Lovely bakery with great pastries and quiches. They had 11 quiche varieties available one morning this week, maybe every day? the tiramisu looks amazing too. We had some croissants and donuts and the like and everyone was happy.

The quiches and pastries are really good here. A lot of people seem to like to work from here during the weekday, but I usually get takeout. Saw some reviews here mentioning lines, but if you go outside of commuter rush hour I've never had a long line.

We came in on Sunday ~1150am, apparently just after their weekend morning rush and dined in. Service was friendly and helpful (thanks Millie!).

Salmon brioche was fantastic! 100% would order again. Eggs were cooked nicely.

I'm eyeing the quiche for my next visit!

I appreciated the chocolate mousse, the right consistency (though my preference is a slightly darker chocolate).

Very happy to see more small businesses like this in JC area!

Lovely French cafe, lovely helpful staff, and the biggest selection of quiches and tarts I’ve seen in Jersey City yet!

Good prices, great seating, sunny, spacious, ample outlets, great drink options as well and of course some beyond buttery and delicious croissants and pastries
😋
I had a whole dine in lunch for under $20.
I enjoyed their hit or miss salmon goat cheese quiche w/ optional combo of side🥗 that had their own yummy Dijon dressing plus a perfect temperature whole milk cappuccino.
🥐
Spent another $15 on 5 pastries to go.
🥐
So a whole savory, sweet and caffeinated enriching experience for under $40 with tip.

*Always tip y’all! They work hard and we’re so helpful with all my questions.

#StayHungryFilledINSPIRED easily @CafeMadelaine 😋💚🥐

I just finished the Raclette sandwich and it was by far one of the best sandwiches I have ever ate. I had to instantly stop and write a review. I have been to this cafe to get some work done and every time I've been here it is amazing. I am an absolute coffee snob and I feel like they are such great quality, the food is excellent, and the workers are warm and inviting! The seating is great and comfortable. Plus it kind of feels like someone's home which is incredible! A must visit spot and a truly hidden gem!

Newish small, homey patisserie in Jersey City Downtown, short walking distance from Grove Street Path Station and Grove Street pedestrian plaza. Service was fast and friendly. I've had a taste of floureselss chocolate cake and panna cotta with raspberries, both were quite good. However, flourselss chocolate cake left me thiniking that I'd prefer it to have a certain degree of moisture in the middle. Thumbs up 👍

I love their quiches, they are so satisfying and delicious. The croissants are also among of the best I’ve had outside Paris. Try the bacon egg and cheese croissant! The pistachio one is also fantastic, and you can’t go wrong with an original.

Quaint coffee shop with plenty of seating space. They have lunch and breakfast options, coffee and tea, and dessert. Plus they have free WiFi! Their cold brew was very good black!

Update: The Le Tuna is delicious! I got it to go!

Firstly, the service, specifically from Millie, was brilliant. I also found this place to be 5/5 value for money which ultimately leads me to rank the restaurant 5/5 overall despite a couple of minor areas for improvement :)

I requested a flat white coffee, which I appreciate isn't common-place in the US, but it was poured with a little too much milk.

My croque monsieur lacked a little je ne sais quoi, but the side salade was delicious both in terms of the ingredients and especially the lovely vinaigrette.

The desserts were lovely and left me wanting to come back and try more. The Tarte aux amandes was deliciously moist and delicate in flavour, the mousse had a lovely weight but was a bit light in flavour.

Overall I'd definitely come back and have my eyes on the tartelette au citron.

I appreciate this is an incredibly detailed review for a quick lunch at a café... As a Frenchman this place immediately fired my imagination, and largely, did not disappoint. Will be back again!

PS: I think a photo of Johnny Hallyday would be fantastic for the walls :D We must remember our fallen heroes!!

Excellent place to work, chill, or meet friends... Not that I have any to meet. The WiFi is pretty solid. Plenty of seating and just overall a pleasant atmosphere. The music isn't overbearing but you also know it's there. There is a large window and close to Grove Street so lots of good people watching too.

What? The food? Oh right... I ordered a ham and swiss quiche and it was delicious, very creamy and warm. Coffee was great as well. The owner? Head chef? Both? She is awesome and has an authentic French accent so you're like, this is a French cafe. All of the staff is\are super friendly.

Cafe Madelaine was a very cute spot! Loved the interior space.

My fiancé and I went this past Saturday and each had a tiramisu, and we split a violet cassis-flavored macaron. The tiramisu was chilled, which tasted wonderful. And the violet cassis macaron was one of the best macarons that I’ve tasted.

I regret not having time to also have a coffee. It probably would have been amazing.

I can’t wait to return!

We got their chocolate jumelle, almond and raspberry croissant, spinach and feta croissant and leek + parm croissant. They were all really good. My personal fave was the almond + rasp croissant and spinach + feta croissant.

Food is delicious and I will go back, but I didn’t love how one of the workers treated new staff. I thought I’d ordered a large, but was charged for a small. The new guy who took my order taped it up. No one filled it so I asked and she stated getting me a small and she was too busy correcting the guy to read my order properly and put milk and sugar. I didn’t realize it had no sugar until it was cool enough to drink. My point is everyone makes so be nice to your new guy!
