites are easily twice the size of a typical RV park, felt more like a state park. Sites are level and hookups are easy. Natural area behind back in sites. Nice breeze kept the bugs to a minimum most of the time. It's great that pool/ water slide use is included in the stay. Highly recommend!

Booked their romantic suite package. VERY happy with the room, the property and the outstanding service at every level. Room service brought chocolate covered strawberries and sparking wine. The lounge has great food and drinks. The steak was fantastic. The waitress even played 'Can't help falling in love' by Elvis at my request so my wife and I could slow dance! I can't wait to come back and bring the kids next time when their new water park is remodeled this summer. Our suite also had a great view of the golf course. Fun, fun staff. We're having a great time. A perfect answer to a well needed break for my wife and I.

This place was awesome! My family had an away weekend camping near there and we went for supper and a swim and great service. The pool was great with slides and fountains. Us guys spent the time carousing at the in-house bar and the wives and kids joined us after for great appetizers and family chats. Cheap drinks, great food. Get the haystack onion rings you won't regret it!

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. They accommodated us with 2 adjoining rooms. Both were very clean with beautiful views of the golf course. We were there for 1 night and did not use the water Park.

This place is great! The rooms were very clean and large. We had extra room and then some. The kids were able to run and play even in the room. The waterpark is awesome! It is in perfect shape and very fun. The kids didn't want to stop going down the slides. It is a laid back and relaxing environment. It is nice that there is a restaurant there but it is just okay. Regards less I would highly recommend a visit here!

BEWARE.. No breakfast and the one there is very costly. Eggs, bacon, sausage, muffin, cereal and juice for 30 dollars for each person. We thought it was free until we went to leave and we got the bill. 60 dollars is a lot of money....never again.

We have stayed at Thumper Pond 2 times now my kids love it and we have had a great time while we were here. The rooms are good size and the staff is very nice as well. The only thing next time we go I will bring water shoes for my kids the floor in the water park is SUPER slippery. Remind your kids to walk not RUN!!! Other than that it’s a fun place to have a nice family getaway weekend.
