Fantastic service from Lorenzo and his team. We had a hiccup with our room when some of the essential equipment was not working. Late night staff was not hugely helpful, but did what they could given the circumstances. Next day Lorenzo got everything resolved to our satisfaction. Would stay here again - location, price and convenience are all good.

We stayed there for two nights. The working/ dining table and the kitchen is great for preparing a simple meal with essential utensils and appliances such as a coffee machine & toaster. The table is big enough for concentration on reading & writing stuff and planning ahead for our trip. They offer to borrow additional appliances when needed. The bed is decent enough for sleeping well at night.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly and welcoming staff who made the check-in process smooth and efficient. The lobby area is modern and well-maintained, setting a positive tone for the rest of my stay.

The room itself was surprisingly spacious and equipped with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchenette and working area was a convenient feature. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and well-stocked with toiletries.

Overall, I was impressed with the value that Sonesta Simply Suites offers for the price. While it may not have all the bells and whistles of a luxury hotel, it more than makes up for it with its comfortable rooms, convenient amenities, and budget-friendly rates. I would definitely consider staying here again on future visits to Jersey City.

Perfect location! A quick 8 minute walk down the riverwalk to the PATH station to cross into the city. The light rail is right outside to connect to the ferry too. Room had great amenities for a suite. Queen bed wasn't the most comfortable (it was pretty hard) but everything else made up for it! Would stay here again 10/10!

We really enjoyed our stay here. This hotel was within walking distance of the Exchange Place NJ Path Train Station. You can tap with apple pay at this station too which was convenient. Easy access to Manhattan or the rest of New Jersey whenever you need it.

Hotel was clean and well maintained. I don't know if this was unique to our room or every room in the hotel but we had a full size refrigerator, stovetop, dishwasher, microwave and kitchen sink all of which was a really nice addition to the room. They also have a locked cabinet on the ground floor where you can check out a toaster oven, crock pot or glassware of your choosing. I've never seen a hotel with amenities like this which was a nice suprise. Airbnb can kick rocks when places like this exist.

Staff here are courteous as well. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Hotel was very clean friendly staff. Love the fact that after 10p front door locks to lobby and can only open if you have a keycard, also there was a security guard at the front. Pay an extra 28.00 for parking in the lot that you also use a keycard to get in and out parking lot did not mind that extra fee for a piece of mind for my car. Bed was comfortable heat works perfect. Full size refrigerator and it was clean. Enough towels and wash clothes.

Spent 4nights here. Helpful staff, good location,just few minutes to PATH station Exchange and Whole foods market, several options for have a breakfast nearby. Rooms suitable space. Recommended.

Staff was very friendly and we had an issue with our reservation but they were helpful and didn’t make anything more inconvenient for us.

We were asked about room preferences and we’re honored our requests for our suite and had a cool view of the city! The suite was spacious, had a kitchen and office desk and was clean.

The only issues we had included our phone in the room not working but apparently they’re having issues with the phones throughout the whole hotel.. and when checking out they have to give you a new key card in order to leave the hotel if you parked in the gated lot. We didn’t know this until we were trying to leave so I had to go back in and ask. It would make more sense if the exit gate had a sensor so you can leave right away but it wasn’t a huge inconvenience since it took 5 seconds to get the new key card.

Overall I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place!

We stayed in one of their 1 bed suites for 9 days. Since it was for a long stay, we were looking for a place where we can cook, kinda like an airbnb. This hotel was perfect with full size kitchen including pots,pans,utensils and dishes, dishwasher,full size fridge and smooth top stove! Internet was also including, we didnt had a car to park, I think there is a per day charge to park if you have a car.
We stayed there end of july, they were renovating, so we didnt get to use their laundromat, gym and swimming pool, I am not taking any stars off for not having these amenities as they had to do these renovations at some point. Staff said the renovations will be done by aug. Front desk and staff were amazing. Since we didn't had a car, we ordered our groceries online from Shop rite and also some things from Amazon. The staff will let you know when they receive something for you- you need to inform them ahead though.
I returned some things to amazon, the front desk staff was very helpful- he gave my packages to UPS driver without forgetting.
The location was perfect, as it was walking distance to light train station. We walked by the river in the evenings.The view of newyork skyline from there was amazing. There is a cvs nearby if you need some essentials.
Overall we had a great stay! Highly recommend!!

I have business trips in Jersey City several times a year and Sonesta is always the hotel I chose to stay at. Firstly because of its location (near my office) but also to the PATH train direct to midtown Manhattan and Downtown Manhattan (short 5/10min ride). The hotel is very well maintained. I never had an issue with the cleanness of the common places and rooms. The rooms are spacious and all have their own kitchenette and bathroom. Staff is professional and friendly. Parking on premises is safe and easy for a cost of $50/day. I would highly recommend.

Nice suite hotel. excellent front desk, very helpful and polite. Lorenzo was exceptional. Views across the rivers are amazing. Clean and well managed property. Location is prime you have everything on 5 mins of walk. Will stay again for sure.

Really appreciate the place, it's 10 minutes walking to Newport Path or 5 minutes walking to Exchange Place Path, which takes less than 10 minutes to let you in World Trade Center station. The room is very cozy and has kitchen, so you can cook if you want (as I do). It's also very near of the sea pathway, where you can have an outstanding view of Manhattan.

Suite-sized rooms include full kitchens with dishware, full size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, sink, coffeemaker, stovetop, counterspace and storage space. Bedroom is behind another closed-door. Closet in the bedroom. Closet in the living area. The common area includes a very long work desk with multiple chairs, including one rolling work chair. Television in the bedroom. Television in the living area. Full bath. All very clean. Moderately-sized sofa. Armchair. Overhead lights and standing lamps all amber, none fluorescent. Space included both carpeting and bare floor. Both televisions work off of the same remote control. Staff both friendly and helpful. Purchasable snacks and and drinks in the lobby. Hotel willing to Mark and hold onto your suitcase if you must check out before catching a late flight. Upon request, guests are furnished with information regarding the eateries in the local area. Hotel staff was also very good at giving classic directions. Phones in both rooms. Short walk to Exchange Place and the riverside. Great pillows! Very close to local rail transportation (+/- one block.). Iron. Ironing board. Hair dryer. Both bar soap and liquid. Towel hooks. Warm selections of mass produced wall art. Smoke detectors in both rooms. Free WiFi. WiFi requires a selection and simple login in the form of accepting a terms of use

Minor drawbacks included forgivable furniture wear on some of the chairs at the desk. My toilet tank kept running non-stop but was inaudible with the bathroom door closed. Cable television went out for the entire hotel on the second day of my stay. One very small child's beverage was forgivably left behind in the refrigerator by the previous occupant, indicating that it might not get fully cleaned between each stay. There is a wildly makeshift and ugly extension to the room's air temperature control, presumably allowing it to heat or cool the two main rooms simultaneously. However, that does not seem to work effectively... requested 15° swings in temperature actually only effectuated about a 3 to 4 degree shift over 4 hours. Multiple addresses for this location appear online, depending upon whether you book through Expedia, found the address published elsewhere, or just use GPS. The result of that is such that UberEats drivers, Uber drivers, and cab drivers who use GPS are not being directed to the front of the hotel, rather to adjacent lots and the back of the building. Very poor view on lower floors. As most modern hotels, either pursuant to labor issues or sustainability directives, this hotel does not clean your room each day of a multiple-day stay by default; so save your towels and make your bed. I did hear one guest at the front desk verbally requesting toilet tissue. My company paid for me, and I feel it is worth the price, but get ready for some sticker shock if you visit from a more suburban or rural area.

Worth the money!

Big rooms with all facilities. Free washing (bring your pods). Exceptional views and service. Lorenzo at front desk was amicable and made our stay comfortable. Located right next to the Hudson berger trail and the waterfront! Will define staying here every time I visit jersey city and even recommend to my folks to stay here.

Fully clean rooms and bathroom! We stayed there for four days and we enjoyed our stay. Staff was attentive and their service was also quick. Front desk staff was so helpful and nice to everyone. Rooms are so quite and beautiful. Highly recommend this hotel to everyone out there! 👍

Nice hotel and location for families, ordering deliver to hotel, and walkable to Exchange Place and Newport Mall area.

Large rooms with kitchens are a welcome change to tight NYC hotels, a meal delivery and pickup area at front of hotel with security officer is a convenient perk.

Service at check in by Lorenzo was welcoming and reminded my of Travel Pass perks.

Although bed is comfortable, some local light rail train traffic keeps you aware of the busy Jersey City.

Excellent stay! Rooms are clean and comfortable. Shower pressure is awesome. The room has a little kitchenette with basic essentials. They even have a bulletin board in the room for you to use if you’re on a long work stay! You can borrow games, wine glasses, waffle makers, crock pots, etc. etc. Anything you’d possibly need, they have! They’ve thought of everything! We’d stay here again in a heartbeat! Excellent quality for an amazing price.

This place has been amazing, and for a great low price. The front desk personnel (Fernando especially) are a 10 out 10. They got me into my room 2 hours early and made sure my kids and i had everything we absolutely needed to have a great stay.

The room itself is very very clean and spacious, and the bathroom is clean with great soap provided. The kitchen has a dishwasher, stovetop, fridge, freezer, microwave, and all the dishes and utensils you would need for anything. The beds are comfortable (even the pull out couch). The Tvs work great with tons of channels, there are two in the room i stayed in.

Getting delivery here was very easy and even though there is a fee for parking it is safe and secure and worth the money.

I recently spent three days at this site, and my impression is that they have some of the happiest and most welcoming staff at the main lobby that I've ever experienced. Every time I came or went I received a sincere greeting. The room was quiet, very comfortable, and had space to relax in after a day of work. The layout is also great if you have to work from your room; Large desk surface, comfortable work chair, and a coffee pot right behind you. The gym is well equipped and clean, and there are many great dining options within a short walk. I'm coming back in a few days, and staying here again as I enjoyed it so much.

Very reasonably priced. For about $100 a night we had a kitchenette and access to laundry. Staff was lovely and free coffee was a bonus. Walking distance to grocery, beautiful walkway, and dozens of bars and food options. Also had a view of the New York skyline with a 5 minute walk to public transit. I will stay here any time I am in Jersey City.
