Kelly's Roast Beef

This place has always been amazing. Stopped in for lunch the other day and went with the large 3 way, sandwich was so good! Fries and Onion rings were great as well. I’d probably skip the chicken fingers. Not great but the roast beef sandwich was incredible as always!

The food was fantastic and the place was super clean.

My only eh negative(?) I would say is as someone who has not been there for over 5 years, it would have been nice to have a list of available toppings for the sandwich.

Other than that, no complaints!

A staple of Route 1, Kelly’s Roast Beef always hits the spot. Delicious roast beef sandwiches that will fill you up and tasty fries. The atmosphere is welcoming, with perhaps the most expansive fish tank north of the New England aquarium.

The surf and turf was a good value, considering the amount and quality of the food. The roast beef was outstanding, and the lobster roll was good. I found it a bit lacking for my taste but I wasn't sorry I ordered it, and yes, I ate it all.

Clam rolls are EXCELLENT!!! You definitely get your munch for the buck. Overstuffed New England style buttered hot dog roll with fries and onion rings. Restaurant is very clean and spacious if you are concerned about social distancing. Restrooms are always clean as well.. Many choices on the menu varying from roast beef sandwiches of course to fried seafood of different varieties, to hamburgers and hotdogs if so for the kids. Definitely recommended for travelers visiting or and locals.

I grew up eating at Kelly's on Revere Beach, but moved away from MA in the late 70s. While recently visiting relatives on the North Shore we visited the Peabody location an had a clam plate and chowder that was as delicious as I had remembered it.

Why 4-stars for service? The counter staff was wonderful...helpful and friendly. The rest of the customer-facing staff seemed to be sad and wishing they weren't there.

Kelly's has been franchising around the country and I hope they will one day come to Fredericksburg, VA!!!

Been going to Kelly's for years. Today we went thru the drive-thru. We were offered a complimentary cup of chowder because a sandwich was taking longer than expected (we didn't find the wait long) My husband said no to the chowder even though he wanted it. The employee asked if he was sure so then he said yes to the chowder. Shout out to the employee for asking twice. Fried chicken sandwich was great. Caesar wrap was cold, crunchy, and well dressed.

I love this place but it's the 4th time asking and paying for pickles on the side and don't get them. It makes the meal better.

Still the best roast beef sandwich around. Everything was fresh and brought right to my table. A small sandwich is enough for a meal, and I love their BBQ sauce.

Just picked up their Ruben sandwich which is one of the best I've had so whenever I'm in the area I stop by for that or their fish and chips. Fresh fish always!

Great place to have a hot soup or even more. Clean Restrooms, clean place, great service and a superb environment. I loved the Drinks Station. Highly recommended for family or friends gathering, low music so you may have a great conversation.

This place is our first stop coming into town from California. Scallop plate and fish plate are generous, fresh, and delish. The onion rings and French fries are wonderful too. Get extra tartar & lemon. So good! We love the fish tanks and decore. Plenty of parking. Place your order at the counter, get a number, they bring it to your table. Hot and tasty. Couldn't finish.

Kelly's Roast Beef is an institution. While I grew up eating at the one on Revere Beach, the one in Saugus how's the same great food - Roast beef that melts-in-your-mouth
and crispy fried seafood in more than generous amounts. A great value; a great meal.

The roast beef sandwich is great, as are the French fries! A very fair price for something better than fast food!

Super delicious as always! If you’re not getting the three way then something is wrong with you! They always seemed short staff and the drive thru line might be long but you’re all doing great!

Expensive for what it is but reminds me of my childhood. I went thru the drive thru and the large roast beef was plentiful and quality. Always a happy eat!!

Great clam chowder. Needed a place to get into and out of quickly. Order at counter and they bring your food to you.

A North Shore icon! Sure, there may be better places to get a beef these days, but you gotta put some respect on the originator! Their other menu items are fantastic, I recommend the burger!
