I've been ordering from China Star since I moved to Highland Park in 2007. Over time it's changed owners and the menu has changed a little. What hasn't changed is that food is delicious! I got an orange chicken combo with pork fried rice and it was SO GOOD! I had asked for extra spicy orange sauce and it was great! The orange sauce is really well balanced and not overly sweet. The pork fried rice was also really good and not greasy. The portion was very generous and I saved half for lunch the next day.

Honestly the best Chinese place in the town of highland park. Theyre Beef and broccoli is great well seasoned and not too salty. The establishment is overall clean like the average chinese resturants. The service is quick and affordable. I would 100% recommend this place best food in town i would come here again.

China star is a super reliable and authentic go to takeaway spot - and seems to be a family run business. Food is always fresh and delicious - never disappoints

Haven’t been in a while, it was even better than I remembered it. Best dragon and Pheonix ( general Tao chicken and Szechuan shrimp) I have found anywhere, and I have tried every place in my area. Worth the ride 2 towns over!

Just take my money! Delicious Chinese food! Excellent service! Food is always hot and fresh! The best wonton soup and dumplings around! Try to lo mein! It’s one of my most recommended dishes! The sesame chicken extra crispy is outstanding! I have yet to have a bad meal from here!

Since covid I like to have my food delivered and pay online so have touch free delivery. I was in the mood for chinese food and saw online china star. I set up an account and I must say I am very happy. The wonton soup is delicious. The egg rolls are crunchy and egg foo young good. Delivery was quicker than expected. I love this place. Will be ordering from them again very soon.

The chicken and Chinese vegetables & the beef and broccoli were really good. The egg drop soup, wonton soup and chicken rice soup were also really good. No one liked the chicken lo mein though.

This is pretty solid takeout. They are consistent, friendly, and have always made it easy to be safe and eco conscious.

Good friendly service and big portions for reasonable price. I like the egg fu young. Family go to for Chinese takeout.
