This place is super cute and cozy. Staff was very friendly and had awesome chill music. The vibes were very relaxed and the food made my mouth water before I even took a bite. HIGHLY recommend in you are in the area. ☺

I took my family here for breakfast today, and the food was so good! We had two savory stacks, a breakfast sandwich with bacon, and a side of spam. The pancakes were some of the best I've ever had, just a tiny bit crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside. The bacon was thick-cut and delicious. The vietnamese coffee was strong. I had hesitated to come to this place for a while because the reviews on here are so mixed, but I'm glad we decided to give it a try. The food was fantastic!

A cute little cafe with some outdoor seating available. The menu is small, but they do offer some gluten free and vegan options. The food and drinks we ordered were all good.

Really good place. Small cafe, small menu, small portions, but I have to endorse the focus on quality. Everything from the bread to the sauce on the green eggs and spam even the coffee, and I will say I think these are the best pancakes in JC. Wish there was more selection, but until then...

Has a very hole-in-the-wall feel with a small, delicious menu. The avocado toast is amazing, especially with an egg on top. I also recommend the hotcakes. I haven't had the boba, but the coffee is good. Great little cafe!

Five stars for the owner and his team at Short Grain! The avocado toast was beyond amazing—perfectly ripe avocado on just-right toast. Outstanding service and a warm atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Tasty! My avo toast was gorgeous and so good. My friend got the hotcakes and they were also beautifully plated.

I absolutely love short grain. It is a small, no frills cafe with a good amount of outdoor seating. You can order at the counter to go or they will bring your food out to you wherever you are sitting. The food is so delicious and the baristas are amazing. I always order a mocha and they (usually) mix in the mocha with the espresso shot before adding it to the milk/ ice, which is a really nice touch. Everyone has been so nice and this is definitely one of my go tos. Great reward system as well that you can track on the cashapp (I don’t use this for everyday stuff) but it is apparently where a lot of cafes/ etc. keep their rewards so food for thought!

I got French Toast and egg whites It was very good the syrup was excellent. Nice little place to go to. Food kinda taste homemade. I would recommend. I also got a hot chocolate which was decent! My friend ordered a short stack of pancakes and they were good as well.

Coffee was delicious. Kuddos to the Barista. She was at the counter and making GOOD!! coffee at the same time. Hard to find in the area.

This place feels like a hidden gem though theres always people coming and going when we're there, so not sure how hidden it is. Absolutely love the lemon ricotta pancakes and ricotta toast!

This is a great place to grab a quick bite to eat. The Vietnamese iced coffee has a good kick to it although it is a bit on the sweeter side. I've tried mostly everything on their menu and they all taste great depending on what you're feeling. The roast beef sandwich is delicious. Try substituting it in an onion pocket and mayo if you don't like horseradish.

Their lemon ricotta pancakes are so good. Paired with a Vietnamese cold brew coffee, HEAVEN!!! Try their warm bowls with vermicelli noodles and extra sauce. You can’t go wrong

This place has great coffee and good sandwiches. The espresso is really dialed in and tasty. Definitely above average espresso bar for the neighborhood, in line with something like Hidden Grounds. They also have some sandwiches and a kitchen in the back, particularly liked the pork belly. If you’re looking for a cafe lunch or morning coffee, and don’t need a full service sit down kind of place, this is a good stop. I go frequently now that I’ve discovered it.

Delicious food and even better coffee with friendly service. Cute outdoor space for dining as well.

Delicious as always! One of my favorite brunch store in Downtown JC. I love their Egg and Spam. It’s definitely a must try. Eggs are cooked so well and ham was amazing. They also have other menus worthwhile exploring. The amount of food is moderate - healthy for you.

Definitely one of my favorite take out/delivery place in JC for Asian food. Food is well-prepared, high quality, and always delicious. Too bad this restaurant does not make Pho because I would eat there every day just for that.
