Trader John's Gun Shop

Not only have I shopped with Trader Johns since I was old enough to buy guns, I knew John since I was a young kid! We became great friends over the years and I mourn his loss all the time. Spent many hours just hanging around talking. I can't see this family not carrying on the storied tradition.

Nick has always delivered on getting me what I want. I tend to have an obscure taste in stuff, whether it's older items or new stuff that is hard to find. I ask him to keep an eye out for something and I always get it. Always fair on price and I never leave feeling slighted.

I’m new to New Hampshire and asked Nick a lot of questions about hunting and New Hampshire game laws, he was very patient and courteous. I showed up with 6 others and they all were impressed and complimented the store and Nick and all including myself purchases items.

Old school gun shop with taxidermy strewn amongst the guns. My kinda place! I stop almost every time I am traveling by. 👍🏻👍🏻

I think the negative reviews about this shop are from times past. My experiences recently at this shop have been very good. The owner is also a volunteer firefighter so he can't be in the shop and out on a call at the same time .. I suggest stopping in take a look around.

Very nice shop, been there a few times over the years.
John Corliss is extremely knowledgeable about the industry and it was a pleasure doing business with him.
He will take the time to talk with you if you know what your talking about.

John is not very sociable with strangers. If you are a serious customer and not an idiot he is good to deal with. Go in, be direct and polite and bring your money. I have had good business with him.
Awesome selection of firearms, ammo, et cetera.

John is a good guy, has always been very helpful, nice inventory, have been in many times over the years. I especially enjoy looking at his desk, with all the pictures of his customers who got a deer.

I thought he was nice straightforward.. simple. Asked what I needed I mentioned 3 or 4 things he was walking around-pointed them out.. left me to it. I asked a couple questions, he answered. Went great.

Nice to read that John is still alive and kicking ass. My friend, Art, introduced me to John in 1980. I bought my 12 guage, .41 mag, and .22 J-frame plinker from him in '80, or '81. We spent many Sundays shooting trap and knocking down steel silhouettes behind his place. I haven't been there since '84. Thanks, John. Be well and don't suffer fools gladly... Chuck Miller
