Gratitude Cafe & Bakery

The best bakery in all the land. My mom and I especially love the savory pastries and soups, but almost every other item we've tried has been delicious, too. Five stars for top-notch baked goods, and another five stars for the loveliest baker and owner, Kat. 💖

Been there twice, first time was getting kid-oriented options (cookies, pop tart, cinnamon roll). Second time was scones for the adults. Both times were equally amazing. Delicious baked goods, love the cozy/neighborhood vibes, the owner seems to know everyone who comes in. New favorite Saturday morning spot!

We hired Gratitude for our wedding! And let me tell you first hand, BEST. DECISION. EVER.

Kat is such an amazing person with a warm and welcoming energy, and was such a joy to work with. We came in with just some ideas and she made it happen!!

We ordered several dozen cupcakes which included funfetti, chocolate covered strawberry, snickerdoodle, and carrot. For most people the dessert is just part of the day and you have a little slice of cake and move on, but Kat made the dessert an experience and talking point of all of our guests. I had several people coming up to me throughout the night RAVING about whatever flavor they tried most recently. And other people joining in on splitting a flavor they hadn’t had since they had already eaten 3 and “If I eat a whole other one I’m going to explode”. My personal favorites were the snickerdoodle, and chocolate covered strawberry!!!

She even made all of this happen on our wedding which is a Saturday, and the only day she currently has the bakery open. These people ROCK!! Many thanks to Kat and team for making our wedding, and cupcakes something worth remembering forever ❤

One the most caring, thoughtful, and talented bakers owns this little gem on the corner. Her case of goodies is full of tasty treats including scones, cakes, cinnamon rolls, tarts, cookies, brownies, etc. If you're lucky enough to join in on one the live music nights, you can also choose from the daily vegetarian specials on her board....last night was lasagna with greens for me and lentil soup with the best focaccia bread for my hubby. Don't hesitate to order the pie ala mode...it is AWESOME! Wines and other alcoholic beverages are available along with sodas, teas and coffee. We always feel so welcome and appreciate the hospitality we enjoy here.

Kat was very accommodating to let me pick up my cake order after her usual business hours. OMG her Kitchen Sink Carrot Cake is big, tall, beautiful and delicious! I've been wanting a carrot cake with carrot, nuts, spices, coconut in every bite, and this is IT! I will definitely come back for my future cake orders. Thanks Kat!

Absolute best bakery in Lincoln. It's a nice little hidden gem. Not only are the deserts some of the best I've had anywhere, the owner is one of the nicest people. She takes the time to strike up converations with each of her customers as they come to the counter. She has an excellent variety of treats, and even some vegan options. Best scones and puppy chow hands down. I've recently lost almost 150 pounds, and once a month I allow myself a free day to treat myself somewhere. This place has been my go to spot the last two months and worth every calorie. I'm very selective about where I go on these days, so that says a lot about this little bakery. I plan on visiting many times in the future for sure!

Kat is simply amazing & the pastries in the case can vouch! The absolute best carrot Bundt cake I’ve ever had. The fact that she takes the time to learn each one of her customers names & take interest in their lives is so heart warming. Only open on Saturday’s & get there early to get one of the pop tarts!!!

Kat is amazing. Her homemade cakes are delicious and made with so much love. We have ordered so much from her that we cannot celebrate an event without one of her cakes. We recommend the chocolate peanut butter and also a custom raspberry white chocolate.

Another 5 star review for Gratitude Cafe & Bakery. Once again Kat has created something unique and flavorful. I put her to the task with a key lime cake. Mentioned my obsession with key lime and all things tart. This three layer cake had just the right amount of everything. The frosting was more tart than sweet with beautiful flecks of zest. But the surprise was the key lime pie filling that she incorporated into the center of the cake. So mad at myself for not taking a picture; it was beautiful. But this cake didn't just look good it was delicious. It followed our Easter dinner and everyone was wowed. It was the star of our meal. I've said it before and will say it again... what are you waiting for!! If you haven't tried Kat's baked treats you will not be disappointed. P.s. If you like chocolate chip cookies I strongly suggest you give her vegan version a taste. They are my new favorite cookie. And, if you don't like chocolate chip cookies I challenge you to eat one of these and not say, 'oh, so that's how the cookie is suppose to taste' and order a dozen.

I went through this morning for the first time and I am in awe. The brown sugar cinnamon Pop tart was everything I could’ve ever wanted! I got two different kinds of cinnamon rolls and they were both wonderful! I have been looking for these cinnamon rolls for years now and have finally found them! So so so good.
I had never had Babka before but the chocolate Babka was really great. Admittedly, I have not tried the brownie or the cookies yet because I am on sugar overload but I am anticipating they will be as amazing as everything else.
Based on the pop tart alone I am officially going to be a regular.

While searching for somewhere to get a birthday cake for my one-year-old daughter, I found this gem of a bakery -- and the incomparable Kat. I came away with not only a birthday cake (...and then an anniversary cake...and then MY birthday cake...and lots of everyday treats) but a new friend. Kat truly cares about her customers as much as she does her craft (if not more) and it shows. Wait in line for the weekly stock-up and you'll notice she greets every customer by name, and knows the goings-on in our lives. And the baked goods -- oh man. Absolutely to die for. I'm so, so glad to have found this amazing little shop around the corner!

I recently special ordered a pineapple upside down cake and my family was quite impressed - it was just the right level of sweet & fruity, moist & dense, and quite lovely when set upon the table. Their regular menu items are quite good as well!

The best bakery I have ever been to and love everything I try (which is a lot). The selection is so unique and changes a bit every week so it is impossible to decide every time. And Kat is so SO kind and welcoming it makes you want to go back even more!

I actually haven't been in the store, so I can't comment on that, but I have enjoyed many delicious treats co-workers have picked up. Scones, lemon-thingy, etc. etc. and they have all been exceptional. I've enjoyed many delicious treats, but Gratitude goes above and beyond. There is good baking, but then there are bakers that have that little extra talent that makes it just right. They have the flavors balanced perfectly, the recipe is just right, it's not too this or too that, baked the right amount of time... they have that extra touch of baking magic (a sense or an intuition) like your grandma used to do. I enjoy Gratitude very much, because it goes above and beyond to be just exquisitely exceptional. I find myself disappointed about half the time at other bakeries, but pleased the vast majority of the time with Gratitude.

Great baked goods. Met my husband here. Got married here too. Kat the owner is the best. People come for great food,keep returning to visit with Kat.

We have been going to see Kat for a while now, and she never disappoints. She makes a special keto cake that my wife loves. The last few times, I have contacted her with such little notice, and she has always came through for us. I will never go anywhere else! Thanks Kat!!

I special ordered a dozen poppyseed kolaches for my husband's birthday. The customer service was amazing! Kat had them freshly baked and still warm. She was even kind enough to put a ribbon on the box. The customer service was wonderful and kolaches were delicious!!

Try the apple pie! My father LOVED apple pie, so for his Celebration of Life, a close friend brought an apple pie from Gratitude Bakery.. it was WONDERFUL! Everyone loved it!! My only regret is how far I live away from Gratitude..because I want to try everything they have! Looks like a road trip is in order : ) Thank you for great pie!

2 Strawberry Rhubarb Tarts

2 Apple Pear Tarts.

The only complaint was Angela thought the Straw/ Rhubarb was too tart. Sarina and I LOVED it.

Sarina and I will be back for ALLLLLLLLL of them again.

Sarina's favorite was the Plum Tart. It had a taste of cinnamon, in a lemon cake. She says it was to die for.

Bella doesn't really ever eat sweets. She gobbled the Caramel Walnut. It was hand made Caramel. OH MY GOSH.

The Apple/ Pear was HEAVENLY.

The only one not tried was the Crumb Cinnamon. Review on that one tomorrow.

It is a bit pricey. Each Tart and Roll were $3.95.

HOWEVER, you can tell the time and quality of her work.
They are not small sizes by any stretch of the imagination. We each got to try them.

We WILL be going back, like I said. I felt much better about spending my money in a small shop for treats today, then spending it at a big store who doesn't care.
