Beechwood Cafe

As a vegetarian it is hard to find a good Veggie Burger. This place has it, and it is hands down one of the best ones I have had. Also the fries that they offer on the side are so crispy outside and soft inside that they taste so good. Also the different varieties of coffee they offer, they have amazing flavors. Honestly if you are looking for a good Coffee place to sit down and relax, do visit this one.

Cool place to grab breakfast! Food was excellent, service was great and the atmosphere is nice. We had breakfast here on a weekday morning at about 8:30 and it was not busy at the time.

I have the mixed berry pancakes and they were great. The compote is very flavorful and not overly sweet, and the maple syrup reminded me of caramel. It was delightful! My wife had the Santa Fe burrito and she enjoyed it - lots of flavor and good portion size.

I'd go back without even thinking twice - great stop!

Update: Visited for brunch and sat outdoors - ordered the French Toast (fantastic taste and presentation, exceptionally soft with custard on the inside), the Southern Pepper Egg Croissant (very good dish, soft and tasty), California omelette (good, but could have had more flavor), Almond croissant (average, was stretchy, lacked filling, and didn't look as appetizing), and a hot white rose tea (amazing, definitely hit the spot!).

The service was excellent and tips were included (we were a table of five). Overall, even though a few dishes missed the mark, it was an excellent visit, and it continues to be a solid recommendation.

Nice cafe to work from. Lots of space and outdoor seating (I went in winter but would be lovely in the summer). Coffee was Okayish, wifi was good.

I’m here at least once a week for coffee runs, breakfast or to sit down and do some work. Brunch until 4 and BYOB, what more could you ask for? My go to is Beechwood Chix with spicy mayo or their burrito bowl.

It's been 10 years since I last set foot into this wonderful establishment. Despite of the espresso machine not functioning, I was able to enjoy an iced coffee along with a chocolate croissant (Almond croissant was out). I did notice a change of servers in the middle of the experience, which there was no a heads up. Not a big deal; however, it would be nice to know whom is taking care of the table.

Great brunch spot! Good coffee with dairy snd non dairy options. We both got burgers this time around which were good but I would highly recommend their BEC.

Deliciousness! This place is a surprising gem in Jersey City. Coffee was pristine. Pancakes were to die for with fresh made compote and syrup. And the basil mayo on the BLT was everything! Our server Joseph was such a sweetie too! Great service by the whole staff! Will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Great little cafe in downtown for a bit or recharge!

Pretty decent place for the Brunch ! The food was good and service was quick. Coffee and the pancakes were the standout for me.
We were fortunate to get there on time but soon after some time, there were lot of people waiting to be seated . If you plan to visit during weekends, it is better to call them to check on the wait time if any.

Would definitely give it another try the next time…

My experience at Beechwood Cafe was absolutely amazing! We went there for breakfast and I was so impressed with my meal. The Omelet was cooked to perfection and the Avocado Toast that my boyfriend had was also delicious. I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a great breakfast meal.

Cozy cafe with very good latte, actually one of the best latte we have ever had. Our waiter (Calla) was very smiling and friendly, keep up the good work :-). We ordered pancakes, a Chelsea omelet and an avocado toast. It all tasted great and was served shortly after ordering. If we ever come to Jersey City again, we will surely pass by :-)

Came here for Sun Brunch. Place was buzzing with energy.

Amazing brunch spot in grove street! The food and service was very good! We got the matcha pancakes and friend chicken - highly recommend. The flavor on the chicken was mouth watering. If you go early in the morning there is no wait. If you are looking for a solid brunch spot, this is the place.

Great food as always! We had macha pancakes and Beachwood Chix! They have nice dining places and friendly services. I highly recommend the Beachwood Chix. The chicken is so tasty and fresh. We will definitely visit back again! Even if rainy days, they have umbrellas outside to make sure your outdoor dining experience is great.

This is one of my favorite restaurants to have brunch in Jersey City. I love the waffle and chicken, the BLT sandwich, the classic eggs Benedict and the buttermilk pancakes.
