The food here is amazing. I highly recommend the Pad Mei Prig King (I think it’s called). The service is quick and I always get seated right away. After ordering your food, the wait is about 10 - 15 minutes. Appetizers I always get are the steamed pork dumplings and beef satay. The atmosphere is chill, and there is always either a bustling business, with most tables filled, or nice and quiet. Even with the restaurant busy, there is still a TV with news and a quiet-ish atmosphere.

This is my favorite restaurant in Highland Park! It’s not fancy, but is instead nice and cozy—which I prefer. The food is great, the service is good, and they even have fun cocktails. Everything is very reasonably priced.

I visited this Thai restaurant almost 30 years ago and it is still in the same place. Credit to the owners for managing this establishment which serves Central NJ. The food was plenty and tasty! I'll not wait 30 years to go there again.

It’s not a fancy restaurant. It’s been around for a long time. The food was always delicious but very spicy. Be aware of your spicy tolerate level. At times food came out spicier than it should be.
We had Tom yum soup, chicken satay, guay teow neau sub, and puck ruam mit sate. All were wonderful and delicious.
The soup was great for a somewhat chill night. I love the peanut sauce of sate. Puck ruam mit sate was light.
The portion was generous.

This place is my favorite place to get Thai food in Central Jersey. When they tell you that the spice level of their dishes is Thai spicy then you know that their food is going to be authentic!

Ambiance
- plenty of seating
- spacious
- dog friendly

Service
- friendly waiters
- food came to the table quickly

Food
- fried calamari- Chrispy in the outside and juicy and slightly chewy on the inside. The sauce was tangy and sweet. Loved this appetizer!
- Green Curry and white rice, mild- just enough heat for me! This dish is packed with veggies- Thai eggplant, bamboo shoots, red bell pepper, onions. The portion is huge- I got 2.5 servings out of this dish. Rice was warm and fluffy.

I've come here multiple times to dine-in and takeout and I'll definitely be back!

HE WARNED US: I came here with my bf because I desperately wanted Tom Yum soup and Green Curry. When the waiter came to take our order, we asked for a Thai Iced tea, a Pineapple Bomb (alcoholic), Fried Pork Dumplings and a Tom Yum with white meat chicken (spicy level, large enough to share with 2-4 people). For entrees, I got Green Curry (spicy level) and he got something from the fried rice menu (also spicy). Our waiter asked if we were sure about the spice, since their food is spicier than most. My bf and I both feel like we’re amazing at handling spice. So, we were both feeling equally cocky about the spice level and excitedly told the waiter that we wanted it.

Tom Yum (spicy): It hurt to eat, but we both thought it was still yummy. The soup coated our tongue and lips, providing a lasting burn. I don’t sweat when eating spice, but my bf started sweating thick bullets immediately. I had to slow down with eating the soup. We were only able to finish half the soup, whereas I know I could finish the whole thing by myself if the spice was more tolerable. The waiter/bartender was nice enough to give my bf a Mai Tai (unsolicited) since he was sweating and eyeshot from the soup. The waiter explained that the Mai Tai helps with the burn. It did. And it was good.

Pork Fried Dumplings: 6 pieces per order, the dumpling skin was thicker than I anticipated and reminded me of Bao that has been fried. I still liked it.

Green Curry (spicy): By the time I got to eating my entree, my mouth was still in slow burning pain from the soup. The green curry, which had a red color, was incredibly spicy too. I ate it very slowly. The waitress got us another pitcher of water and asked if I wanted to make my curry less spicy (by diluting it with coconut milk). Defeated, I say “yes please.”

While I wait for my entree to return, the waiter/bartender kindly gave me another iced tea and my bf another sample/half glass of Mai Tai, unsolicited! He’s so amazing. The waitress came back with my green curry, and now it’s actually green! It was so much more tolerable and so delish. When the waiter came around again, I asked what the new spice level was on this. He said mild to medium, or “mild plus.”

We took the rest our entrees and the soup to go. We were full from all the liquids it took to quench the fire.

At this point, I was full and super happy with their service. We were treated well and loved the complimentary drinks. The food was delish, even though we should’ve got the medium spice level from the get go. We were humbled this experience and we’ll be back. We’ll be ordering mild-medium.

The mom and dad are literally sweetest people I've ever met. They showered us with love and quality food that other restaurants have been lacking since after the pandemic. The authenticity of the food, the attention they show for each order (starting from ordering it to receiving it), this place absolutely impressed me beyond measure. Will DEFINITELY come again here.

Excellent Thai food, many more options than a traditional Thai restaurant. They do a fantastic job with vegetarian and gluten free options and will moderate the spice level from no spice at all to extreme. They are incredible knowledgeable and kind.

This is a quaint little place in Highland Park. It's easy to miss while you are on the road because there a lot of restaurants along the way. If you are using Google maps, make sure you park the car, at least 500 yards away. I will tell you the reason why , towards the end of my review.

I had the fried pork dumplings as my appetizer , their signature Pad Thai for my mains and their special tea. It was amazing. This was my first Thai food experience and the food lived up to the standard of the badge that the restaurant has - best restaurant in Central Jersey. The inside of the restaurant has a rustic charm that makes the experience even more special.

The portions are very hearty and I couldn't even finish it. So, it's better if you park your car a bit away so that you can walk a bit after a tummy- full meal. Their service would have been the best if the waiting time was shorter. I am going to assume that may be it was because they were short staffed , that particular day.

Amazing food. Great service. Perfect place to get some spicy food and beer.
Tried their Moo Whan(marinated pork), Gai Yang (BBQ chicken) and Gaeng Daeng(red curry)
Pork and BBQ chicken was awesome! Orded BBQ chicken - medium spicy. Order mild option if you are not good with spice. Red curry was good as well.

Not fancy but this hole in the wall has not only a liquor license but the best spicy Thai food for an hour in any direction. The Duck, the Pad Thai, the zombies, the flavor! Chefs kiss 💋

This was a great spot for lunch. $9.95 for green curry noodles with tofu and vegetables. This dish plus an appetizer would be great for two people. Even medium spicy is pretty spicy so be careful when choosing your spice level. The owner is actually from Thailand and we had a very nice conversation. I would recommend this restaurant. Credit card minimum is $15 or pay a 0.35 fee.

Very authentic Thai food with excellent portions and caring staff. Someone mentioned a birthday to them and they came out with a happy birthday message with the fried ice cream and it was very thoughtful!

This place hands-down is one of the best places I have found in New Jersey. From Central to Franklin park, to South Jersey. I’ve tried quite a few. The closest I’ve ever found to this mouth watering quality was in New York City.

Funny story though about a not great place next town over : Recently, my job transferred me to the area. The one thing I was excited about, was that I could eat “ my favorite Thai food place again”… so I went online and ordered.

The food would come and it was completely different than I remembered. Like my favorite pad Kee Mao was all water down. Slimy….

I realized.. it WASNT PAD THAI I was ordering from all along.(my favorite past time place)… it was The Four Seasons, … bleck. They had copied the logo. Somehow the Uber app sort of confuse this. I did this THREE TIMES.. thinking it can’t be bad that many times.

So long story short I finally ordered from the GOOD place, “ PAD THAI”. The one in highland park NJ off 27.

Nothing changed all along and it’s still THE BEST Thai I can find, without driving over an hour away.

The lesson I took away from this? Read more carefully.
Make sure the place is CALLED “Pad Thai!!!!” They are not just good, they are EXCELLENT!

*Look how beautiful this pic is And FULL. The other place that fooled me, filled it HALF up, added water and charged more. In fact the garbage Four Seasons…? I’m pretty sure they gave me peanut sauce from stop and shop and watered down leftovers. ONLY order “PAD THAI…” ( sorry i had say it 5 times ) i swear you will not be disappointed. Huge difference between the two.

This is our long standing favorite thai restaurant. Delicious authentic thai flavors. My personal favorite is the pad see ew, but I also love their curries. Spice levels are NO JOKE! Even as a lover of spicy food, I can hardly get more than the medium level.
I always get their calamari appetizer. Large pieces, crunchy and paired with that sweet chili sauce. Love it!

We have tried so many Thai restaurants in Nj but this is by far the best. It’s not fine dinning but you can’t beat the taste, portion and the price
